Do not use this place! They quoted me $59 for the service charge ($30 off of the original $89 price) and then $139 for my battery and between $60 to $90 to install the battery (apparantly it's whatever the driver wants to charge). The dispatcher knew my location and knew that I would be meeting the driver at the garage entrance when he got here. The driver got here, installed my battery in 15 minutes and gave me my invoice.... $69 for the service charge, another $20 because it's a garbage (mind you they knew it was a garage and never mentioned this charge, plus he just walked the battery right into the garage to my car), $95 for installation and $179 for the battery. So, long story short they literally overcharged every single thing and then threw in a charge that was never discussed. Charged DOUBLE the quoted price over the phone. I definitely felt like I was being taken advantage of, as anyone whose vehicle breaks down on a workday would feel -- the price over the phone was "90-100 dollars" and by the time the tow truck showed up, they had increased the price to $205. I had already waited an hour (after a 30 minute promised time) and couldn't afford to waste time looking for somebody else. The guys who actually did the towing were fine, if not great, but as I told them the changing costs after the long wait was simply bad business. My advice is to look elsewhere. read more

I called for a winching service and was quoted a 30 minute arrival time - give or take a few due to traffic- and was supposed to receive a call from my tech within 15 min. I spoke with a woman named Sally, who was not pleasant or helpful. I was redirected to her multiple times as I called back at 30 min and 50 min without a call from my tech. When I finally received a call at 55 min, it was to say that it would take another 30-45 min to arrive. Each time I called, I received no apology for the long delays and no contact, only more rudeness. There was no offer of discounted price due to the long wait past the quoted time. The manager will be hearing from me about the awful service provided. It took 2 hours for the tech to arrive. They outsourced it to Chavez towing, which did a great job. The quote given to me at the end was $100 more than originally quoted, due to labor costs. These were NEVER discussed at any point in the booking call, even though we discussed in detail what was needed and she could have provided an estimate based on that info. Absolutely zero customer service. I called them yesterday at 5:40pm when my car broke down on the side of the 75 frontage road. I called and asked them for a quote to tow my car from my current location to a shop in Plano. The man on the phone asked we where I was, I said "I'm on the side of the the road on the frontage road of 75 at Midpark". He then yelled at me "Where are you at though?". I said again "I'm on the side of the road. In front of the entrance to Texas Instruments at 75 and Midpark". He yelled again! "But where are you at!?". This times I just said on the side of the road. And he snidely said "is your car in traffic, on the side of the road, in a parking lot?". I told him I was on the side of the road out of the way of traffic. At this point he says "That's all I was asking". I hung up. I would highly recommend hiring someone with better customer service ability, especially since he's most likely communicating with people who are already in a stressful situation. read more

Hired to move two items from two zip codes within Dallas city limits. Charged price was $121 more than quoted price. Charged for mileage because route tow driver chose between the two Dallas locations took him outside city limits. We were told we didn't need to be available for pick up and drop off, yet were charged for "extra person" required for them to do the tow on vehicles they were completely aware of during estimate. And, charged full price for tow: vehicles (a one axle trailer and a motorcycle) were both in a driveway, and dropped off in a driveway). Required no chains, jacks, hydraulics, or special equipment. Will continue to pursue through legal channels and dispute charge through bank. Buyer - beware. read more

I haven't had many tow experiences to go by , but I have to say that if I get stranded again this will be the place that I call!! I was stuck on the side of 75 late at night and called Delta towing in a panic. A lady named Angel answered the phone ( a sign?) and quickly calmed me down and reassured me. She broke down the prices for me, which was a $55 service call and anywhere from $35 to $65 for a basic tow inside the city limits and explained how the process worked. Less than five minutes later the driver called me to let me know he was on his way and told me he would be there in thirty minutes. It didn't seem like that long and he was there. The driver was courteous, friendly and fast. I was able to ride with him to my friends repair shop where we took my car. All in all, I believe I received quality service, and if I am ever stuck in a situation like this again, I will know who to call. read more

