I don't understand the negative reviews at this restaurant I have never had anything but amazing service at this location. After trying IHOP this morning and having a horrible experience, we went back to old reliable. We came in were seated immediately, had our drink orders taken within a few minutes, ordered our entrees shortly thereafter. The waitress was friendly and even brought grapes and a drink for the little one. Our food came out in a decent time and the service was great as always. Not a good experience. Unfortunately, I did not read other reviews before I stopped in. I went in at 6 AM, was the only customer in the place. Got seated and the waiter came, brought coffee and water. He took my order and that is basically where everything ended. He did refill me and check in on me, but my food order never came. After 30 minutes he talked to the cook, then mentioned it to the manager, who seemed not to be too concerned. After 45 minutes I figured nothing was going to happen as my order never showed up. Early Sunday breakfast with my son, few here on a Labor Day weekend. Our waitress was happy, pleasant, and old school south, full of sugars, honey's, and other pleasantries of my childhood upbringing. Our breakfast order arrived promptly and hot. My son ordered the Lumberjack Slam with a side of French toast, eggs scrambled and coffee. I had the French toast Slam with eggs scrambled, cheesed and bacon, coffee to drink. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and quiet. This is an older Denny's, updated, but a Sixties design, which is why I love it. Retro to my childhood, yeah baby, soil! Stopped for a late breakfast for me and brunch for my wife. She ordered a club sandwich. Our waitress returned to the table to inform her that they were out of avocado for her sandwich. Okay just make a regular BLT. Then she returned again to inform her they were out of mayonnaise. There are two convenience stores within walking distance-one is actually next door. This place is horrible we stood at the door for 10 mins and everyone was walking past and didn't greet us or seat us.. they weren't even busy top it off there was other people waiting as well and they didn't even act like we were there. The couple before us was waiting and got fed up and left. We tried waiting a little bit longer and decided to leave as we were leaving a couple behind us left with us. They need to work on costumer service. I would get it if they were slammed but they weren't so many tables were open. read more

Loved my breakfast this morning! Ultimate omelette with pumpkin pancakes! Oh my goodness, it was fantastic! Pancakes were huge with pecans, white chocolate chips and a maple syrup! Yummy! Our meal isn't finished and now 2 WHOLE FLIPPING HOURS have gone by and they can't seem to make (2) pancake meals within that time. Unbelievable. A friend of mine and I settled in after a long flight hoping for a great meal. I became excited when I saw a tropical coconut pancake item on the menu. I decided to plunge madly into a decadent carb dinner. We sat and waited for over forty minutes for our food. I made a joke that the cook had to go to a tropical island to shave my coconut. Our waitress tried pleading with the cook to speed it up. In his defense, the food hadn't been prepped before his shift but none of this was explained. Our waitress was good and the food, when it finally arrived was good. The cook shouted his apologies and I thought, all is well. I was disconcerted that nobody really acknowledged how long we'd waited. The cook shouted angrily towards us that it was on it's way. When the bill arrived, my friend saw that he had been charged for something the waitress had promised would not be on the bill. When he expressed his concern, she went to the manager. The manager stormed over to our table and said the waitress had got it wrong. We tried to explain that the waitress had assured us this would not be on the bill. He leaned angrily into my friends face and sneered at him. We explained that we were being fair and that we'd waited for over forty minutes for our food. The sad thing about this exchange, was none of our needs were taken into account. He created an environment of hostility over something which was less than a dollar. He didn't bend, he simply treated us like opponents in a war zone. We were meant to be defeated and not respected. This restaurant needs to realize that the customers are the backbone of their business. Without us, there's no paycheck. I had planned another meal at this restaurant but am no longer interested. In this economy, this gentleman needs to learn how to respond to a customer. I do not recommend eating at this restaurant. read more
