He took the time to sit with me, listen to me, and got to know me. He is very thorough with all his exams, even goes that extra mile "just in case." Most doctors don't take the time to listen. They are already thinking about the next patient. Not Dr. Mintz. You are his main priority when he is in the room. The office personnel are so helpful and caring, as well. If there is a problem with insurance or paperwork, they will take the time to walk you through on what to do. The nursing staff is well trained and there is never a problem with them taking blood or doing the pre-testing. I recommend this office to anyone that is looking for an internist. With a huge medical history and probably one of the thickest files in her office, she's taken care of all of my needs. And then even despite odds, monitored my high risk pregnancy to perfect conclusion years later. With frequent visits during my pregnancy, I ended up seeing many of the other Doctors in her office as well, Nodelman, Ventimiglia, and Levine whom even delivered my son. They are the best and allow nothing, but the best care. They make you feel like a part of their family and give you that extra special care. Even if they find you healthy in their area of specialty's, but not others outside the gyno world, they go above and beyond to find other specialized doctors to get you the help you need. They truly care, which is hard to find. They even find things outside of their realm that your primaries don't. I'd never go anywhere else.

Let me start by saying both Dr. Horlick and Dr. Carvallo are excellent, thorough doctors. During a routine scan Dr. Horlick found pre-cancerous cells I didn't even know I had that could have been big trouble down the line but are now no big deal. But this review is as much for the office staff as for the doctors. Both my wife and children have had dermatologists that even in an emergency it seems like you can't get into the office for two weeks. The first time I ever called the office (my father is a longtime patient and recommended Dr. Horlick) I was able to get an appointment for the same day for a rash I had, even though the had never seen me before. When I thought I was having an allergic reaction to the medication he saw me again, same day that I called. The office staff could not be more accommodating... the times when I've needed an emergency appointment they've accommodated me same day every single time. The doctors are great.