SLOW SERVICE, HIGH PRICES! They told me at 1:06 PM (as per my call log) that they would get to me in 30 minutes, and didn't arrive until after 2. Plus, they charged me $120 for a 1.9 mile tow (as per Google maps). By way of reference, the mechanic at the garage I towed my car to told me the towing service they often use charges $65 for less than 3 miles, and that his last customer had paid $85 for a tow from Oak Cliff, at least three times as far. I called Delta late in the evening to get an estimate and they aswered the phone immediately. Diego was incredibly helpful, assisting me to locate the exact spot of my car, since the addresses weren't clear where I was. He was fast, but provided all the information, quoting pices for service, dintance and the price for late night towing. He assisted with credit card information and was patient even when I needed to put him on hold to speak with my mechanic. I have saved them in my contacts and highy recommend them. They charge $55 just to get a tow truck over, and then the tow truck service, which is a different service from Delta Towing, charge an extra amount for actual service. They tell you one price on the phone, (even after you provide the beginning/ending address) then AFTER the driver hooks your car up he gives you a bull$?!t story and jacks up the price. THEN he pretends to call his supervisor but won't stand in front of you and talk nor allow to speak with the supervisor. Then proceeds to walk off clear out of view to talk to him! He then comes back after I heard him on the phone yelling in a different language and says "there may be unforeseen charges ma'am" I smile and say "there may be an unforeseen ass whippin too!" Delta came out to my car for a flat tire. The guy who changed the tire damaged my car and when I called for a refund I was refused service by a rude dispatcher. That's not even the worse part. The tow truck driver asked to see my phone and wrote his own review on Google and gave himself a five star rating. It makes me assume the majority of positive reviews on this business are fake. I called Delta towing for a jump. They did quote me 79.00 for the service call on the phone and $20-$40 for the jump. The driver showed up and hooked the cables up to my car backwards and blew out fuses. I was the one who had to tell the technician he was hooking it up backwards and I'm a girl!! Ridiculous!! I then had to take my car into a repair station the next day to fix my fuses. When I asked Delta towing about the rates, they said the 20-40 rate was based on the amount of work the technician had to do. Well, if he had hooked it up correctly the first time, he could have been out of there in 5 min. Also.. the website shows the standard service call is 59.00 and 79.00 after 9p. Long story short, they were Awesome and we highly recommend! Unfortunately, my boyfriend's car decided to die in 5pm, Friday traffic. He left his car overnight in a parking lot at 35 and 635. We called Delta the next morning (thanks to Yelp) and they were there within 10-15 minutes. Ariel (guy) was very nice, very helpful, and made sure to check with us what the shortest route was to our desired destination. In our experience, you can't go wrong with this great business! Don't ever call them if you need your tire changed in an emergency. When I asked them over the phone they said it would only be $59 non-refundable and I thought, OK that's great! Then when they arrived all of a sudden it was going to be $120. When I explained that I didn't have enough money because I was under the assumption it would only be $59 they acted like they could try and negotiate a price, but then just said well that's our pricing we can't do anything about it and left without even touching my tire. This is the worse experience I have ever had with any service organization. I was "talked out" of renewing my AAA to get my husbands car towed 11 miles. Don't believe anything that these people say. They give a "range" to get you to choose their service and then when your car arrives, you find out what it is really going to cost. Mine was $190.00. When I called to discuss with them while my car was still on the wrecker, I was told "we gave you a range" and that is what it cost. Then the wrecker driver blocked the neighbors driveway where he could not leave his driveway. When he tried to get the wrecker driver to move 10 feet, the wrecker driver let my neighbor know 'he had a gun". There has to be more reputable people than these people. I called the day before to get a tow on a Saturday. I told him that they could pick it up after 8:30 in the morning because the company set to get the keys from opens up at 7:30. The guy said okay. An hour later I get a call Sir your credit card is not good can I get another one. I told him it won't be good until tomorrow. Please take whatever money that you need tomorrow when the toe is set for. I got a discount because of this and I thought it was going to be less than $100. However the next day the Saturday it came up to $174. They try to explain that they told me all of this last night. I did not get any of that information that it was going to be $59 for the serve fee and either between $39 and $74 for the tow or I would not have used them. Be aware most towing companies are out not to help you out. And this company is the worst. I do not even do these Yelp reviews. Yet this forced me to do this a review hopefully people will not use this company or any of the Delta towing companies. Their place is cheaper out there. I looked around most of the day yesterday. And I should have used one of those. I hope you read and do not use them. Use any of the others. Even for an emergency call I would use them. Very pleased with Delta Towing. Towing a car is never fun, but