So grateful that I found the Vivo Specialty Infusion Center in Syosset. Still not sure why my…read moredoctor's office had no knowledge of this facility and wanted me to get meds in an outpatient hospital setting It took a lot of research on my part to find an independent center that accepted my insurance but it was ultimately worth it. From the first phone call they were responsive and knowledgeable. I always received updates in a timely fashion. The nurses and other staff were all very professional and kind. They made a stressful situation much more relaxed because of their care and expertise. I felt very well taken care of knowing they were right there monitoring everything the whole time. If you or anyone you know is looking for the best facility in Nassau County to go to for any kind of infusion treatment don't hesitate to contact Vivo.

They are so nice, the nurses are excellent, and the entire staff is amazing. We got a private room, although I didn't ask for one (the regular room with multiple chairs was just as nice). They are very efficient and knowledgeable. They constantly asked if we needed anything or wanted a beverage or a snack. Halfway through the infusion, they asked me to make my next few appointments because I needed either a Saturday or Sunday. I am so happy that I found this place from a referral by my son's physician. My son used to go to the hospital for infusions, but the insurance wouldn't pay for a hospital setting, so we were scrambling around at the last minute to find a place that would take his insurance and administer the infusion. We went to Pt. Jefferson and they squeezed us in for our first visit. This was our second visit with the same "company," but the Syosset location is much closer to our house. I am thrilled with both locations and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for an outside infusion center.

Anyway again as I'm now prone to getting calcium deposits, they have a technical name but I just call them that lol. I started with one in my right elbow, then 2 in my left elbow, doing an MRI after the 2nd time since that's the time to do an MRI after it pops up twice in the same spot. Anyway it's more common in the shoulder and I joked that'll be next. Skip ahead months later and bam shoulder is killing me. I get a massage, still pain, realized it was probably one of those pesky little deposits and ran over here. I was seen right away, and got a nice shot after confirming yup calcium deposit. I will probably end up getting an MRI in the future just to check as I did with my elbow but it's nice for the time being to be out of pain and able to enjoy my weekend. Getting a shot is not fun btw, it gave me a nice anxiety spike the next day and some anger mixed with my wacky hormones lol. But at least I can sleep peacefully and able to use my arm so hey I'll deal with it. I was in and out. I came here hoping for right away care, a solution and I got it. Much better experience this time around, compared to saying hey go somewhere else right before the holidays knowing I wouldn't get in anywhere that quickly years ago. So now I'd recommend this place or maybe the dr this time was just better and since I haven't had any injuries I most likely have no real actual damage to omg need an MRI. It's just a common thing that happens to happen to me lol. Some are prone to these things and I'm sure they'll pop up again one day. I'm hoping I never need a shot again or need to come here at least for a few years. I'll for sure be sending anyone I know to come here if anyone I know gets hurt. I'd highly recommend if you need a walk in place. I mean most specialty doctors can't even see you for weeks so it's nice we even have a place like this.

After visiting another GI doctor that only partially examined me, she had me do lactose and gluten tolerance tests. Lactose intolerance was very high. That's one problem solved! Since I gave up all dairy, I'm feeling so much better. Now, I need to fix my ulcerative colitis or IBS problem. I trust Dr. Layne will find the right answers!

When I made the amount, the medical assistant on the phone told me that when I arrive for the appt., park the car, stay in the car and call the office so they know you have arrived & have your phone number. The medical assistant called back after 10 minutes and told me that I could go to the office. There were 3 chairs outside Dr. Layne's office. The chairs were socially distance from one another. The assistant came out of the office & told me to sign in & then she took my temperature which was 98.6. I return to my chair. The wait was about 20 minutes and I was called to go into the examination room followed by Dr. Layne. She wrote down the required information that I gave her. I was weighed & examined by the doctor. She told me that I had irritable bowl syndrome & that I was to keep a 6 week dairy of everything that I ate. She told me the food & beverages that I could not eat or drink. Dr. Layne sent me up to the Northwell Labs for blood work. I was relieved that I finally had taken action & I was in the hands of Dr. Layne who was calm and I definitely feel that both she and I will put an end to my misery.
