Took 1 hr to be seated, 20 minutes to take down our drinks & food etc another 20 minutes to bring out our drinks and coffees for them to taste like cooks got our whole order wrong they brought out whatever plate they pleased because they "accidentally made the wrong plate" for them to come back again and tell us they only had enough of what we originally had order for 3 ppl!!!! Insane ! On top of them messing up our whole order and taking forever we paid $77 for a plate of eggs and 3 sodas and 3 coffees Never again!!! read more

Stopped by Leyenda Coffee late at night and grabbed the Mazapán Lattê to go -- espresso with De La Rosa mazapán peanut candy and steamed milk. The flavor was unique, nutty, and lightly sweet (I got it less sweet) -- definitely something different from a regular latte. And how elegant is that black & gold to-go cup?! I wish I had time to sit because the space had a nice, cozy night-lounge vibe. Biggest win was that they were open late. Most coffee shops close early, and I was driving back to Dallas from Big Bend NP craving a legit latte -- pulled in around 10:41pm and they were still serving. The first time I went was a great experience ! Atmosphere was great on a Saturday morning brunch they usually have a dj. After that I went 3 times and each time the restaurant proved to be inconsistent, my roasted chicken was a breast while I see a review where the roasted chicken is a thigh? Next time I go I ordered triple berry French toast and get a thin piece of white bread with strawberries and mango? I told the server to send it back and they gave it to me for free , they said the chef didn't have time to prep bc they were busy the day before but I saw someone get their French toast delivered to their table after mine and theirs looked correct. The inconsistency for the price is just simply not worth it, the services is always slow and sub-par. I had a great first impression but has been disappointing lately :( read more

This restaurant is a wonderful place to enjoy a good meal. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the overall vibe makes you feel comfortable right away. I ordered the green sauce chilaquiles, and the balance of heat and flavor was spot on. The portion size was generous -- I could only finish half of my plate. The music selection was excellent, though it was a bit louder than I prefer; however, it did help mask the noise from other customers. I'll definitely return when I get the chance. Now, for a few areas that could use improvement. Our waitress wasn't very attentive and often disappeared to the back. She also forgot to bring our friend's drink with his meal, though fortunately it wasn't added to his bill. I also ordered a hot chai tea, which arrived lukewarm. I didn't send it back since it still tasted great, but it would have been nice for it to be properly hot. Lastly, the strong scent of Fabuloso cleaner was overwhelming. I completely understand wanting to keep the place clean, but it would be better to dilute the cleaner more or use it after closing. The smell was so strong that it affected my wife's breathing due to her asthma. Despite these issues, the food and atmosphere make this place well worth visiting. Really torn between a 3 or 4 star review. Went with 4 stars because MOST of the food is really really good & the drinks are delicious. Leaned towards 3 because the service has been incredibly slow every time we've ever come in even if we are the only table in the place. They have lost out on many additional drink orders from us because by the time the servers come around we are just tired of waiting & close out. Also, do not order the steak it is equivalent to a steak from Denny's, truly awful... paying nearly $60 for it felt criminal. What IS good: bacon wrapped quail, tuna poke tacos, edamame & shishito, appetizer sampler I hope this place lasts because the ambience is so nice, music is always fun, drinks are good & food is typically good. For food, I went with the red chilaquiles and asked for an over-medium egg, but it came out well-done and geeen sauce instead. The green sauce was spicy (in a good way!) and really tasty though, so it made up for it. On my way out I grabbed a strawberry matcha to go--sweet, smooth, and way better balanced than what I usually get at Starbucks. Good drinks, good food, and nice vibe. We tried the churro cold brew and the cookie butter chai tea. Both had fantastic flavor, but would benefit from less sugar, as they were entirely too sweet. My first experience at Leyenda was pleasant but lacked some of the qualities of a high end experience. Firstly, the cocktails were good. The pornstar martini was on the sweet side and definitely could have used something to cut the sweetness, but it was good overall. My other cocktail (La Gabriela) was good too. We had the queso flameado, which had a unique twist with pepitas and honey. I really enjoyed it. The shishito peppers and edamame were excellent--maybe my favorite dish of the night. I had a Aqua Chile for my entree, and the cut of the steak was just a little too fatty. The flavor was there but there were chucks of fat I had to cut off because there was so much. The server was very nice but he seemed frazzled at times. I don't know if he was new maybe? No major complaints overall. I think this place has great potential, but just needs a little more refinement to match the vibe they're going for. read more

We enjoyed the coffee, but unfortunately the brunch food wasn't great. The menu definitely looks promising but execution didn't quite meet our expectations. The french toast is said to be served with bourbon caramelized bananas but came out with cold, sliced bananas instead. When we inquired about this, they said the chef decided to change the recipe... The Brunch Burger flavor was good, but the bun was cold and both the burger and eggs were quite overcooked. Service was good and the vibe of the restaurant is unique. May be worth coming back to try drinks at Happy Hour, but we likely won't be back for brunch. read more

The coffee is the bomb!! But the food is not good at all. The lunch is mostly fried food and the brunch has no seasoning. The burger and bacon were burnt. This place is a hidden gem! We had a great experience. The outdoors was clean & great exterior. The parking was easy to find as it's on the corner! The interior is was fabulous... the quality that went into this restaurant when they put it together, you can tell they thought off all of the details. The menu was GREAT! Our waitress let us know that they do make changes as well! We love when a restaurant does that so it always gives you options.
