Went for my cough on friday, saw a PA and Dr. Pate aswell. Advised the PA that I wanted to see a physician and she immediately took Dr. Pate to the room. Bedside was great, she educated me with my current allergies and was advised to do an allergy testing to see my specific allergies. I will go and see her again to get my testing. Wait time is average, as soon as you came in, the check in process with the pad was cool and modern. Office was clean and updated, though bathroom needs to be checked if tissues and paper towels are available. Overall had a good doctors visit. read more

Mixed review: Dr. Pate is wonderful. She is a good listener and problem-solver. Unfortunately, since my first new patient visit, I have had 2 appointments but have not had the privilege of actually getting to see the doctor. I have only been seen by her Nurse Practitioner. And while her NP is nice and seems capable, I am there to see Dr. P, not the NP. It's too bad because it seems I'm not going to get to see Dr. Pate again. Maybe I can pay half the co-pay, then? Too bad I'm going to have to find a new doctor, I really liked Dr. Pate :-( read more

I went to Medical Offices of Manhattan and visited Dr. Kapoor who was great, I was due for a physical and decided to visit Dr. Pate for her availability. First...I received my lab test through Lab Finder quickly and still didn't hear from her for over 2 days!! Their front office claimed that she only reviews hard copies and they don't review electronic lab tests. Very interesting - didn't have that problem with Dr. Kappor. Then it was only after I called profusely did she immediately call me back. Typically, the doctor will call you and discuss results. She told me I was absolutely fine, but because of my high cholesterol, she suggested I visit a cardiologist, and then rushed me off the phone. After visiting the cardiologist, I realized there was absolutely NO need for me to go. The cardiologist himself was confused why I was there, and i was charged for so many UNNECESSARY FOLLOW UP TESTS and then he gave me another referral to another doctor for cholesterol medication. When in reality, Dr. Pate could have prescribed me medication before even referring to a cardiologist, and the cardiologist clearly didn't care either. AVOID MEDICAL OFFICES OF MANHATTAN AT ALL COSTS. They claim to care about customer care but in fact, they're just looking for ways to make money and take as much from both YOU and YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY. read more

I am a returning patient and was able to get scheduled in their new location to get check for possible allergies and my experience couldnt have been better! I was immediately checked in since i was able to give my info at home, I barely got comfy on my chair and I was getting called in! It was better than when i got checked in before and pretty techie being able to do it on my phone! I got a very pleasant visit and my inquiries were accomodated nicely. I had a lot of questions becaise I never had allergies but the PA and Dr. Pate provided enough answers and instructions after my test. The staff also need mentioning are real sweet and professional from checking in to checking out. It was a really great return visit! read more

Dr. Pate herself is fine, and the office is okay. There is definitely a tendency for her office to push for unnecessary exams, but that seems to be the case with most doctors anyway. My two star rating is on the basis that she is far too busy (or disorganized?). Appointments are very difficult to get (aside from my first appointment, all appointments have had to be scheduled several months in advance), and if I'm lucky and get one scheduled, I usually end up spending 2-3 hours waiting. read more

Dr. Pate is awesome and my wife and I have been seeing her since we moved to Manhattan. She is very genuine and an overall great doctor.

AVOID MEDICAL OFFICES OF MANHATTAN- Unless you like getting billed for unnecessary tests!!!! I visited Dr. Pate last year for a physical. Dr. Pate seemed nice and met with me for about 5 minutes. Thankfully I have no medical issues and was very clear in telling Dr. Pate that I only want tests run that are covered by my insurance under a yearly physical visit. I ended up with a bill from the lab for over $200 of tests that were not preventative; therefore not covered by insurance. I have contacted the Dr office and the lab numerous times by phone and email, as to why over 21 tests were run. Months later after being bounced back and forth between the lab and the Dr. Pate's office I have received a letter from the collection agency. I Wish I had looked up the Yelp reviews before making the mistake of visiting her practice!! Just to confirm that there is some sort of scam or just lack of attention at this practice; When I visited a new primary Dr. this week and showed her the tests that were run, my new Dr. was surprised and asked why did they do this test or that test- this is without me mentioning anything about what has been going on! I really liked Dr. Pate, but I had to find another doctor. Her office called the day before my physical to tell me that she was no longer seeing patients. I asked when she might be seeing patients, and they had no idea. But I could see her NP - which was crap - so I left. 1 1/2 years later, the office called to confirm my appointment for the day after Christmas. I knew that was BS because 1. Who makes check-up appointments 18 months in advance, after an appointment they never went to? and 2. I'm never in the city at Christmas. Boo. read more

Wonderful Doctor's office. Very clean, friendly, and technologically advanced (i.e. ipad check in!). Dr. Pate and her PA Carolina were both GREAT. They were so nice and helpful. I was in and out in under 30 mins. Really refreshing! read more

Horrible. and horrible center. I made an 8:30 appt this morning and woke up early because i was in pain when i got there the receptionist told me that she is booked and has no appts for today. I notified her i have a confirmation email and took off work and after 10 mins of waitng she said that i would have to wait another hour and be seen at 930. I ws upset and told her that my appt is at 830 and i want to be seen right away and she told me sorry its not possible and let me leave the office even though i was in pain. This is the most unorganized place i have ever been to with no compassion for anyone. Stay away read more

Last Tuesday I visited the Medical Offices of Manhattan for a new patient visit with Dr. Denise Pate. I have to say all my anxiety about getting a checkup was put to rest as soon as I walked in the front door. The office looks very modern, clean and welcoming with plenty of places to sit comfortably. Everyone one of their office staff was wearing a smile and seemed eager to assist me in filling out all the new patient forms. They have a really nice orange Phresia tablet you can take back to your seat and easily get all your information uploaded into their system. Within 5 minutes of finishing my paperwork I was being called into the back rooms for my appointment. All of the staff that assisted in taking readings and giving tests were very friendly and social, making the time fly by. Dr. Pate asked me tons of questions and I got the feeling she really wanted to understand what my current state of health was and what we could improve on. She also gave the best tetanus shot on the planet!:) I literally asked her if she was joking when she warned me "this is going to hurt!"..it was that good. I genuinely felt taken care of there which was exactly what I am looking for in a primary care physician. Top notch medical office in my opinion with excellent staff and doctors! read more
