Took in a chandelier for rewiring. During the waiting period , the tip of a chandelier arm was broken by "someone who never admitted to it, " as was told to us by an employer. A crystal could now not be hung. . They replaced the tip with something that looked like the original but inverted, so no crystal could be hung from it. We have sent 2 letters in an effort to come to a resolution and there has been zero response. Very disappointed that no one has had the decency to communicate with us. read more

The customer service here was awful, Gary was quite rude. When I called on the phone they made me wait for at least ten-fifteen minutes. And when I came in and was at the parts counter, Gary was very awful with his customer service. read more

We recently needed to replace a foyer chandelier. We went to Denney's ( as we've done for all of our lighting needs) because we know they have a great selection to see and numerous catalogs to peruse. But most of all they have Maria Everett. Maria is the nicest, kindest and most conscientious sales person I have dealt with. And she knows her products and how they operate. Denney is one of the few electric supply businesses that has Saturday hours. One can find most anything from electrical devices to chandeliers. They offer great counter service and sell lighting fixtures that cannot be found in big box stores. This business grew from this one location and now has several in Bucks, Montgomery, Chester and Berks Counties among them. read more

Ordered 3 light fixtures (2 sconces and a flush mount). Took over 2 weeks for fixtures to arrive. They called and said fixtures were ready. We arrive about an hour after the call, and upfront they have trouble locating the order in their system. Then after waiting 40 minutes in store, they let us know that one of the fixtures can not be located in the warehouse. They then tell us that one of the fixtures is being used as the display fixture and ask if we want to take it. If not, it would be an additional delay for the new fixture to be ordered and delivered. Very slow customer service that didn't seem to have a grasp on the system. Will not be returning. read more

Service was quick and helpful when we came in looking for a replacement for some unique bulbs at home. The space itself is very roomy and there are multiple different areas for different lighting needs. The area on the left is primarily for decorative lighting, while the space on the right is for more specialty lighting. I will say that the store looks a bit outdated, though I guess that is to be expected as a mom and pop lighting shop in the suburbs. Street parking is available outside and the store is identifiable by a large yellow sign outside. read more

I had a very specific need -- a 31" ceiling fan with light kit, no frills -- and did not have an easy time. They said it would take about a week to come in. I scheduled an electrician for the week after that. I called to check on the fan's status and it was over a week late. They never called to tell me. Also, the light kit didn't fit the fan even though the factory spec said it should. This meant another 2-3 weeks to order a new one. I realize things happen, but their sales person didn't seem phased at this and didn't seem to care that it was taking over a month to rectify this. Prices were too high and customer service was lax. 2 stars because the fan itself is a good one...once I was able to enjoy it. Not going back. read more

She is a super star that I wish I could find for every sales person I encounter. Katie is very KNOWLEDGEABLE, SWEET, TOTALLY OUT TO ACCOMMODATE, CARES THAT YOU GET LIGHTING THAT WILL MAKE YOU HAPPY AND NO PRESSURE AT ALL. The showroom and books we went thru in order to finalize a selection was due to her listening! I bought a set of lamps for my formal living room. Lamps came packaged in box so I had to put together myself. One of the shades had glue on it so I called and spoke to woman on phone and was told she would order me a new shade. When I went to pick up shade, she gave me a shade on display. Rather than make a fuss, I took the display shade. However, that shade had a different color to it from being on display. I then called and asked if they could order me a "new" shade. Woman kept telling me that she had the same lamps in her bedroom and had no problem. What does that have to do with my lamps???????? I had to keep calling to see if my shade was in, no one from store called me. And I got an attitude from woman when I picked it up and was told to go downstairs to get it. What kind of customer service is that? Anyway new lampshade had a bubble in the seami which I've now been living with for over a year, because I was made to feel uncomfortable if I complained again.
