I called the office thinking I needed a service call. The young lady that answered the phone looked up my info, asked me what issue I was having, and gave me a couple of things to try before they sent out a tech. Lo and behold, what she suggested solved my problem. I can't give this place high enough ratings, everyone I've ever dealt from VFP has been super nice. I am a repeat customer and was told there was nothing else that could be offered to me. I Paid for a full inspection 2023 or 2024 and the year before had an inspection as well. I was told it's not needed every year unless there are problems. But their policy now is of such if they touch my insert, even removing the glass to hit a reset button for the remote they would have to do a full inspection. So total Cost would be close to $600.00 when all that is needed is a remote. I did find a company to Come and handle the remote only but I would have rather stayed with Fireplace Tech. Disappointed

After reviewing the damage, Marvin indicated that it could be rebuilt and upgraded. After securing all necessary parts, Marvin and his associate completely rebuilt and upgraded the fireplace. It is important to note that gas fireplace components and starter assemblies have been much improved in the last three decades. I highly recommend FTS for service, repair and upgrades. Sam was great to speak with and he answered all of my questions and gave me what I thought was a reasonable quote (given all the increased taxes and tariffs due to the Trump administration ripping off Americans!!) and scheduled time for them to come and install a new gas insert. The installers were quick and professional and did a good job installing the new gas insert, everything looks great and the fire is warm. :)

He was prompt, fairly priced, extremely knowledgable, and overall a very likable guy. Also he is very clean when he works. I have heard horror stories of other chimney sweeps that have left soot all over the house. Also, he didn't try and upsell me on anything and included ordinary maintenance in the cost of the sweep. I know for sure any big company would have tried to piecemeal the work so they could charge more. I cannot recommend O'Toole's Chimney Sweep enough! It's nice to see small companies doing good, honest, and ethical business while everyone else seems to be trying to extract every last penny out of you.

CF's tech, Will Nuezca, showed up right on time and within minutes had us up, running and with a clean unit that looks and runs like new. As an added benefit, Will took a chatty but professional approach to his task explaining what he was doing and why as he went along. Worth every nickel we spent.

Although I scheduled the appointment, I had to work so my husband greeted Anthony when he got to our home. While I was at work, my husband was sending me text messages about Anthony, how much he liked him, how professional, articulate and smart he was. My husband is not a subject matter expert when it comes to fireplaces or chimneys, however he is a retired engineer, and has a strong family history of working with and for multiple companies and people directly involved in "the trades." Because of this, everything that Anthony went over with my husband, was on point. Anthony and the company he represents, has integrity. This is another quality we don't get from businesses or companies today. Everything went as promised by the person that scheduled my appointment. We had a full report by the time Anthony left with pictures and costs for each item that was suggested. Anthony also strongly encouraged us to not use our fireplace! We love fires, but continued use, in the current state of the fireplace, could pose a safety risk. Most people wouldn't want to pay the cost for the inspection, but it was worth every single penny to us! Our home was built in 1947, and has probably not had many if any repairs at all. Note to the owner: I am sure you treat your team wonderfully well, but please continue to do so. Staff members like Anthony are difficult to find. I've been managing healthcare operations for most of my career and people like Anthony, not necessarily fireplace technicians, but in the workforce as a whole, are few and far between when it comes to representatives of your company.

Those that did show up gave estimates that either didn't include some of the work that I needed or were just too much. One estimate was so much that we didn't get past the front yard! Then I met Frank Hernandez from Hats Off Landscaping. My Neighbor and I were impressed with Frank and believed his estimates were reasonable. We hired his company. We had sod installed in our shared front lawn. In my front yard, the stump of a tree was removed and a new tree was planted (to the delight of the HOA, I'm sure!) I had a flower bed installed in my backyard from fence to fence. My backyard flooded every time it rained because roots from every surrounding tree took over my drainage system. When other landscapers told me that they would have to break through existing concrete, and charge thousands more than I could afford, Frank took the time to work through the issues and present me with a workable solution that was within my budget. I'm no longer worried about the foundation of my home being overrun with water. I can look outside my window and be proud of my backyard and I no longer feel like I have the worst yard on my block. Frank and his crew worked 10 to 12 hour days so they would not leave the project they began each day undone. The result of their hard work is worth the time and frustration it took to finally find them. The quality of their work is above par! Rafa, You sir, are an Angel! Thank you for your kindness and for treating my home just as well as I believe you treat your own. Maybe just call or text and say, "I'm super busy but you're still on my radar!" Or something to that effect. I still need to get the work done and I even let you know that it wasn't a big rush so I'm not being impatient, just expected to at least have a follow-up. I work a whole bunch too...but I do try to make room for follow-ups for sure.

And I was told that a tech that use to work for them said that if somebody's thermostat is Not working they were taught to not tell the Customer about the easy fix and try to up sell them on more expensive fix even though they will just fix the easy fix. 4/5: Took 3 visits for the technicians to figure out what was wrong with HVAC…read more Juan came out first and thought it was the thermostat, I didn't think so because the code that keeps lighting up on my HVAC was 26, from the blinker light message which is the burner unit. Before the technician came out, I did tell Air Tech scheduler that I have to leave by 1130am that day for work and technician came around 9am. Anyway, when I got home from work, the heater didn't turn on because thermostat was set to a specific temperature and inside the house was at least 4-5 degrees colder. Over the weekend, I left a message and I think it was Kim who called back. 2nd Technician came out and it was Nathan. He had to leave and problem wasn't solved and he ran out of time and had to come back again which he needed authorization for so I don't have to keep paying for the same visit when the problem wasn't solved. 3rd Visit: Nathan figured it out and solved it. It did took them 3 visits which was almost 6 hours of my time with approx. 2hrs each time. I'm just glad Air Tech's technicians figured it out finally and didn't go with the MOST Expensive solution for the client first. I tried a different company before Air Tech and they definitely went with a more expensive solution to my HVAC problem. Overall, I'm still pleased with Juan and Nathan that they were able to solve my HVAC problem of why the heater wasn't turning on. I waited 2 weeks before giving a review to make sure my HVAC is working fine, which it is and that's what mattered most to me. The technicians were great! Knowledgeable and both Juan and Nathan didn't mind answer ALL my questions on HVAC and taught me few tips. I gave 4 out 5 because it took them 3times.
