They said they would call them to shut it down.. about 40 mins later I called back because it still didn't stop they said they'd get on it.. it is now 12:50am and they are still racing. thanks for the help sheriffs. I was met with skepticism and patronizing tones from both of the dispatchers I spoke to. They seemed disorganized and ineffective. They were unable or unwilling to find location information for my friend, and I was told "well, you could be a stalker." However, *I* wasn't asking for the location information, *I* was asking them to attempt to make contact to verify my friend was safe. I had to hang up, Google the information myself, and call back. How is this acceptable? Then, I had to call back the next day to get an update because nobody contacted me. The person on the morning shift was unable to tell me if my friend was contacted, if they were safe, or really anything useful at all. Instead, they told me that I would need to call back in 12 hours to speak to the dispatcher on the night shift for a status update from the previous night! I finally got in contact with my friend, almost three days later, and discovered that the police had never contacted her or even attempted a welfare check. She could have died or been kidnapped in that amount of time. This police department needs an overhaul in organization, at the least, and likely a long, hard look at their methods for protecting the public. I feel less safe knowing police departments are allowed to operate like this.

I called the Granville police department. The nicest officer came and helped me out. Got me into my car (when I could show him my ID and registration to prove the car was mine) and was just an all around helpful person. He told me that most departments won't help with a break in. Boy was I glad for the help. I live in Dublin so getting home for the spare key was a challenge. He made it that much easier! Cheers!

I have had to call on them from time to time at my home and they were great in following up. Also on Halloween night patrolling on foot is a great asset in keeping our neighborhood safe.. I also want to thank one officer who pumped my gas for me because I am handicap and had been waiting a while for an attendant. Now that is a True public servant. Thanks to the entire department for your service.
