Started having problems with…read morethe washer, first showing a code on the screen and then wouldn't add water before it just up and stopped. I unplugged the unit and called Lowe's because the machine was now 14 months old. With some trouble, I managed to get a hold of the Lowe's service department. I had to physically go to Lowe's and was told by customer service that they couldn't help me. Then I went back to the Appliance Department, and the salesgirl made a call, and it was discovered that Lowe's had my OLD e-mail address, and that was why they couldn't find my PAID WARRANTY. She then sent me a link, and I filed a claim. It said they were in Jacksonville. A long way to come for a service call. However, I then received a call from the Ocala repair service stating they would be out. I had selected 8 am - 12 noon ( Morning service ), but the service tech showed up at 4:45 PM because he also had a service call across the street. ( 2 birds and one stone? ) He came in, plugged my washer back in, pushed all the top buttons several times, and said it would now wash. I said What about the soap dispenser and he told me just add the soap manually. Paying all this money and then extra for a 5-year warranty, I called the repair office, but they told me my ticket had been closed out already. So I gave the washer code on the screen to the girl again, and she said she would have a service tech come back out. I tried to tell her, if the Service Engine light comes on in your car, do you just ignore it or get it fixed? So this time, a different repair guy came out, on time ( 9 am ) from a different company. Came in ( SAW THE CODE ). Said the soap dispenser appears to be broken and shouldn't be sticking out that much. Said he would order me a new dispenser and would call when the part comes in. That was 2 weeks ago, and no word as of yet. Yesterday, at the bottom of the washer after I removed my clean clothes, I found a 3" (inch) spring and two nickel-sized plastic circles with openings. ( Picture Below ). So once I get the soap dispenser and the code stops coming up, then perhaps we will figure out where the parts go. Truth be told, the washer no longer goes out of balance or walks away from the wall. Maybe we don't need those parts?

She told me to either call the manufacturer or bring it in. I told her I wanted to return it and she said okay, just bring it in. So I did. Was drilled by staff on who I talked to, what time etc etc. they wouldn't have said that. Tameka, a sales associate laughed and pointed to the return policy sign, saying you couldn't see that?? I have a cheap made golf cart that I'm stuck with. Any business that doesn't stand by their products has a low review rating. So it was no surprise to me to see their 2.2 rating.

Since they only accept cash or check, we had little leverage to get a refund. Essentially, this is a very "old school" man working with a younger technician who actually does the work. George S. can be gruff, grumpy, forgetful and can't be bothered with this new-fangled "customer service" stuff. We will no longer work with vendors who do not accept debit or credit cards. Needless to say, I had to throw literally hundreds and hundreds of dollars in food away. I know the garbage guys were not happy with me for the past couple of weeks... It was no fault of theirs, but their distributors that caused the slight hold-up in parts to arrive. Don came back out and although my husband was here to keep our dog from licking him to death, the work was completely finished in a very fast and efficient manner! Seemed almost in no time at all, my husband texted me that the fridge/freezer was all fixed and to give it about 24 hours to cool down before we moved anything into it. I waited 2 more days. While the freezer was now working like better than brand new, the fridge didn't seem to cool at all. I figured I'd turn it up a little and see if that made any difference. Still nothing. I called them back and reported the problem. Don called me just a few minutes later and I explained what was going on. He already had a pretty good idea about what the problem might be, but by then, he couldn't get back out until the following Monday. No problem, since I had nothing to put in it anymore now. I thought there might've been an additional service fee or something for him to make the second trip out to put in the ordered parts, but no! I only paid the small amount charged initially. He said it was all covered! Monday came around and Don called me to say what had happened was moisture got into where the fan was, that circulated the cold air up into the fridge from the freezer and kind of messed the plug up. He (instead of making me wait a lot more time for something brand new that I guess was unnecessary) went ahead and straight wired it in so it wouldn't have that problem ever again. I felt sure there would be another service change or something, but again no! I said, don't I owe you SOMETHING for making yet a third trip out to my house??? He insisted it was all included and just fine. Wow. Not only did he do an EXCEPTIONAL job saving our expensive refrigerator from being replaced and us spending an outrageous amount of money, but he's earned a BEYOND SATISFIED and happy customer for LIFE! So Monday came....1:00 came.....I allowed a couple of hours since perhaps they were busy on a Monday. I called the office at 3:00 asking for an update. Seconds after hanging up I received a call from the person who was supposed to come check our washer and he stated he was out of town on a "family emergency" and could come on Thursday. I'm confused about how someone has an emergency yet doesn't bother to inform paying customers that they have an appointment with that they're unable to come, and I had to call and ask what was going on and why they weren't here. I didn't realize it's my job to chase people around. This is very poor business practice and they should probably change their name from "Same Day" to "Eventually, maybe" Appliance Repair.
