Staff is friendly and make you feel welcomed. I had to wait a little while for the food to arrive, but when it did oh my goodness was it worth the wait! The breakfast poutine and cinnamon roll pancakes were amazing! Not something to eat everyday, but defiantly perfect as a treat. The milkshakes are good too, very creamy and made with real ice cream! And you get a bit of extra on the side which is always a win in my book. The restaurant was clean and tidy and had a nice atmosphere, good place to just hang out with friends and get a good meal. read more

My birthday this year happens to land in the middle of the week, so I have decided to have my Grand Slam after work. i strolled in at around 7pm and was promptly seat by the waitress (who also happened to be my server). Service was speedy since the restaurant had perhaps 5 tables. Waitress/server was quick with my water and approachable in answering my questions about the menu. I was informed that I can use my Grand Slam credits toward other items on the menu. I'm watching what I eat these days, so I have chosen the grilled salmon with mashed potatoes and broccoli. I figured I'll pay the difference of $5 to be healthier. The order was placed at 7:13pm and arrived by 7:25pm. Unfortunately, the food was not as good as the service. The salmon was overcooked (very, very dry) and lacked flavour. The broccoli was over-salted, and the mashed potato was not fluffy, but crumbly. The dinner roll was oily. The plate looks quite sad as I expected more broccoli than that little smidgen of something. Another thing I didn't enjoy was the vacuuming that was happening while I was having a meal. Why are you kicking up all the dust in the air while I eat?! Overall, service was a 5 but minus 1 due to the vacuuming. Terrible service, my girlfriend and I had recently went to brunch at this location and noticed there were so many dirty tables as well as when they poured my coffee into a coffee mug I had noticed what it looked like to be dried egg or some kind of old food caked on the side of it so I checked the utensils and both my girlfriends and I's utensils had old food dried in between the tongs of the fork as well as the spoons, very disgusted by the lack of cleanliness. what is going on with the quality of food at Denny's in Kamloops? Went in for breakfast downtown, huge mistake. Right off the bat my coffee was lukewarm, took forever to get waitresses attention for her to Nuke it for me. Ordered eggs Benny, the sauce was clumpy, and I could taste that it had been burned. Disgusting aftertaste& gut rot. If the cook is too lazy to grill hash browns on the grill the way they should be, at least make sure the fryers turned up high, so the fat actually Cooks It, instead of just soaking into the potatoes. Disgusting then I was approached by a stranger at my table, if I smoked and if I could spend one. The service was speedy and lively, even at 10:30pm when I visited the joint. The place is clean, and I found myself gazing mouth-wateringly at every page of the menu. What can I say? It's a Denny's so it's pretty consistent with service and food with a hotel attached to it. My only complaint is that the staff seems to hang out there on their time/days off so the services gets distracted easily read more

Breakfast today was less than stellar; particularly after a near 36 hour fast for a medical procedure. I ordered the All-American Slam with shredded hash browns, whole wheat toast and coffee. I think Denny's has to have their sausages custom made to be that small; the two on my plate barely equalled one that a person would buy at the grocery store. The two strips of bacon were paper thin and cooked to death. The only saving grace of today's experience was the service. The wait hostess and wait staff were amazing; cheerful and on the ball. I seldom eat in restaurants, but since this place is close to the hospital and my stomach thought my throat had been cut, the option list was pretty short. Disappointing We went to the down town Denny's for breakfast. I pull my fork out of the napkin and started eating. After I was most of the way through my meal, I unroll the napkin that my fork came out of and the napkin was dirty. Also there was some trash in the napkin, the crinkled up top from a creamer. Service was horrendous. Waited an hour for food and it was barely warm. The blueberry pancakes were not the same as the ones had on the Lower Mainland it was like the took a different pancake batter (that had nutmeg in it) and just added the blueberries. Literally had 3 very small halved strawberries on top. Had a heck of a time getting a waitress to bring syrup to the table or a coffee refill. If you wanted a quick and delicious breakfast go elsewhere. When they asked how to was and we honestly told them, We just go the deer in headlights stare. Fair prices for what you get not dirt cheap yet not over priced 30-40$ for two it was 35 for the two of us so 45 with tip and the meals came under 15 minutes had coffee within minutes of sitting down and server was very nice and never had and empty cup and she noticed my eggs we're over cooked I ordered over easy and asked me right away if I'd like them remade I didn't have to point it out and ask and had them remade and on the table in 3 minutes so 4 stars for sure more then less based on great service good job Denny's read more
