My son is in swim lessons and has been since January. He used to swim very well pre Covid so this was the first we were ready to commit back to this. He had the nicest instructor who since left but all the instructors so far have been great! The facility is nice, water for smaller pool is always super warm, and they have swim parties where parents can drop kids off for a few hours on a Saturday. My son is back to the level he was at before Covid and perfecting his strokes. I Highly recommend if you're looking for lessons. read more

For almost a year I was so happy that I had found a place where my Autistic Little could get classes. He loves the water and it was important that he learned or we got him comfortable and try to teach him safety first and like I said for the first 9 months he was happy and I was happy then his instructor left and was placed with a new instructor who by the 2nd week told her supervisor she was afraid to work with my son. My son is non-verbal, Autistic and has failed behavioral assessments which means there are no bad behaviors. If anything he is too affectionate so I guess that didn't work for her and they let us go as they didn't have anyone to teach him. I called several months later to check in to see if they had hired anyone able to work with an Autistic child, my words were to them but they never called. So I say all this to say that yes I was happy with them until I wasn't until they let us go because no one could work with my then 4-year-old non-verbal, Autistic, no negative behaviors child. read more

Warning regarding Delta Valley Swim class My 2.5 year old old daughter has been attending swim classes at Delta Valley Health Club for 2 years. They recently hired a new manager who upped the two year old class size to 3 children. The swim instructor swims out with one child leaving the other 2 alone on the other side of the pool sitting in the water on the steps. There is no other adult in the pool area. No lifeguard, no one watching from the deck. The parents are in the waiting room watching through a window. Now that there are two kids sitting on the steps, the are splashing and playing with each other because they are TWO years old. There have been some incidents where a child has fallen into the pool and the instructor is unaware. Each time a parent had to run from the waiting room to rescue their child. I brought up my concerns with the new manager. Either get a lifeguard in there watching from the deck, or go back to a class size of 2 children. This is a safety issue! She proceeded to lecture me for 10 minutes about how this is a business and her priority is making money. She needs 3 kids in each class to make more money. Having another employee in the swim area would cost money, and again, her priority is making money. With the weather getting warmer, I wanted everyone aware of Delta Valley and their priorities. I am so disgusted when I think about how much money I wasted here. My boys took lessons here for 7 months last year and didn't learn a thing! As this was our first time doing this I had no idea what to expect. But after talking to other friends that are parents and overhearing parents at Delta Valley complain that their kids weren't leaning anything I learned that this is not normal. That kids should be moving up a level every 6 weeks. That water safety should be the first thing taught. I agree with one reviewer that the environment is down right dangerous. Each instructor has 2-3 kids and mine came there not being able to swim. And the instructions would leave them on the side and I would feel so nervous when every time their back would be to my children while helping another child. They basically hold onto the child and swim them around the pool a few times, have them jump in a few times while holding an instructors hand and then the lesson is over. They are not teaching them how to tread water, they do not encourage the child to swim on their own or jump in on their own, it's just like a play date in the water. And the most unprofessional part of it all is all the teachers chit chat the entire lesson amongst them selves. They would talk about the most inappropriate stuff too like going on dates, how they failed a test, and how this or that kid is a brat.Half the time their eyes were on their buddies and not on the children. Additionally they have very high turn over rate. So my children had 6 teachers in 7 months. Another reason it was impossible to learn anything since each teacher had own style and there's no real program in place. I will say out of all the sad excuses for teachers I encountered there was one that was good, Lindy. She was good to my kids and didn't fool around with her coworkers. My kids started to make a little progress during their month with her- she pushed them out of their confort zone. Her schedule was limited and we couldn't stay with her and the following month my older son went completely backwards on all the progress he had made which is why I finally pulled them. I feel angry, but mostly super disappointed my children didn't learn how to swim. I really wanted that for them now we are still at square one almost a year later. read more

I enrolled my kids this summer (2021) for private swimming lessons. My 7 & 4 years old learned so fast I'm very impressed with only 25min a week in 2 months. I want to give credit to Coach Emily, she did a great job and always provided me with feedbacks after each class. I would recommend this place to any friend. read more

The indoor pools are always so clean and the staff is amazing especially "Liz " she is very helpful and always so positive , she runs aquatics and again the pools are always nice and warm. 100% recommend ! read more

I do not recommend this place for any kids that Are not able to swim or stay above water on their own. My 3 year old son was in a class with 2 other kids and he was waiting on the step for his turn and fell in the water and was unable to get back to the step and the instructor had no idea. She was across the pool with her backed turned to him. He was literally fully underwater bobbing up and down panicking and thank God my husband and I were watching and ran in and then another instructor finally saw and grabbed him. Pretty scary moment. We have done lessons at other places that are much more professional and have someone on deck watching the kids for situations like that. I have heard after sharing my story that this is not the first time his has happened. Be wary of this place for the littles. read more

My daughter started swimming here when she was 3 years old, and after a year, she is still going strong. She absolutely LOVES this place. We have had the experience of working with various instructors & they have all been fantastic. In 1 years time, she can backstroke the length of the pool all by herself. She is continuously learning & being challenged & I feel like this is such a great place for anyone to learn how to swim. read more

If your looking for reasonable cost swim lessons for kids. This is the place. My 2 kids 3 and 2 where so afraid of the water and by lesson two they are going under the water and now love going swimming. I highly recommend. Deandra is the best. My daughter use to scream when getting in the water and after two lessons she's a fish. We have only been taking lessons here for 3 weeks today once a week and the dramatic change already. This is definitely the place I will continue to take them. The staff is all so helpful and friendly. read more

I never write reviews but in this case it's a must. Our son has been taking swim lessons here for almost a year now and almost every session he's not on the schedule when we've had the same set time every Saturday. We froze our account for the month of August because of vacationing for the majority of the month. My husband called last week to unfreeze it and scheduled his lesson for today at 9am. Low and behold we get there he's not on the schedule or even in the system. Mind you we already paid. This is bad business and I would recommend anyone here! read more

The swim lessons were okay, but they make you sign up for a contract. When you go to cancel, they talk you into doing a "hold" instead. Then if you don't go back in to cancel in person in writing, they restart billing you. read more

It took me a long time to find an indoor swimming pool in Brentwood and I am so glad I found this place. It's part of the delta valley athletic club (gym) but you can take swim lessons without being a member. Other places I called required gym membership and payment for swim lessons. It is a bit more a month for non members. The staff are all good but some are GREAT! Both my daughters (ages 3.5 & 11 months) get lessons from Andrea. She is wonderful and patient. Very very good with younger children who cry and are getting used to the water. My older daughter started swimming there at 1 and has made so much progress with Andrea. Sally is also very good. She has been teaching swimming for many years. The facility is clean and the pool is warm. The bathrooms are stocked with towels and shampoo, conditioner, and soap, and other little things. I am so glad I found this place. It can be slightly pricey compared to other places but I don't mind paying that for a warm indoor pool which is great all year around. read more