this company--and the driver Ariel especially--made it bearable. The gentleman on the phone when I called initially was concise and efficient in explaining the process and prices to me. Within 40 minutes the tow truck was at my car. Ariel was very affable and very skilled. Not only was my car ready to go within 20 minutes, but I also almost didn't want the ride to the service shop to end because I had such a great time talking to him while sitting in the passenger's seat. Ariel is definitely a customer-oriented driver and I am lucky to have been serviced by him. What's more--he was doing all this manual labor only a couple of days before his wedding yet had no complaints: he exuded happiness on the job and it made me very comfortable. I found Delta towing through Google and after speaking with them on the phone, I decided to go with them instead of the other companies. The person I spoke with was very nice and helpful. I had no idea that it wouldn't actually be Delta that would come tow my car, but a secondary person that was contracted out (or as stated on my invoice "referred by"). The guy who came to tow my car was rude and demeaning and asked if I was sure I had gas in the car since it wouldn't start. I guess since I'm a woman I'm dumb as rocks. I told him I KNEW it was the starter and I called for a tow, not a mechanic. He also told me he couldn't get it out of our garage. This had been previously discussed IN DEPTH with the person at Delta. I specifically asked if they could get it out of the garage. I had to roll my car out of my garage and into our alley, something I was not comfortable doing since it was on a hill. If I knew he couldn't do it I would of had my husband roll it out. The biggest complaint I have was the price. They charged $120 to tow my car 2 blocks...not even 1/4 of a mile. But, he had to charge for 1 mile...whatever that means. I was NOT quoted that price. When I questioned the driver he told me that it was the weight of my car and that he had to hook it up with "special equipment". What?? This was not the first time I've had my car towed. I've never heard that before and just recently we had it towed again, by a different company, and it was $85 to tow it 20 miles! Worst experience EVER! Buyer beware!!!!! They quoted one price ($85 service fee+$30-60 tow fee) and then did our tow and parked the LARGE empty tow truck behind our vehicle, locking us in a parking space unable to get out and gave a bill with an extra $105 in fees for a total of $255. We questioned the charges and he said it is what it is. We asked if he was an owner of the company (because of the poor customer service and dishonest practice of price gouging). He told us "no" and said that we could call the main office. After signing the receipt to get out of the situation, we called the main office, and the company would not handle the situation we presented on the phone. Instead, the rep of the company at the main office tried to get us back on the phone with the driver after 15 minutes of arguing, stating that the driver is the one who had the ability to change the bill back to what was expected. After I told the guy that I did not want to speak with the driver AGAIN, the conversation escalated and the company rep on the phone then told me to go ahead and write a poor review and even told me that there was an email address that I could send a formal complaint to. great & friendly customer service, quick response (like i won the lottery), excellent tow truck driver, decent price. based on other reviews, sounds like i worked w/ a different company. maybe new managers or they took comments to improve their service. whatever, they did a great job for me. a few nites ago around 8pm, my prius' battery died - wasnt sure if it was the 12volt or the hybrid. so decided to take it to my toyota dealership. called a few places but no one could get there in less than hour (it had been raining real hard that evening). i did a search for towing services near my zip code and found a listing for Towing-dallas.com. My call was answered in a few rings, the guy was very easy to work with, he actually knew the name of the car wash where i was (i didnt). he said one of his drivers would call me. Jesus called about 5 mins later and said he'd be there in about 20 mins. He arrived and, within 15 mins, had my car loaded up and ready to go. Had him drive by my house so i could get my other car cos i needed to leave key & paperwork at the dealership. Once at the dealership, he quickly & safely had the car unloaded and then got the invoice ready for my payment. Unfortunately, the days of $35 towing services are long gone - $60 to show up, $95 for the tow :^(. Fortunately, Delta Towing of Dallas was available that nite. Deceptive pricing. Their website says $55 for the call, and typical tow within town $35-$65, and also mentions $3/mile. We took the typical tow within town to be the relevant number. What we actually got charged was $55 for the hookup PLUS $65 for the tow within town ($120 total up to now), PLUS $3 per mile...5 miles, $15 +$120 gave us a total including tax of $137. They did NOT detail what the price would be on the phone or when picking up...PLUS they sent another truck from an entirely different company. On the phone, they said that the driver actually determines the price. I'll never use them again, and heartily recommend to everyone else to steer clear of them as well. read more
