Annie was AMAZING!! Last minute trip for me, so I had to find a nail salon quick. They were able to get me in right away and Annie did a BEAUTIFUL job, with the added bonus of her being super cute and personable. There was nobody waiting when I got my pedicure done, and yet the lady was rushing. She cut me multiple times and I was even bleeding. Didn't say anything about it until I asked her (you can see it easily- right big toe, there's a big gash in my cuticle). The paint job is poor in general too. There is paint on my cuticles and yet missing spots on my nail where paint should be. She also cut them way too short and they aren't even (they were supposed to be square). The woman was nice so I didn't say anything in the shop but that was the worst and most uncomfortable pedicure I've ever gotten. Waste of time and money. Do not go here unless you like pain and a sloppy paint job. read more

This place is okay. It's not really anything special. It's nice if you want to go somewhere last minute and get a cheap set of nails done, but I don't know how everyone else's nails look so nice or at least passable. I got a full set of acrylic nails with gel polish. The acrylic is bumpy and lumpy, and the shape is the most awkward shape I've ever seen. I said I wanted square with slightly rounded corners. She CUT THE CORNERS of the acrylic to get the shape. The tech cut my cuticles pretty badly actually. It felt bad later that night after everything was settled. Looking at them now, they just feel awkward thick in some places. They're just not smooth. I'm going to go somewhere else next time. read more

Ok, so seriously, this place was fantastic! After a day of wedding dress shopping with a friend, our group of 10 made a stop here. We had reservations for a mixture of manicures and pedicures. They got us right in, and went to work. The pedicures were amazing. I think we all needed a relaxing day and this place totally helped. You could tell that our group was overwhelming, but the staff accommodated us. We were all talking and hollering at each other and talking about how beautiful our friend looked in the wedding dresses. They let us be and enjoy ourselves. It was exactly what we needed. The lady that did my pedicure was obviously very new at it. I'm INSANELY ticklish. Like, I promised her I wouldn't kick her in the face (lies, I can't truly control that....) and every once in a while she had to stop to let me giggle and calm the heck down. It was seriously funny and luckily she was a great sport. For an extra $10 you can get a basic manicure when you get a pedi. I wanted one, so at one point when a different lady was done doing a pedi on someone else, she started in on my finger nails. Such a wonderful mani! As I write this, my mani is 5 days old and looks like it's 2 days later. I'm impressed! read more

I came for a fill and my sister a full set. The customer service was amazing! The gentleman at the front greeting customers and answering phones was the nicest! Truly one of the best pedicures I have ever had!!! And only $35 for the "Spa Pedi" - what a steal! It lasted well over an hour and was filled with massaging, scrubbing, paraffin waxing, more massaging..... ahhhhh, I am longing to go back and pamper my tootsies again already! My girlfriend and I went intending to have a mani/pedi prior to her birthday party, and figured 90 minutes would be plenty of time for both. We were actually in West End when we decided to go, and went all the way down to Bloomington - she had been there before and remembered it being amazing. Oh, was she spot on in that memory! It was pretty quiet for a Saturday (always a struggle to decide whether or not to share my fantastic finds for fear they get too busy and can't fit me in anymore... anyone else?) so they sat us down right away and got to it. I immediately noticed that all of the tools were in the same sterile packaging that we use in the OR, which was a comforting feeling. Are they actually sterilized or is it just for show? Can't tell, but my feet are fine so I will go with the former. Gosh, what all did they do?! A soak, a ton of cuticle care, nail trim and file, more cuticle care, scrub with the pumice, then a sugar scrub up to my knees, then lotion, hot towel wrap, paraffin wax, more lotion.... and only then, once my legs and feet felt like a baby's bottom, did they start on the polish. Which turned out beautifully, by the way, but at that point, having beautiful toes was only secondary to how fabulously pampered my gams felt. The polish hit every corner of my nail, and since they did such a great job on my cuticles, the polish doesn't look grown out at all and it has been a week! Not a chip to be had, either :) By the time they were finished, 75 minutes of our allotted 90 were gone, and we sadly did not have time for the manicure. I did, however, notice a woman getting her nails done and, at the same time, getting what appeared to be a phenomenal shoulder and neck massage from another staff member. Next time, I will plan for a couple of hours..... and I Can. Not. Wait. The two women who took care of us were super sweet and pleasant, only occasionally making conversation with each other. Mostly they simply focused on us, asking polite questions and making just enough small talk to be attentive without detracting from the relaxation. Overall decor and ambience was clean and bright, with music playing in the background at just the right volume (Abba, love it!!). Seriously, the only downside of our whole experience was that they don't accept my treasured AmEx.... yes, I am stretching to find something that wasn't perfect. I won't be entrusting my little piggies to anyone else going forward. Deluxe, son! read more

Plus, 80's elevator music on in the background soothed the senses. I'll admit that the pedicure was more expensive than what I am used to ($28 compared to $20), but it was worth it. read more

