We've been taking all three of our kids here (ages 5, 7, and 17), and we honestly couldn't be happier. The dentists and staff are incredibly kind, patient, and welcoming. They do an amazing job of making kids feel comfortable, no matter their age. My oldest even gets orthodontic care here, which has been so convenient, and everything has gone smoothly. They also accept a wide range of insurance, which makes things much less stressful as a parent. What truly stands out to us is how wonderful they are with my youngest, who is on the spectrum. The staff is understanding, calm, and accommodating, they always take the time to meet him where he's at. That level of care means more to us than we can say. We have tried other children's dentists in the area and nothing compares to the care in this office. We're so grateful to have found a dental office we trust for all of our children. We have going to Kanopi kids since around the time they had opened and they have never been any less than amazing. My son had fear of going to the dentist previously and since being with Dr Anwar , he no longer does . I truly believe it is all due to the dentist's skills, positivity and gentle nature. They always talk to the kids directly ensuring they are okay and comfortable. The visits are always thorough. In addition to the services the kids have received~ I have always loved how calm and inviting the waiting room is for families. Will be recommending my friends and family here! The kids had such an amazing experience here. To start, the place was very clean and nice, the decor there was so cute! We love the character they use and all the greenery, it gave the kids so much comfort walking in they did not feel scared or nervous for their appt. The workers were very polite, patience and friendly. My kids had Melissa and Viri and they were so great at their job! They were very patience and sweet to the boys, they made them very comfortable and took their time, the doctor there was also very amazing and kind. We did not feel rushed and felt that we got the care needed for the boys. We've experienced bad dental places who wanted to take advantage of treatment and I'm so happy to find a place that takes patient care as their main priority. This was the first time my kids enjoyed their dental experience. They asked if they can come back the next day, now that's telling on its own! We went here for a second opinion for my daughter's treatment. Our previous dentist insisted that my daughter needs to undergo a treatment in which I am not comfortable with the idea as I felt like she's too young for it. I am so glad that we went here! The place is very clean. The staff are nice and patient. Doctor is so knowledgeable and explained everything that "us, first time parents" won't even know if it wasn't mentioned. The concerns we have and ways to prevent cavities has been mentioned as well, all the important matters! I had been in two dentists office before this and I always walked out of their offices thinking of how bad of a parent must I have been. My daughter's personal hygiene was rated "poor" at one time, which made me feel really bad considering that we have been doing all the brushes and flossing that we were instructed to. But... this is the first time that I walked out of an office feeling like I wasn't attacked. I felt seen.. as parents, it is very important to hear an affirmations that we are doing our best for our child. No blaming or undermining. Took my 22mo old here today and had SUCH a positive experience!! The team is efficient and fast, much needed when it comes to a toddlers patience; the doctor is thorough and caring; and they even sent her home with a little toy! We had been to another dentist in Clayton in March of 2024 and it was sadly much different - she cried, screamed, we had to hold her down. But that wasn't the case here; I was able to calmly hold her in my lap while they examined her teeth, brushed them, and applied fluoride. Unprofessional and rude front desk person! I had my son scheduled appointment a month ahead. Then less than a week before his scheduled date they called me saying they don't take my insurance. Even worst that lady insisted that I am confused with what type of insurance I have I've been dealing with specialists and others with my insurance for 6 years for my spectrum child, telling me that I am confused with what type of insurance we had? FYI we have two insurance which they say at first that they do accepting. What makes me upset is that when I asked them if they don't accept my insurance then why there number listed as my in-network insurance? That's where I found them at first. NO other explanation besides she just told me that I am confused fyi doesn't even deserve a 1 star for me. read more

This review is VERY LONG OVER DUE. Amazing experience from the first moment I called to schedule, all the way through to my child's appointment. We had 2 dental emergencies that required tooth extraction 2 weeks apart from each other and they took us as soon as they could. Front desk and back staff were warm, calm, and welcoming. Dr. Anwar is amazing, and was honest with my child, kept her calm and worked quickly and efficiently. He explained things in a simple and professional manner that made my daughter and I feel safe. She literally just asked to go back because she has a tooth growing out while the other hasn't fell out (which is what triggered my memory to leave this review lol) we will be going back soon and it's so nice and refreshing to actually look forward to the dentist! Went in today with my family of 3 kids, where can I start off, the office is so nice it smells super good and the vibe in there is so calm, will definitely be telling my family members to bring there kids here. And the RDA Viri and Christine are the best and very helpful when my kid didn't want to continue his brushing, but with there help we somehow made it work. I read one review mentioning the front desk's rude demeanor, but when I went in, I was made aware that both front desk ladies are new and are extremely professional and nice. 5 out of 5! We need more places like this for kids! The atmosphere is very uplifting, kid friendly, and the whole staff display expert skills working with kids. I feel confident and safe with my kids being taken care by Dr Anwar and his staff. I drive over 30 mins to bring my kids here for their dentistry work, and it's beyond worth it. My kids look forward to coming here, and they go back home motivated and excited to brush their teeth. As busy parents, it makes remembering appointments and dealing with insurance very challenging. Their front desk is phenomenal! They texted me reminders for my kids' appointments, and also handled calling my insurance and fixing the situation. First off, I'd like to say that my family has had horrible experiences with dentists because our child is on the spectrum and very difficult when it comes to having his teeth worked on. So, I searched high and low for a new dentist that would be more sensitive and understanding to my child's needs. I came across Kanopi Kids website and let me tell you, their website was super helpful and had so much information on it. More than I even expected, including a 'Comfort Page' which I haven't seen before and it did give me a lot of comfort. (Check it out for yourself) When I called, the front desk was so friendly and helpful. It was like night and day from the last few places we visited. They went above and beyond to help my child with the work they needed done. I was surprised to see how many things they were willing to try for my child's comfort. Came here for my sons first dentist appointment and had a mixture of both good and bad experience. Front desk was extremely rude towards my mother and i, she did not greet us as we came in, refused to use my insurance but ended up doing so, and also butted into my mother's conversation making smart remarks. Calls were also coming in and she didnt even bother picking them up. I dont believe thats the type of customer service you should have as you walk in. We were going to leave based off her actions but then we decided to stay, and i'm glad we did because Dr.Anwar and his staff treated my little boy with care and made him feel safe during his first dentist appointment. I was let down at first and emotional because this was my 1yr old sons first appointment and things weren't going as i thought it would, but if we hadn't stayed we would've never knew the great customer service they have in the back. read more
