Independently-owned location right off the freeway in Burley, Idaho. Stopped by on our way back from Utah and decided to get a bite. Very well maintained with cute decorations and art showcasing the local history. My 5-stars go out to Britney, who was attentive and friendly. She was by herself today and running the whole show. There was a lunch crowd of locals, families and people stopping by just to take a rest. She took care of us, bussed tables and cashed us out. Our food was tasty, my burger and egg cooked as asked and my fries were crispy too! Wavy fries, my first time eating this style! And aptly so here in Burley, home to one of the biggest french fry producers in North America!! We'll add this as another stop whenever we pass through. read more

Where to begin? 15 minutes to be seated or even greeted. Half of the seating was closed and filthy dirty. The people in front of us even left because of the wait. Order wasn't taken for 30 minutes; no drinks, just ignored. Order was not written down, but done by memory (for a party of 5 .) Another long wait for the food. One order was incorrect; fixed it. Another order was incorrect, sent back only to be returned wrong yet again. Food quality very poor; bread not toasted, hash browns cold. No drink refills at all. Water was never even brought to the table. Seats were torn. The check was not brought. The 2 servers were arguing with a busboy about money left on a table. He was arguing that it should be shared with him. I had to interrupt the argument just to get a check. No management or oversight of the whole process; this is a poorly run restaurant all the way around. Seriously, do not waste your money. read more

Thought we'd give Denny's another chance. Our mistake. Ordered drinks when we got there. Didn't get them till after we got our meal. Ordered a breakfast that came with toast. Never got my toast. The waitress never checked back and I wasn't able to get her attention. Finally got the hostess's attention and mentioned it. By then I was done with my meal. What's the point? No refills in coffee or soda. Definitely won't go back. Brag about how they are under new management- give us a try. We did. You failed yet again. I got boiled water with the essence of coffee. Sad excuse of a coffee. The iced coffee was just as bad. It smells like sewer inside. Couldn't tell if I was at Dennys or if I had walked into a retirement home. The men's urinal is backed up. The men's bathroom also smells like mold. Speaking of mold, the toast I got had mold on it. Went to go there today pulled into a parking lot with practically no vehicles. Walked in stood there for 10-15 mins at front with no assistance then after looking around and finding server was told that it was a 20 minute wait to be seated. Looked around there was only 2 tables with people eating one side of the restaurant not even being used... stopped going here years ago cuz the service was getting horrible decided to give it a try will not go back.. would be better to just shut location down and get something that has better service... read more

Giving it 2 stars for our waitress/Hostess/ everything (she did a good job), we kind of had a feeling after looking at reviews on Yelp & Google, we wanted a sit down dinner and was wanting breakfast and Dennys being a 24/7 restaurant had always had a decent breakfast. Like we said, the girl who was acting as a hostess/server did a good job, but whoever was cooking they obviously don't care about how the food looks or comes out, the bacon wasn't even cooked all the way, and then my boy's birthday pancake look like somebody smeared some sort of cream all over the top of it. The presentation of the food was just blah, and my wife's hashbrowns weren't even cooked all the way. And our one boy had mac & cheese, and that wasn't even very tasty very dry, now we see why this place doesn't have very good ratings. We were the only ones in there and that Should've been our tall tail sign. You can find better than this, very sad that Denny's has gone downhill. read more

May 1, 2025 4pm-ish. Almost no one there. Waitress was also the receptionist. Nice lady, forgot to get her name. Wife and I both had the salmon, hers with corn and salad, mine with red potatoes and salad. My goodness, that salmon was seasoned so good, tasted great, mouth watering. I could have sat and made 2 or 3 more orders just for the fish but that would not have been good. Still had 100 miles to go to the hotel in Pocatello. This was day 7 of 19 on a 5000 mile road trip. So we are about 1200 miles into it and this was the best meal we have had so far. read more

We order, our waitress disappears, we watch people at other tables sending food back to the kitchen. Along with other customers, we wait and wait and wait. Our food comes out at different times, put on the table by someone obviously not wanting to work our table. The side dishes are wrong or missing. People are standing at the door, waiting to be seated, and no one is seating them. We finally get the heck out of there. The next day, I have food poisoning that lasts three days and ruins my vacation. I report what happened to the proper Idaho authorities. You have got to be kidding me about this place. read more

Food portions were minimal at best compared to past visits. The service was poor and the girls had air pods in their ears and were more concerned about talking than doing the service. And heaven forbid a person goes the bathroom without an employee walking in and watching a person. We definitely won't be going back at a sharp stab of $60 plus for breakfast. read more

