We stopped by yesterday for lunch and we enjoyed it very much . I ordered the Seniors menu Country Fried Steak with the salad choice for 13.99. Great price for a lot of food . Husband had the build your own breakfast... since he loves pancakes on the side . I really enjoy their salads that go with meal . So fresh and many items in it ... almost a full meal itself ! The country fried steak was beef , almost like a veal cutlet and came with fresh broccoli and real mashed potatoes with the skin . No fake potatoe here . The side of garlic toast was hot and tasty . Our server was a very friendly girl named Jessi with excellent service . Kept our coffees filled and always checked to see if everything was good. TERRIBLE almost non existent service. They weren't busy, but non the less the service as for those who wanted to wait four hours on end to be served and then served the wrong meal. Food was not well cooked, and it was a not a good experience. They seem to think that everything is fine, and that the customer has all day to sit and wait. I would never dine at any Denny's again. They have gone down hill for the last couple of years, but this was ridiculous. 25% of the restaurant had customers. People that arrived long after we did, got served in que - first. It's like they could care less, just like the tip I left them suggested. Eat at home, it's faster and better and no attitude and you can put your $60 to better use! read more

I like dennys .it's comfortable big seating and big windows. But lately I've noticed a difference in the food portions. I ordered the American slam. The 2 sausages were good but that was it. The bacon was petrified wood from sitting around and the portion of hashbrowns was spread thin so it gave a illusion of a larger potion but it was very small. The eggs were ok.and toast was fine. But the problem is that for $18.50 you go away still hungry. Now that stacked pancakes has entered the calgary area I think dennys needs to adress this. The great thing about Denny's is breakfast all day so a couple of people had breakfast for supper. Others ordered form the 55+ which seemed to have a good selection. This Denny's is 24 hours and connected to the Sandman Hotel. I ate here a few times since I was staying at the hotel. The first time was for dinner and we arrived to find a handful of other customers. The server was decent and brought us our drinks promptly. We ordered our food and it took a little bit longer to come out that I expected for 9PM. I ordered the 'thanksgiving' dinner sandwich which comprised of turkey, stuffing, and cranberry sandwiched between 2 pieces of grilled bread. It was a bit greasy but I did like the combination. It was to come with gravy but I didn't get any nor did it need it. Based on this, I would rate it 3 stars. The next visit was for breakfast. If you're looking for a quick breakfast, you would be better off at one of the nearby fast food places. There were 2 servers for 7 tables or so but the service was slow. The one waitress didn't seem very friendly either. Since most of the meals are 'big breakfastes', I ordered one of the smaller meals that came with 2 pancakes, 2 sausages, eggs, and hashbrowns. The pancakes were ok but not as fluffy as I like. Everything else was too greasy, including the eggs. I ate half my meal but that was enough. Service here is very slow. The design inside is nice, but typical with many booths. We ordered 2 poached eggs, toast, and 3 pancakes. It took 30 minutes to arrive. Yikes. Our server was pleasant, in a robotic kind of way - the place was busy - but our server was slow , which was bizarre. The food was typical of Dennys which is predictably homey and comforting. They recently changed their pancake recipe and they are noticeably different - more vanilly and quite good. Dennys is always fun for the people watching element - it can sometimes feel like Walmart has exploded into a restaurant and voila, let the people watching begin. I like Dennys - but the service here was too slow - likely because it is the only restaurant of its kind in the motel village here - not my best choice on a Saturday morning-Ill choose another location for a Dennys experience. read more

I have eaten at a lot of dennys but this one was not the greatest experience... It took 15 minutes from the time we sat down to get our waters, about 25 minutes for the milkshake we ordered, about 50 minutes for the food to arrive. 1 person at our table had the nachos and they were old and soggy and the meat tastes so gross, I asked for the ultimate omelette with no meat and the server said "so just the veggie omelette" and I said sure but I don't want the zucchini or squash from the veggie omelette..when I received my omelette it had nothing but mushrooms and cheese... And he didn't bring the toast for at least 15 minutes after. I wouldn't go to this dennys again because there were so many screw ups and it wasn't even busy. read more

This is an awesome location right across from C.O.P. love to stop here for a quick bit before heading out to Banff. They alway have quick friendly service. Food is consistent with avert large selection that can pretty much satisfy the pickiest customer. I would rate the Menu a 4 star. But this is still fast food dinner type of Resturant. If you want value breakfast this is the place. They also have greasy items as well if you like fried stuff. read more

As i was in the need of a quick bite and for some reason craving some fries, I happened to see Denny's on my way. When I sat in, it was empty I think it was around 1:00 pm so i had to wait a few minutes until the waiter notice me and took my order. While i was waiting for my order I got free wi-fi access and was able to do some e-mail checking. The food was reasonable. Those cheese fries with bacon satisfied my appetite. Absolutely disgusting at the service here today! We were seated at 10:30 our food arrived at 11:26 after complaining about the time. Our milks came after we complained about them not coming....and getting attitude from a lady named Nancy who claimed she didn't work on this side so not her problem. We had to return one of them as it came in a DIRTY glass! Our food was hard from sitting under a heat lamp for God knows how long! No manager came, no waiter came to ask if everything was OK, no refills for drinks. This war the WORST experience ever! read more

The service was great on every visit bar one when the server got our order wrong and refused to change it. But i wont let one visit tarnish the place. Its a nice friendly environment and the staff have always been helpful and courteous. Food orders typically took around 20 minutes which for a steak i did not consider to bad considering the place is normally really busy. read more

if you are going for a special occasion do not bother there is a young waiter there who will screw up your order and then does not even care to try to fix it someone else came to our table meal was ruined my girlfriend and i couldn't even eat together because of his screw up if you get a younger guy taking your order make sure you ask him to repeat everything you order so he does not screw it up and have to go through what we went through. or just go somewhere else. read more

When me and my father arrived in the restaurant we were seated very quickly and received our drinks almost immediately, however after we ordered our food it all came out wrong. My fathers toast was burnt and mine wasn't even toasted, the bacon my bacon was hardly cooked and when I asked them to re-cook it they took my fathers bacon back too and burnt it as well as mine too, not to mention my father ordered an omelet and it came out after we got the bill, also I ordered some fries and there were hardly there were like 15 fries. The only good part of the meal was when they didn't charge us for it since they messed up so bad. I would definitely not recommend this restaurant and would suggest that you go to the nearest McDonald's and eat off of the bathroom floor, you would probably get the same service doing that. read more
