Other companies making appointments for you can get buggy, I get it. Installation took what I expected. All staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They answered all of my questions. Made sure I had everything I needed and were insistant they I call if I need anything or had questions. Which I did a few days later and got a speedy resolution. The window stopped working too, so it was time for a repair. I took it to my regular mechanic (Broadway Imports, and they rock as well!) and he said they didn't do body work but recommended Dan at Atomic Auto Body. So, Monday we had an appointment to get the work done (replace the door with a $50 craigslist door) and went in. Well, once Dan got into the door, he found that the regulator (thing that moves the window up and down) was missing teeth and he would not be able to put that in my cheapo CL door. "How much?" I inquired. "$175 for a used one." -- "Damn" I mumbled under my breath, "Okay, go ahead and do it." So later that week, we went out to pick up the car and I was totally expecting the charges to be over $300, since the original estimate was for $120 and then the regulator added in for $175, plus the additional labor. But I was floored when he told me it was only $242 since he found a less expensive used regulator. How many times does your final bill come in less than the estimate? No many in my lifetime. Dan was a consummate professional, a pleasure to chat with, and did a bang up job (forgive the pun!) If you ever need body work done or want to restore an old jalopy, take it to Dan at Atomic Auto Body -- You won't be disappointed.

These two shops wanted to fix everything from bumper to bumper, and the bumpers, on the passenger side of the car. I just wanted two replacement doors. This auto shop found used doors for me and put them on for $1,000. I did not want them painted. I did not want a whole bunch of other stuff done. No problem, used doors installed work well and it did not take them long to get the job done.

I can still see it which bugs me but it's better for a pro to do it rather than myself, I paid a flat rate fee of $60. He was very nice, and upfront. Also, this happened 7/11/24 and he was able to repair it on 7/12/24, which was great because I was stressing. Plus he came to me, I didn't have to drive out to a shop or anything which was awesome! If you can do it yourself I would but if you'd rather have a pro do it, I'd definitely go with James. When I asked to test drive, they found that they had lost the key to the truck. I was asked to return 3 hours later. Upon returning, the key they had promised to order from Chevrolet still wasn't there. I had to wait another hour for them to figure out who was going to go get it. 2. Once on the test drive, I was advised by the owner that they had all service records for the vehicle. Upon signing, they had *lost* them. 3. I was told I would be given a 21 day trip permit - again, once I gave them cash for the vehicle, I was told that they were out of 21 day trip permits. I was given a 10 day trip permit instead 4. As of today, 6 weeks after the purchase, I STILL HAVEN'T RECEIVED THE TITLE. So I have a truck that I haven't been able to drive for the past 4 and 1/2 weeks. I can't register it, I can't get tags. 5. I've called numerous times regarding this issue. The first time I was referred to the DMV. The DMV says that there has been no activity on the title. The second time I called I was told to call right back and ask for the manager. I called back, it went to voicemail. So, I've given this dealership 4,500 cash for a truck I can't drive. It would have taken one phone call to resolve this on their part, but now I'm forced to call my lawyer. Buyer beware.