A great experience! I got a disastrous mani from Nail Trixx at MOA a few weeks ago (my first manicure in years) so I was pretty nervous about getting another. I read tons of reviews on nail salons in the Twin Cities and this place lived up to its high rating! The shop was clean, quiet and inviting. The staff was friendly, and they didn't constantly try and upsell. My manicurist was very efficient but also meticulous and made sure everything looked clean and smooth. I got acrylics and they don't even look like fake nails! The pricing is also really reasonable- $35 to remove my previous acrylics and then do a fresh set of acrylics with gel polish. I'm very satisfied and would definitely recommend coming here! read more

I have been to this salon before - about a year ago. I went recently after making an appointment for a gel removal and pedicure. However, when I got there (even earlier than I expected), I still had to wait almost 20 minutes...and it wasn't busy. Although the shop is clean, I did not get the welcome feeling that I get at other salons. I was very disappointed and I feel that they charged alot for the service I received. I don't think I will go back. There are other nails salons in the area that will treat a customer nicer than they did. Somehow I felt that it had changed in a year. More like 3 1/2 stars!!! Under 30 min for a regular french manicure $20. I saw Nan, if your out of time and need a quick manicure.. I suggest coming here. I am very pleased with my nails! I went in with a certain shape & design in mind and I am very particular about my manicures. I had to wait until thirty minutes after my scheduled appointment but I did not mind waiting they are a small business. They are meticulous my manicure took an hour and half. The woman was very nice she talked with me but she didn't over talk. She made sure my nails were what I wanted and I think they turned out better than the nails in the picture that I went in with! I had a great experience. They did my nails just the way I liked them and it was the first place I went to where they didn't cut my fingers. The nail polish was even and neat. The only downside was as he was taking off my previous color (dark purple) he kinda made a mess under my nails and didn't take it off. Not a big deal though. the absolute worst service 'ever!' so we had an appointment at 3:30pm (our 1st time here. 3 people )we get there ten minutes before. we were greeted aright away which was great asked if we wanted anything to drink, please pick a color. we were there for mani's and pedi's well guess what we didn't get into the hair until 4:15 ish by now i'm starting to get annoyed. i don't say anything i just keep my smile on my face. once the techs got to us they all were rushing. mine cut me three! times! i was upset.now i move to the table where i was going to get my fill. i had glitter on my index finger and ring fingers. the tech says we have to dip those in acetone. i was like okayyy. i was confused why but ok. well them my nails were coming off so she had to replace them with new ones. when she did they were cricked. also the powder was thick. (really bad!)she starts and again cuts my skin two times. so now on to the color i wanted. it was beautiful fall red. she starts then the gel kept bubbling and spotty. she attempted three times by now its almost 6 and i had to rush home to head back out for dinner with friends. she says to me its that color you pick. but she said it in a way of making me feel like it was my fault. i say ok. what do you want to do? she says "change color" so she changed it now we're back to the same problem. this time she painted my skin. yes! you read that correct my skin.(see pix) also mind you she charged me for the four replaced nails and for changing the color..49 dollars later and i am not happy with the service. by now its 6:53pm come on! so we leave. the more and more i looked at my nails i decided to go back the next day. so when i walk in she says how can i help you? i ask her to please come to the desk so i can talk to her. i am trying to keep it from embarrassing her by saying it out loud.the shop is full and strangers are staring at me. so she then said have a seat ill be with you in a bit. 20 minutes later she comes up and i show her said she ok. ill fix for you. now im in the chair. she kept doing the same crap she was doing the night before. at this point its two and half hours later. i wanted to cry. she then starts to make comments about the nails she forgot she put on me. i laugh and say those are the ones you put on. she was like oh. didn't say anything else. now shes getting frustrated. i asked her if there was anyone else that can step in and fix them she looks at me with anger in her eyes and said "no! i fix" i say well its been more then 2 hours i cant sit here all day. she starts to say to me that she's helping me and shes calling my honey. i ask her to please stop calling my honey and to stop saying shes helping me bc its not! its a service. well now its 3:45pm ish and another tech comes out and she's there is a fire in the back room. my tech must be the manager or something bc she ran to the back. which was true. she tells me i cant finish today honey you come back. i tell her i cant come back. i don't live in the area so she said ok. gift card. i tell her no!! i want my money back. she rolls her eyes and slams the cash in my hand. i tell her shes rude. i reminded her that i was going to write a detailed review. she said you do that..i was shocked at how she was talking to me. worst service! worst customer service! kinda pricey for the value. well helen i wish you well. if you hate ur job so much change it! life is too short to be in a line of work that you hate. read more

The former owners have moved to Farmington! Needless to say, it is a different nail salon now. I've moved on....

This used to be one of our favorite mani/pedi places but once again the nail spa has a new owner and new techs and has drastically gone down hill. I had to tell the nail tech multiple times to stop filing my gel polish off, that it comes right off if she would let the acetone sit for a few minutes with the foils on the fingers, even then she did know how to properly hold a file let alone file a nail without sanding it down the skin, and got upset when I told her to stop it was burning my skin. Even after a 90 minute manicure of stress the polish cracked off the next day, lifted off the corners and was just a mess. Not happy paying full price for an untrained tech that had an attitude and worst gel manicure ever. The old place was better. read more
