I ate here twice, once for dinner and then breakfast the next morning. I was seated quickly and my server was almost immediately there. On both occasions, my order arrived quickly and my food was warm and well cooked. Both of the servers I had were very professional and exceptionally nice. This Denny's is probably my favorite as it did not appear dated and it surprisingly was not busy when I sat down. Each of my servers, Tina and Jasmine, were by far the nicest I have encountered in a very long time. Both returned just enough to see if I needed anything else. Both took time to answer my questions and both made sure my visit was the best it could be. As I was checking out, Matthew was super awesome as well. Overall, everyone there was extremely nice and service like this can be hard to find these days. This will continue to be my go-to spot when I am traveling through. Very friendly and it was clean, unlike a few I have visited. If any of these three interact with you, there is no doubt your experience will be the same as mine. read more

We're gonna start at 2 stars, and see if they can climb out of this hole. Only reason for the 2nd star, is because my server is working his ass off. Typical Denny's decorum. Pretty clean, and it's pretty quiet tonight. I have eaten here probably 3 or 4 times. I typically get a sizzling skillet (we'll see if it actually is, because 1 out of every 10 Denny's actually does it right) and I don't eat carbs or starches, so I typically get extra broccoli in place of the spuds, and ACTUALLY started ordering it that way by recommendation of a waitress at a Denny's in the Pilot in Ohio. So, I order the "crazy spicy sizzling skillet". Sat here for about 10 minutes, and the server comes out to tell me that they have to CHARGE ME for extra broccoli, EVEN THOUGH IM NOT ORDERING THE POTATOES!?!? ARE YOU EFFIN SERIOUS!?!? And it's not the money, it's the principle. They don't have Louisiana Gold hot sauce either. I'll continue to add to this review after my food comes out. Maybe I'll shoot a vid showing this "sizzle", which I'm guessing by the lackluster cook in back nagging about a ¼ cup of extra broccoli, it won't be. Just like I suspected. This portion is also an INSULT. My "extra broccoli" that I got charged for, but didn't get any of? Well, they didn't leave the steamer bag in the microwave long enough because they're cold in the center. It's ok. I haven't had a hot meal in about 2 weeks. FLAT OUT SUCKS. I come to this Flying J a LOT, and I'm actually here for the weekend. This place would've got 3 more meals out of me during my stay, but, seriously, I will be picking the hot dog roller over this dump. NEVER. AGAIN. read more

Poor customer service. Waitresses 3 children running around, screaming and crying. One even went behind the register. Waitress didnt bring me my ticket had to ask another waitress to bring it out to me so I could pay. Food was mid. Will not be dining at this establishment ever again. I am very disappointed in the way I was treated by Lakota, the one that said she would be my server. Highly recommend staying away from this specific diner. Will not be treated properly if you have a server named Lakota. Be prepared to isten to children screaming and crying because they didnt get their way and not seeing any actions from their father, Lakotas husband, or from the mother, Lakota. Driving through and stopped to have a sit down meal. The waitress was very nice. She was keeping everything clean. Food was mediocre at best. Got the fried back. Ranch melt. Fried chicken was burnt and greasy, and the cook forgot the bacon. My partners brisket melt was great. So don't order fried chicken. It's what I get for trying something different.No excuse for the cooks issues cause there were 3 servers and only 5 tables with 1 person at each so a total of 6 customers. I got the veggie burger with onion rings and it was good! We live nearby and it is the only restaurant for 30 miles. Nice to have a place we can sit down and eat with real flatware and ceramic plates. If only It were possible to leave half a star. I'm huge in customer service and cleanliness of an establishment considering I started out in the industry cleaning and serving patrons of a restaurant. Came in with my family for a quick trip and quick meal only to stand at the register waiting for a seat. No initiative from the staff to seat us as they saw us walk in. No "good evening, we'll be right with you" nothing!! Sit down after what felt like a 19 minute wait only to have our waiter so impolite, appearing lazy and unwilling to work. Takes drink orders, forgets one simple drink. Brings back the drink he forgot and we waited 20 minutes for a simple cheeseburger and a sandwich and a child pancake meal. Never did he ask if we needed refills or anything. Brought out our ticket and started walking away when I had to ask for a drink refill. Brought out my drink with sides dripping of my soda. Only our table and another family were in the establishment but they were acting as though it was super busy and each table didn't require check ins. If it wasn't for the food. We wouldn't be coming back but service needs work and well, I wonder why this particular establishment cannot keep waitstaff consistently. Is it management or is it the staff? Let me tell you about this Dennys, the food the so juicy I got the wild alaskan salmon with fries and mashed potato I know that's weird but over all great! We all go to the comfort food places while traveling so that the food we will get is the same.... isn't that the point of going to a chain restaurant? This one is attached to a truck center - i find it weird that they were announcing available showers over the intercom, but I guess even truckers need to take a bath. I know Denny's is a chain and many people either love it or hate it. I had my years where I would not even eat at Denny's due to some bad experiences. A few years ago I gave them another try and I have found some great gluten free options with them. There are some really great cooks who make the food delicious. This particular restaurant we were at last night. The first comfort was they are practicing social distancing and abiding by mandates for masks and limited capacity. We had to wait to be seated and I was A ok with this. It was encouraging to my partner and myself. To know they were taking safety precautions. Service was good. The food was tasty. My partner ordered the creamy Parmesan chicken and it was delicious and so much food he had a takeout box (this almost never happens)! I had the bourbon chicken skillet without the bourbon glaze to keep it gluten free. They accommodated my request to sub the potatoes with zucchini and squash. Oh my goodness! My skillet came out sizzling and with an abundance of food. I ate every single bite! No doggie bag for me! Super impressed with this particular restaurant. Great stop with actually great tasting food. The service we had was very attentive and with a great attitude which is so hard to find these days. Very clean, in fact one of the cleanest Denny's I have seen. We stop here often and have tried several of theiir menu items. The only one I can not recommend is the steak, but everything else has been really very good. We do enjoy stopping here. read more

For the Gallup area the service and food was at most excellent. This review is for Saturday, August 9th at about 6:30 pm. As I was coming back from Albuquerque and had my truck bed loaded down, I wanted to stop at a restaurant were I could keep an eye on my cargo. As I experienced bad service from many Gallup corporate restaurants, I was very reluctant to eat at this establishment. When I entered, I noticed this place was clean. I decided to order a water with lemon and cucumber for starters. The waitress was very attentive and brought me my beverage with a smile. As I got into the menu, I wanted the fish and chips with a salad and dessert, which was a weekday special. I would have paid full price without the dessert, but immediately they gave me the special. The food was brought to me hot, plenty of napkins, sauces, and my beverage refilled frequently. The waitress frequently stopped by my table several times. As I was eating the manager came to my table and asked how the food tasted. I was shocked to see a manager at a corporate establishment in the Gallup area want to deal with customers. Usually they are hiding or sitting in their office. I reside in the Gallup area and with this excellent service and great food, I would have no problem driving the extra 17 miles to eat as this Denny's. I made sure the following week to call the corporate headquarters and give much praise to this establishment. Keep up the good work Jamestown Denny's and continue to make sure customer service is key. I am very satisfied with my experience and hope your good food and customer service will continue on my next visit. read more