Thought we would try it now again, against our better judgment. (We heard it was under new management.) Filthy dining area - debris on floor, no attempt to clean while we were there. Waiter possibly new - hard to understand - he kept busy, but not with customer service. He never even checked back with us once after the food was delivered. We had to call him over just to get the check. My food was prepared incorrectly but, as the server never returned, I had no option to have it corrected. Cinnamon roll pancakes were delicious. Wavy fries very good. Waited quite some time to pay at the counter, and employee was rude. No name tag. She did ask how things were, and I said, "Meh, ok I guess." No response, no conversation. The location we went to was later in the evening and was not busy at all. The manager or so called manager because I don't know how he got that job, acted like he didn't care and like he was just there to collect a paycheck. Dirty tables that he walked by continuously. Food sitting in the window forever! Our food came out one plate at a time every 3-5 minutes. Hash browns looked like had sat on the griddle all day, eggs looked less then edible. I ordered moons over my hammy and one side had literally a quarter sized piece of ham in it and the other side had one slice of ham. My mother ordered an omelet which she never received. When we complained to the waitress she went and got the manager. He never once said oh let me fix this for you or anything. He just made excuses that he went back to see if the cook needed help and he seemed fine, and that he would talk to the cook. Never offered to fix it or anything cause he could care less. We ended up leaving. That's four plates of food, four customers that were dissatisfied, and made our dinner even later having to go elsewhere. Good god, what in the world. I have been to hundreds if not thousands of Denny's and I do not appreciate the Burley location's mockery of this amazing establishment. Want your food? Only giving one star because I couldn't do less. First the waitress was clearly on something. And she felt that talking to her friends at the bar was more important then customers. We sat close to the kitchen and heard two cooks talking crap about customers. It really wasn't the best experience. I was with my mom and aunt. My mom got an omelet. It was supposed to have green peppers, mushrooms, and onions. It had tomatoes and cheese.? I got the fit slam, but I had asked for dry wheat toast. They didn't do that. It was corrected. The fruit was only melons. Not terrible, but not what I expected. My aunt got biscuits and gravy. The gravy was very sweet, she didn't care for it, but she ate it, maybe a personal preference deal. They did not refill coffee. Like we had to get someone to fill the coffee. I've given this place multiple benefits of the doubt but I've been disappointed every single time I've come to this place. My most recent visit was frustrating because our server seemed more interested in flirting with her coworker than tending to her responsibilities. We had to ask for drink refills multiple times even though she wasn't busy. The food wasn't good, either. Soggy, under-cooked French toast and pancakes, and the eggs were burnt. Then, while checking out, the young man (who seemed to be training our waitress) was telling her about how the lowest tip he got that day was $9. Not professional. The only good thing I can say about this visit was that the restaurant seemed clean (it hasn't always been when we've visited other times) and it was quiet. I'm on my way back from Puyallup, Washington and after hitting the road this morning I decided to stop for some convenience store coffee in beautiful Burley, Idaho. I'm going down the street looking for a gas station and I notice a Denny's. I'm currently on vacation and I'm headed back to Ohio. I haven't been in a Denny's in years and I have some very good memories from my teenage years of late nights, early mornings with their patty melts and french dips. I was helped and seated as soon as I walked in. They weren't incredibly busy, but I decided to sit at the counter anyway. The staff overall was very helpful, genuinely kind and pleasant, but not in a fake sort of way. The person who greeted me brought me coffee and water immediately. I checked the menu to see what had changed. The slams still looked delicious so I ordered an All American Slam. With onions, cheese, and country gravy on the potatoes, of course. The food was hot and delicious. Ordering the potatoes loaded is always the right choice as I found out. The eggs weren't runny, nor were they hard. The toast actually melted the butter on them. How can this be a bad thing? I spoke to Amber, the manager and complimented her on her staff and the restaurant. I'm giving them 5 stars and recommending you stop in. What a disgrace this place is. We came in with a group of 7 adults and 2 kids. The girl took our order and she messed it up. I brought it to her attention that my family member did not want gravy on his food. She didnt care much. Lets mentioned that at that time it took over 45 minutes to get some of it on the table. She didnt even appologize. Stared at us like an airhead. Well everyone got their food with something missing besides me. I did not get anything at that point. I usually don't write bad reviews but not the greatest Denny's I have been to. They lack customer service and the manager is incompetent. I found a hair in my food and our food took a long time for the amount of people that were there. I mean come on, when you see a lot of people and your food takes longer than usual of course you empathize but this wasn't the case. Please train better! However, at this Denny's you can usually spot the manager Michelle going above and beyond for every customer. She really is personable. I always leave knowing I've got a great friend even if I only ever see her there. read more
