Seems like Dr. Hum's practice has shut down. Neither the phone or website are in working order.

He prescribed me insoles for the plantar fasciatis - which literally worked miracles in a few days. It was so bad that I could barely walk when I got up. I probably should have gone in for the ingrown nails years ago, but it got to the point I couldn't stand to put on shoes, so I finally went. We did one foot at a time, which was a good idea - the first one was pretty painful, but the second went smoother. The numbing shots weren't fun, but he distracted me by chatting with me, and he was quick and efficient. In my four visits we had some interesting conversations. What sticks out to me is that in one he said he doesn't wear a white coat because he feels that it puts a barrier between him and his patient. I recommend him as a doctor, but he also has an amazing bedside manner. I felt like an individual - not just a patient. He really cared about me and my outcome.

He's clear in his explanations of what's going on and projected next steps. He explains things in laments terms so you really understand the situation. The office setting is clean and neat and the office staff sends helpful text reminders a few days before your appt as a courtesy with the address included. This foot doctor is much further from my house than other foot doctors, but I travel to him cause of his expertise and expectational service. I highly recommend! I'm happy I found an experienced and caring foot doctor!

Dr. Robinson talked directly to my son, and gave him instructions in a manner that was clear that he cared about reaching him on his level and vocabulary, and not that he was talking down to him. Upon listening to my narrative, he told me confidently that he could solve my son's problems, and spoiler alert he did! In probably 10 minutes or less, Dr. Robinson was able to diagnose what were the problems my son was having (flat feet, tight arches and feet that had outgrown his shoes). He was able to find for us orthotics in his office that fit him, which is great because we didn't have to go through the time and expense of having customized molds made. My son and I are now at home, he has new orthotics, and his new shoes in the correct size. I am so happy to report that my son is now walking regularly and comfortably. I highly recommend this office especially if you are a parent bringing in a child as a patient!

The appointment and the X-Ray process were so smooth. The Los Gatos staff were extremely nice and friendly. They have X-Ray and ultrasonic equipment on-site, which is a great convenience. I was tolerating a severe pain and swollen ankle the entire night, with overthinking such as "Would my bone be fractured? Would I never go back to gym?""Would I need to lay on a bed for 1-3 months?" After X-Ray and ultrasonic, as well as Dr.Chen performed pressure check on different points, he thoroughly explained and educated me about the situation: it is an organic sprain. All bones, joints and ligament are perfectly fine. Dr.Chen showed me and suggested me to record how to use KT tape. No prescriptions, no more exams, but good suggestions on which exercises would help the recovery as well as certain shoes to wear during the period. Thank you so much for having me in such a professional, accessible and friendly place!

If you are considering making an appointment here, please read on before doing so: I was experiencing quite a bit of pain from my ankle due to inflammation coming from a bone spur. I called a few places before this clinic, but as expected, no one could see me right away, as their schedules were already booked for at least a few days. When I called this place, they said they could see me right away (perhaps that isn't a good sign). But due to the pain, and because there seemed to be quite a lot of positive reviews here, I decided to visit the clinic. After a very hasty evaluation, Dr. Guan had very quickly concluded that I needed surgery to repair the problem, claiming that I needed to remove the bone spur and repair a torn ligament. He urged me to do book the surgery ASAP, within a few days, because he didn't want things to get worse. He scared me enough to go ahead and move forward with booking the pre-surgery consultation. I went home that day obviously very disappointed by the news, but after speaking with my wife and some friends, they had all advised me to seek a second opinion. I also looked into taking care of the inflammation myself for the time being, using ice and voltaren (something that Dr. Guan never even mentioned or suggested). After two days of just simple at-home treatment for the inflammation, the swelling went way down, and the pain began to dissipate. After about a week, my foot was back to normal, and I had no pain at all, and resumed all of my usual activities (running, jump roping, etc). I did go in for a second opinion at another clinic, and this doctor was much more thorough with his evaluation, much more kind and patient, and his conclusion was drastically different. He explained that there was no need for surgery at all, and moreover, the determination to have surgery to repair a torn ligament should be made after at least taking an MRI, which Dr. Guan didn't do. In addition, he performed a number of mobility and strength tests to evaluate this ligament in question, and let me know that I wouldn't be able to pass certain tests if the ligament was indeed torn. Finally, I showed him a picture of the ultrasound that Dr. Guan took, and he explained to me that there was no evidence of a ligament tear. There are a number of reviews here that label this clinic as a "money trap" and that is highly accurate. Dr. Guan prioritizes making money over the care of his patients, and it seems that he may even do this at the cost of his patients well being (I would have been a victim to this, had I proceeded with the surgery). I am leaving two stars instead of one because his receptionist/front desk is very friendly and helpful. But if the review was for "Dr." Guan alone, I would give negative stars if I could. I hope this review will help prevent future mis-diagnoses and shady practices from occurring in the future at this clinic.

She also mentioned she needs to numb the toe with an Injection! She proceeded to apply some cold liquid - and Than within a second - STABBED my toe with a injection !!! my foot was lose on the table - It Felt like the NEEDLE went thru the toe - My foot hit her hand -. I asked for someone to hold my foot down - No APPOLOGY - No SYMPATHY - her assistant came in held my Toe and again - that injection was trusted into my toe in ONE ATTEMPT. No gentle penetration , slow adding numbing prior.none she cut into the toe sides. - applied ointment and a dressing - I needed it on the second toe . I knew Ill never submit myself to her again ! BAD JUDGMENT - i SHOULD HAVE WALKED OUT !. The second foot was the one with the mild problem . Oh well , that night after consuming 5000 mg of Tylenol - I had no relief - the pain was excruciating. Throbbing and Painful. The following days I soaked it several times a day in Epson salt and warm water - It was OOzing Pass - I called the office, gave the secretary to the massage - however NO RESPONSE _ NO FOLLOWUP PHONE CALL . The infection was still present. I had a follow up appointment after two weeks almost three. - to check the results. I needed to change the date due to a conflict of dates- and was offered another Provider Michelle Cummins - Yes she confirmed there is still pass , and still infected infectious present .She poked with an instrument lifted from the table ( i did not see disinfection bath) and she confirmed that the Dr, Tavaf left a corner of the nail in which is causing the pain and the infection. And she scheduled an appointment to take the remaining nail out. Assuring me that she would numb the toe in stages and in a very gentle process. For this FOLLOWUP procedure I was charged - $ 150 .- I called the office spoke ti the secretary explained that this was part of the first treatment and she said shell take it off and speak to the DR, Its been few weeks the bill is back in my email - I just paid it- I don't want to have to deal with a collection agency . IN CONCLUSION - INEFFICIENT FROM THE ANSWERING SERVICE - AND THIS IS AN OLD OFFICE - NONE OF THE INSTRUMENTS ON THE TABLES ARE IN A SEALED PACKAGE - INDICATING PROPER STERILIZATION. BEEN CHARGED TWICE - ONCE FOR THE PROCEDURE - AND THAN THE CHECKUP FOLLOW UP - ROBBERY. I DON'T THINK FOR ANY OF THEIR INSURED PATIENTS THEY GET PAID $ 400 . FOR A 2 INGROWN TOWS. - AND GIFTING THE PATIENT WITH AN INFECTION THAT LASTED FEW WEEKS - BE AWARE CHOSE AN PROVIDER THAT WILL EXPLAIN WELL AND BE GENTLE AND PROFESSIONAL. SKIP THIS PRACTICE
