We've been visiting Blue Rock for over 30 years! Last year they came under new management and…read moredemanded we prepay our greens fees and cart fees upfront for our large group where in years past every guy just went in and paid day of. This year we spoke on the phone and asked if we could just prepay for the greens fees and the guys taking carts could pay for carts when they came to play. Well they went ahead and charged both to our credit card and I had to go back around and collect another $27 from each player! Not that it's difficult but it's just annoying when you agree to something and they don't follow through. Also for the price they are charging on the weekends it is not worth the money. They are charging $93 for 18 with cart! It's only a par 3 course! A very nice and well maintained par 3; probably my favorite of all time. Once shot a +2 there! I love that course! However! It's not worth $93! You can play Bass River which is a full course for $100 with a cart! Blue Rock was a great course but the new management is price gouging and taking advantage of the golfers that made them what they are today! It's very frustrating because I love playing there! Until the price drops and new management comes in I would recommend the hundreds of other courses on the cape!

Staff was amazing and extremely accommodating. And the price couldn't be beat. Fun spot for some family activity. Batting cages were awesome. Would have hit the driving range too, but fam would probably be steamed if dad split from the party to go hit golf balls. Another time I guess.

(in the middle of when you are swinging) I genuinely thought this was supposed to be a place where people could come to learn and practice golf -- not a place where they would be criticized or embarrassed for how they swing. I am currently in the middle of a significant chronic inflammatory medical flare-up, and simply being out in public right now is already difficult for me. Unfortunately, the way I was treated caused me significant emotional distress and actually made my physical symptoms worse. What disappointed me perhaps more than anything was the lack of basic empathy and understanding. I have a visible medical condition, and right now, participating in normal activities takes significantly more effort for me than anyone looking at me may realize. Sometimes that means sitting in my car applying medication to my skin just so I can comfortably participate in something as simple as going golfing. I don't expect special treatment because of that. I simply expect to be treated with patience, dignity, and basic human kindness. I genuinely believed that most businesses -- particularly a place where people are supposed to be learning and practicing -- would understand that you never really know what somebody walking through the door may be dealing with. Instead of feeling welcomed and given a little grace, I felt rushed, criticized, and embarrassed. Personally, I have never felt the need to write a review before today. (neither good, nor bad..) However, I was not only disappointed by what happened, but genuinely shocked by the experience, which is why I felt it was important to share my experience. People should be able to go somewhere to practice and learn golf without worrying that the owner is going to criticize or make fun of their golf swing. A little patience and empathy can go a very long way, especially when you have no idea what someone else may already be going through. Unfortunately, because this experience caused me considerable distress and negatively affected an active health flare, this business has officially lost me as a customer. We have been regular customers during the summers and have spent a significant amount of money there purchasing large buckets of golf balls -- something the business itself has even commented on because of how frequently we purchased them. Going forward, that business will simply be going elsewhere. I would much rather spend my money at a place where customers are treated with respect, patience, and kindness. it's a pretty basic expectation.
