After reopening from the Covid shutdown this dry cleaner got a new computer system. Now when they print out your ticket the prices are not shown. I naively did not ask about it. I also made specific requests for my clothing such as to have blouses laundered rather than dry cleaned and to have an alterations item not to be cleaned at all, only repaired. when I picked up my clothing I was shocked to see they increased their prices almost double. Not only that they did not make note or nor listen to my specific requests. I have been coming here for YEARS and never had an issue before. When I picked up my clothing, everything was dry cleaned which now costs $6 per item. I voiced my concerns about being overcharged. There's a lot of other dry cleaners out there, and don't mind taking my business elsewhere. read more

I'm usually a very peaceful and happy person, but that always changes when I have to interact with the overweight worker named Lucy. Her customer service is very unprofessional. She is often very rude on the phone and makes it very obvious that she is annoyed to work there. It's been more than one occasion where she would lie to my face about the time it would take for my clothes to be ready, I know this because the times she gives me are unusually long, so I check with another worker and it turns out that she lies about the time. At one point she tried charging me more than what it actually was. I am not the only person this whale does this to, she has done it to my mother as well. One last thing. PLEASE learn to have better hygiene. It is unbelievable how disgusting you are and act in front of customers. I understand you may not like you're job, but you have to ATLEAST behave and look professional and treat customers with respect. read more

We've been coming to Deluxe Dry Cleaners for several years now and I am bit shocked to see such negative reviews. The service here has always been very consistent and our clothes are usually ready the next day. It's worth mentioning that there was a time when we nearly lost our clothes due to a mix-up, but the problem was resolved pretty quickly and nothing was lost. The employees have always been polite and straightforward during our visits. The location itself is very convenient and the only thing worth complaining about is the afternoon traffic on Eldridge. Other than that, I'm not sure if anything about the services offered here makes it any better or worse than another dry cleaner. Overall, Deluxe Dry Cleaners is a pretty solid place to get your clothes done. I'd definitely recommend them to anyone who lives in the area. read more

Informed attendant that I was not given that amount at drop off no explanation so just paid for my items.Definitely not worth the cost or second try Too expensive for 7 casual non formal dresses and shirt. I took my wedding dress here to be pressed before the wedding - the charge $31 which I thought was high but really didn't have the time or energy to go somewhere else as this is close to my job. I go to pick my dress up and the back is still wrinkled, like it hadn't been ironed. So I had to leave it for them to iron it again. They had hung it up on the wire laundry hangers and not the one I brought the dress in on from the boutique (well David's bridal but it sounded fancy). Anyhoo, they looked around and around and finally found it. Thankfully my name was on the hanger. I go to pick up my dress today and the garment bag that I purchased specifically for the dress ($20) has coffee stains on the front and the back. WTF. It wasn't there last week when they tried to give me back the wrinkled dress. Then the owner wants to argue with me about it. Sir, why would I even have coffee around my frigging wedding gown. BTW I don't even drink coffee at home or in my car which is the only two places the dress has been. Anyway, instead of saying I'm not sure how this happened or let me compensate you for having to come back here again and the coffee stain. He (who I assume is the owner) was pretty dismissive saying he didn't drink coffee back there, that he hung my bag up and I must have done it. The owner then walked away to start helping another customer. I would give them zero stars except that the lady at the register was very polite during this exchange. Despite its proximity to work, I will not be going back to this cleaners. I wish I had read the other reviews before coming here. The stress is not worth it. When I arrived today, they could not locate the dress initially. It is a very bright, yellow-green dress and I saw it hanging pants-style behind another garmet and pointed it out. The employee picked it up and went to the office where she consulted with "Al" who represented himself as the owner. Al comes out and says there is an issue with cleaning the dress, as it has faux jewelry sewn into it. I explained that I had pointed this out when I dropped it off and that the tag inside the dress says to "spot clean" only. I showed him the tag. Then, he mentions a snag on the front of the dress. A snag?!?! This dress did NOT have a snag when I dropped it off 2 days ago! I know this because it was on a hanger after my daughter wore it and I also inspected it at the counter when I dropped it off to be cleaned. I even looked over the faux jewelry on the dress and specifically asked the employee if it would be a problem. She had said it would not be. The employee that I dropped the dress off with happened to be present and said she noticed the snag after I left. Okay, then why didn't someone CALL me?!?! Why am I being told about it when I arrive to pick it up? It is my belief that the employee folded the dress over itself prior to tagging it and the fabric caught on the faux jewelry. Al stood by the idea that the snag was there when I dropped it off. He then offered to "fix" it. Basically, he pulled the snagged thread through the back of the dress and tied a knot. Now, there is a pull line in the dress that has a hole in the center of it. He then went on to tell me that the dress could not be spot cleaned and would need to be hand-washed. We have been taking our clothes here for about four years now, and I am surprised to see such a negative review. I am not affiliated with Deluxe Dry Cleaners in any way, shape or form, but my four years of service from them has been consistently good. I was very sorry to read that Amanda K. didn't receive the same level of service - and I'm honestly surprised at the BBB F rating. Recently I, too, took my formal dress to be cleaned (it's that season.) It was a full-length silken gown that she had worn to one of her proms and wanted to use for the A&M Military Ball. Unfortunately, she hadn't taken very good care of it - it ended up on the floor of her closet where the cat sneezed all over it. A lot. Super yuck. It also had some sort of lipid stain right on the rump, and the gauze-like panels in the front of the skirt had ripped at the seam. My daughter dropped it off and asked them if they could restore the dress back to its original state. Surprisingly, they agreed to try. (Had it been me, I probably would have told her, "Look, lady, I'm a dry cleaner, not a magician.") Since my daughter goes to school out of town, I went to pick it up. On examination, I could still see two or three stains, very faint, but still there. The rip that my daughter requested fixed had been repaired but there was another that my daughter had apparently missed. Al came out while I was examining the dress and took a look at it with me, unsolicited. He offered - again, unsolicited - to run it through a second time to see if we couldn't get the last of those stains out, and of course, to have the seamstress fix the second tear. A few days later I went to pick up the gown. I couldn't believe what they had been able to do with it. They were able to remove all but one stain, and that one was so faint that it wasn't noticeable. The tears were also fixed and the gown was almost as good as new. My daughter was able to wear the gown to the ball, thereby saving us, her parents, from having to fork out for another dress. Well worth the money it took to have it fixed. Gowns are not our usual drop-offs, though - work clothing and sports shirts make up the majority of our cleaning. In four years, we've never had an article of clothing lost, the customer service has been exceptional, and we've only had one button broken. I've dinged them a star because while their service and product has been consistently good, it's not what I would classify as stellar. Although to be honest, I'm not sure what I would classify as stellar dry cleaning. But they do what I pay them to do, they're always friendly and very accommodating of special requests. My four years of experience with them is in direct contrast to the BBB rating, so I have no hesitations about continuing to use them, and I will still recommend them to others. read more

