The park is all gravel, which hasn't bothered Ozzie at all. I also like that it has one doubly fenced entrance. And of course poop bags are in abundance. The majority of dog owners I've met here pay very close attention to their dogs during play and most dogs are quite well behaved and play very nicely with each other. (Except for that one lady who brought her dog who clearly has guarding issues and would bark at all the other dogs anytime they came near the community tennis ball... that lady's dog.. not so nice at all). I only wish they had a doggie water fountain or some source of water nearby.

The service and staff here right off the bat are great. They're always friendly, clear in instruction and happy to explain how things work. In both of my (thus far) visits, via phone and in person they're very nice and that goes a long way. I assume all the staff here have pups of their own and it shows as when they're moving about the 'yard' they're nice and engaging with all the dogs. Dog Yard itself is nicely set up. Plenty of astroturf for dogs to run around, with drink stations and an allowance for them to relieve themselves anywhere. There are hoses, paper towels, bags etc. to clean up after your pup so you can quickly clean and let the play time continue. There are seats off to the side for pup parents to chill - high table, yard lounge and bench seating, some with overhangs or fire pits/heat lamps for if it's cold or rainy. Did I say cold or rainy? Ask one of the attendants and they'll give you a blanket so you can enjoy the yard and keep warm! My only snag here is that it seems this place more for groups of friends or for people who are otherwise already acquainted. This is no fault of Dog Yard, but in both my visits, specifically breed meetups, no one is social despite me trying to strike up conversation about the mutual draw here - our dogs. What's the point of paying to come here if you're gonna do what you can do at any free dog park -- stand there looking at your phone or a book? Maybe it's me. Regardless. Dog Yard is a great place for drinks and dog fun.

I've been taking my dog here for about two years. On 12/13/2025 I brought my dog to the dog…read moreyard for the Shiba Inu meetup. We have come to these meetups before and have never had any issues. However this time after being at the dog yard for a little over an hour my dog was bit on her anus by a dog that had just come in. I saw this couple checking in with their shiba on a leash in which it lunged at my dog and another person's dog. Both dogs that were lunged at distanced themselves from this new aggressive dog. Once this couple had checked in they immediately let their dog off leash and within seconds it snuck up on my dog to bite her. She screamed and ran to hide rather than engage. I saw that she was bleeding and asked for a wet wipe so that I could disinfect and get a look at her injury. One of the workers gave me a wet towel and walked away. She also got blood on one of the couch cushions. We realized the extent of her injury and immediately left to get her to the emergency vet. The emergency vet saw her within less than 30 minutes waiting. My dog had to be sedated and given sutures, pain meds, and antibiotics. Throughout this experience I was calling the dog yard and the man on the line was kind and helpful in forwarding my information to the owners of the aggressive dog. However its been several days and the dog yard has been ignoring my emails asking for more information and also being passive aggressive over the phone. This place is no safer than taking your dog to a public off leash park. They refuse to give me the contact information of the owners. I'm out $960 and the people responsible have not contacted me. I've been provided no info on if they will be banned from the park or not. I felt as though this would be a safe space and that having a middleman would aid in the case of injuries. This has not been my experience. They have not assisted whatsoever in gathering evidence and they let in an aggressive dog that displayed harmful behavior in front of the employee checking them in. Dog bites are mandatory to report in Seattle so I will be seeking the help from animal control as well as SPD.

My bigger concern was safety for small dogs. During our visit, a larger dog chased one of my smaller dogs and began nipping at it. The beach itself has potential, but between the lack of cleanup and our negative experience with an uncontrolled dog, we won't be returning.

I've heard so much about the park from neighbors and finally decided to take the trip over to see what it was all about. When you arrive at Marymoor itself, you'll take the entry road in following signs, but you'll know you're in the right place when you see a dirt road. From here you park and walk over to the pay machine. This is where my qualms begin. Staying with the dirt road for a second, it's so dirty and dusty and cars are driving up and down it kicking up more dust. I'm not really cool with breathing that in, why is it not paved like the rest of the road? Secondly, $1 fee? As lame as that is, I guess the argument could be made that it's for benefit of the park, perhaps its funds to pave the area's leading to the park. The least they could do is update the machine. As of my visit, it's this rickety looking parking machine that looks like it's from 19xx and is sooo slow I wasn't even sure if it was working after I slide my card. Eventually after like 4 minutes of waiting, it slowly spit out a receipt for me to display in my car. Half the cars there didn't have this displayed in the window, so pay or don't at your risk I suppose. Beyond my complaints, the dog park really is amazing, more than enough for dogs to roam unleashed and properly tire out your pup. open fields, water for them to get wet in, paths and other areas where dogs can walk and sniff to their fullest. Due to my complaints I don't think I'll make frequent visits here, but once in a while, I know my pup and many others would enjoy a trip here.

The outdoor area is quite small compared to some other dog/people bars I've seen There are also a couple of indoor play areas. One is exclusively for boarding doggies, which, I did go to check out and was immediately mobbed by both large and small dogs. They were friendly but, I was quite overwhelmed and the staff helped me exit. Now I was told there was yet another indoor play area for visitors, but it was "not open". The owner lady did tell me she would open it for us, but never followed up and I thought her messaging about it was a little confusing. Other than that the basic bat area seemed nice, and we could see there were quite a few regulars there who knew each other as well as the dogs seemed to. Our little Boomer tried to make friends and was able to run around and play with some of the other dogs We did order some drinks, I enjoyed my draft beer but my wife did not like the one red wine they had which tasted a like a port that had been mixed with a red blend. Blech! So, now for the stars. As my Yelp friends know, I ALWAYS start with five and deduct from there. I will have to deduct a half star for the terrible red wine with no alternatives. We have 2 bigger dogs and it was our first time there, the community and staff was great with them…read more At first we were nervous because we have a Belgian mix as well as a boxer mix however everyone was really friendly, respectful, and very helpful. One thing we noticed was a couple of smaller dogs wanting to instigate, but the staff was very proactive on noticing the behaviors and acting on them. Our belgian is a newly added rescue family member of ours and is still adjusting, everyone we told that to completely understood. this is a great place for dog people.

This could be…read morea nice park, but nearly every day I walk by there's anywhere from a handful to a dozen dirtbags drinking beer and smoking, littering all over the park and throughout the neighborhood as they leave. Sometimes vagrants during the day, but mostly teenagers in the afternoon and evenings. Haven't found any needles yet, just beer cans and garbage. When I walk my dogs through they'll sometimes try to hide the beer, but when there's a big group they don't care. I walk through on my own to make them uncomfortable, but I wouldn't take my kids here under any circumstances. Police need to start patrolling this area.
