The bathrooms have no stall doors and no lock. The door doesn't even close. My fiance had to guard the door because after a few bites of that weird salad bar (bad texture, dried out) I had no choice on the bathroom. read more

When we drove by both my husband and I remembered we had thought about stopping at The Snug on a previous trip but passed because on the outside it looked like a locals bar to us. Stopped in yesterday for lunch and had the sandwich with ham, bacon, and donkey sauce (forget the name right now) but it was BOMB! The fries were good too. Wow! Idaho native and have never been here before. The food was unbelievable. Had the French dip with last nights prime rib. Everything is home made. Our daughter ordered the chicken nuggets which were actually thick moist chicken tenders in a home made batter. The salad bar is the cleanest and most beautiful salad bar I've ever seen at a small restaurant. I mean everything is made from scratch. The service is exactly what you want. I would give this place 2 stars if the food wasn't unusually delicious. The Snug is not the place to go if you are looking for a classy dining experience, but I assume most people will already assume this given that the restaurant is located in Eden... However, if you are willing to endure less-than-ideal dining conditions (e.g. loud box fans in the summer because they have no A/C and space heaters in the winter), then you will be treated to some of the best prime rib I've ever had. Eden, Idaho. Population: probably fewer souls than were at your high school graduation. Main Street gets you from one side of town to the other in 3 minutes. Blink, and The Snug is in your rear view mirror. If you pass it, turn around & go back & don't, don't, judge by outward appearances. If "Diners, Drive-Ins, & Dives" is looking for a gem, The Snug fits the bill. I so love places like this! The diner, to one side, hosts American Legion meetings; if you are of age, through the door to the other side is the bar, with pool tables and colorful locals. But none of this counts for much unless the food is the equal to of atmosphere. Folks, prepare to be amazed! There is great pride in what The Snug serves up. They grow their own veggies and cut their own meat and bake their own pies and it makes what they serve up, special. Check out the salad bar... the freshest, best I've seen in awhile. I had a chicken fried steak with cream gravy and mashed 'taters (Idaho 'taters, BTW) and, being from the South, was in heaven to have found a place that knows how to make such, and make it right. I finished off the meal with a strawberry & rhubarb pie, as I said, made from their garden grown strawberries and rhubarbs, and it was incredible! If you happen to be anywhere near Eden, ID, say 100 miles or so, it's worth making it over and dining at The Snug. They put the Eden in Eden. read more

Not fancy but very homey and cosy. The brunch price of $15 is very reasonable. Service was slow as far as drink refills went, I had to go into the bar and get my daughter's lemonade refilled. Some of the salad items looked as if they'd been sitting too long but they weren't things I could eat anyway. Also I think since it had been a snowy Sunday morning they may have had fewer than normal customers that day so maybe that had something to do with it. But there were lot's of choices and I found plenty of Keto friendly options. My daughter enjoyed the large desert selection. I hear they are all made in house. I enjoyed the salad bar with an incredible bleu cheese dressing and the prime rib. Also some very delicious breakfast sausages. We hope to bring the rest of our family members some day. read more

A great place to go, especially when you need to meet someone about half way between Twin Falls and Mini-Cassia. It is by far the best bar food I have tried. Sandwiches, gourmet burgers, steak, salads, breakfast buffet on weekends, etc. Calling it bar food is like ranking a professional among amateurs however.