I have been coming here since 2008 and quality of the service has really gone down. I decided to come here because I heard good reviews about this place and the quality of the service was good. I was shocked to also see an "F" rating from the BBB on this location, however, I am beginning to see how true it is. They REUSE the chemicals to cut down on cost and the owner is a very mean person. The owner does not honor coupons even if they are not expired. I have a blue express bag and I always have my coupon there when I drop off my items, well the lady at the front did not give me my discount so when I picked my pants up I had to pay full price. I spoke to the owner and he said I would have to wait for the other associate that took my clothes in the morning and verify with her. My discount was only a $1, however, its the principle! I am a regular there and I was so offended that the owner wouldn't do anything for his loyal customer! I am absolutely flabbergasted that the owner Al admonished me over a clothing item that was destroyed in the cleaning process. Instead of saying I leaned into battery acid or nail polish remover and made the holes dead center on this year old silk blouse, had he said I'm sorry this happened can I compensate you for your loss. It's not the money...it's the garment. Instead he basically threw $35 @ me and said he didnt owe me anything and only because my husband has been a good customer is he giving me anything. I was never told how much my total was, but was handed a stack of receipts that ranges from $18-25. When I went back to pick up my clothes I was charged $90 for 8 pairs of pants and 2 shirts. On top of that they lost my pants. Oh! And they didn't even press my pants correctly. They claimed there wasn't ever a crease down the middle even though I've never worn my slacks without a crease. This is probably the absolute best cleaners I have ever been to in my life! In three years I've only returned two items for a re-do and it was because they creased my pants and I didn't want one. They simply did them again and apologized without incident. After Harvey hit Houston my husband took 55 shirts and 4 slacks to be cleaned!! I could not believe the cost! I have been going to this location for 8 years and have always been treated with friendly service when dropping off and picking up clothing. Recently they did a fantastic job cleaning a purse which had been stolen and recovered in a sewer 4 days later. Al got the sewer smell out of the inside fabric and buffed the outside of the patent leather to its previous state. Thank you for restoring this item so I can use it once again! They have always been able to remove the reasonable stains that my three boys as well as my husband and I get on our clothes ( people, no dry cleaner is a magician!) For that I am very thankful and will continue going to this location! read more

Way way way OVERPRICED and I will never go there again or refer them to anyone! I recently moved to the area and took 25 items to Deluxe Dry Cleaners. After a few days I went to go pick them up. The patron in front of me paid $40 for 15 items. I thought that was a little high but within reason. When the girl brought my 25 items, I could not believe they were charging me $110.09! That is $4.40 an item!! I asked the girl why the women in front of me was only $40 for 15 items. She said that she probably paid for the membership where they get 25% off. I'm furious now because no one ever told me about a membership. Why is a new customer paying twice the cost of everyone else? I guess they don't need or want any new clients. You wouldn't think a dry cleaner could mess things up unless they lost or damaged your clothing. However, I have never seen such rude people. They do not greet you or even speak to you unless you are a frequent customer. I know because I was completely ignored, and somebody walked in while I was there, and you would have thought the obviously frequent client was the second coming of Christ. The worse customer service experience and the owner (Al - miserable man) is absolutely non accommodating. He was confident about measurements he took to alter my custom dress, and when I went to pick up the finished it did not fit. It was extremely loose fitting and when he came from the back his immediate response was that it looked fine. I contested that it did not fit and he snapped back that it would be more work! Well what the hell, are you not in the business to do work if it wasn't properly done? Never did he or his associate apologize for the inconvenience, but instead told me to take the dress as is. I asked for the seamstress who worked on the dress and was told they have no idea when she reports to work. Piss poor customer service!
