Daniel's Concrete did a phenonmenal job with my backyard. Backstory: Trying to find someone on yelp that does concrete work was difficult for me. The first guy, scheduled an appointment for an estimate, but flaked and he did not return any of my phone calls. The second guy came out, did an estimate, but never emailed the estimate. The third guy came out, gave me a "too good to be true" estimate and when I asked some follow up questions, he ignored me. Fourth guy only did pavers, but he was willing to give me an esitmate despite knowing I was looking for concrete. Martin from the Paver Company was awesome. Very professional, but unfortunately, the estimate was out of my price range. I initially was hesitant to reach out to Daniel's Concrete because he is based out of Sac. When I called him, he stated he could come out to Vallejo area. He came out quickly, got me an estimate and started work the following week. He gave me a very fair price to complete my whole backyard. He stated the work would be complete in 2 to 3 days, but he actually ended up completing the work in ONE DAY!!! Usually you see a company or business with 5 stars and think oh these must be fake reviews.... Not the case I've seen concrete jobs before but nothing like this. Daniel and Omarion plus the crew were fast, efficient and experienced. Watching them demo the slab with such technique and teamwork reassured me I picked the right company. I had no idea they would transform my front yard in a matter of only two days (8hr/days) like I was shocked. (I will update slab size and gravel driveway because pictures just don't do it justice they are huge The first day we planned for just the driveway and by the end we added the gravel driveway, grading of entire front and curbs. We basically doubled the work and I was expecting it would take additional days but not the case and no they didn't just slap it together. You can really tell they are experts and all work together which allows them to accomplish the impossible. Daniel also thought in the futures when he regraded and said that both neighbors grass would wash onto the new concrete. An over site I wouldn't have even thought of but would be mad I didn't get the first rain. Truly exceptional work and thought and attention to detail. The second day they poured slab and curbs, graded future lawn, gravel driveway with drainage and cleaned. I'm ecstatic this was a long time coming. I'm thoroughly impressed and pleased with everything. My parents were shocked when they finished and said wow that's a professional job better than the guys we hired. Overall Daniel, Omarion and crew I can't thank you enough for your hard work and honesty. Of course I had other quotes and it wasn't just the cost that sold me but attention to detail and I felt like he wasn't trying to just shoot a number out because I wouldn't know the difference. A guy said he was the best in Stockton yet he wasn't even close in price to the other bids he shot it out of the water and I'm not going to lie it made me feel like he was trying to screw me. Daniel and his crew are very professional. I called and he missed my call but immediately called me back as a missed call. I had also texted him by then and he saw my pictures. He quoted me over the phone and in the same week he penciled me in to do the job. It was a smaller job additional concrete by our drive way but I had called someone else and they were 5 weeks out and had texted over a month later and never called me back. I had seen Daniel's reviews and pictures and they were right! Called Tuesday, he came out Wednesday to actually see what we needed and by Thursday morning they were very punctual, started the work immediately taking out the old broken concrete setup and pouring within hours. Daniel and his crew did a fantastic job on our house, we did a complete concrete do over with a new back patio(with existing overhang) wrapping around the house with new/extended driveway and a front stairway. It was huge job 28 yards. They always kept the job clean, had great communication and assisted us in our design, we had an idea for our front stairs (see picture) but it wouldn't work with our grading/elevations, Daniel redesigned it with our original idea and a few of his own and it came out amazing, we even had a change of design the day before the pour and it was taken care of no problem (6 stars for that alone) All in all concrete can be costly and stressful for a home owner, never once did we feel that everything wasn't under control. In July 2023, Daniel personally returned my call quickly and met me on time at my rental to give me an estimate. He basically stepped it off and asked me a few questions about my requests and came up with a verbal quote on the spot. He was lower than the other estimate I got and I had a good feeling so I hired him for a large patio and long walkway on the side of the house. His crew which is mostly family, came out on time as he said and started planing with a standing skid loader, and framed and rebarred and finished in one day. Great, very experienced crew who've all been doing concrete for 15+ years and definitely knew what they were doing. They had to dismantle my new fence to access the area and had to cut the bottom of the gate so it would open and not hit the patio. They put everything back together OK and did a good job cleaning up the area and completed the pour early before it got too hot. I didn't give them 5 stars because they had to cut the top of a sewer cap to fit the new lid flush to the walk way and didn't finish repairing the sewer so I did it myself. Also, more thorough instructions on keeping new concrete wet for a couple weeks should have been given. I did the research myself about pouring concrete in hot weather and how you need to keep it wet so it doesn't set too fast. 6 months later it still looks great. read more
