"Refused to see a patient in pain for being 12 minutes late" I had a very disappointing experience with this dental office. The day before my appointment, I paid $59 for a consultation because I was experiencing dental pain. I was told to return the next day to continue with the treatment. Unfortunately, I arrived 12 minutes late to my appointment and the staff refused to see me. Even after explaining that I was in pain and that I had already paid for the consultation the day before, they canceled my appointment and told me I would have to wait another full week to be seen. Because of the pain I am experiencing, I cannot wait another entire week for treatment. I now have to seek care at an emergency dental clinic to address this problem. Unfortunately, this also means I lost the $59 I paid for the consultation, since I was ultimately unable to receive treatment at this office. I understand that clinics have schedules to follow, but refusing to see a patient in pain over a 12-minute delay felt extremely inconsiderate and unprofessional, especially after I had already paid and was asked to return the next day. I expected more understanding and compassion from a healthcare provider. Sadly, this experience made me feel like patients are treated more like appointments on a schedule than people who may actually be suffering. read more

Inefficient and not professional at all. Last year they canceled my appointment 5 times and my daughter went there and after 45 minutes they said that they have to reschedule her for other day. I tried again and now , just went, and 35 minutes they tell me that the do not accept the insurance, the guy never checked the information i provided when i called for appointment and i asked!!! Very unprofessional, Inefficient and playing with the time of others, i was taking time from work. Not good!!!! Wont see me and my family never again. read more

I went to the dentist for the first time in years and Dr. Carlos took such good care of me. Not only did he take his time to help me understand exactly what I needed done but he was very gentle with me. The hygienist was amazing and she walked me through everything I needed to know about my gums. Dr Paola Ossa was amazing! It was my first time there and I had a wisdon tooth extraction and almost no pain after procedure. She worked fast with angel hands. She helped calming me down before surgery. I know I can trust her now as my dentist. Her assitant Aliette was very kind and helped Dr Ossa during the whole procedure. I experienced the worst customer service of my life at Dental American Group. Not only were the receptionists clueless on the phone, they ended up having to cancel and reschedule my appointment. When I finally arrived (5 minutes before my appointment time), I proceeded to wait for over an hour to see the doctor. The doctor barely spoke English and made me feel like I was an inconvenience to her, rather than a paying patient. There are far better place in the area that treat their patients much better. read more

Very poor service, my appointment time was not respected . Once inside the dental assistants chit chat among each other and took her sweet time. Appt was at 4pm I got there at 3:45pm. After I agree to pay for the full X-ray that my insurance only covers every 5yrs I understood that and proceed. I specifically wanted to get my annual cleaning , knowing that they might have other suggestions but at that particular visit all I needed is my annual cleaning. They did not performed my cleaning because they recommend a deep cleaning and needed me to pay more money out of pocket. As a consumer we should be allow to decline and request for the regular cleaning which will still be very helpful to the client. They decline to performer my regular cleaning. I was there till 6pm to not get anything accomplished. Waste of time and Money. They pressure clients to make more money and not look after the clients needs and wishes. They should advertise in their front desk that they will decline to perform basic procedures unless you have perfect dental conditions. read more

Stay away from this shady company. I went with my wife and got an evaluation and they painted a picture of compete horror, gloom and doom for my needed dental work, they estimated me over 2300 dollars for everything and my wife another 1300. We went the first visit and got suckered out of $370. We never went back since we didn't have the money but my wife got curious since mostly all clinics run in Hialeah are scam prone and she decided to take us to the Bite Dental in Broward and man was that a life saver. With insurance and all and doing a free X-ray, Bite Dental determined with my insurance that I only needed to pay $300 out pocket for everything I needed and my wife also was quoted way cheaper for both us total was like no more then $500. This company American Dental Group which I think has some funny dealings going on, quoted us a total with insurance $3300. Stay away from these scammers read more

Truly great staff, all of them. They know my name when I walk in. They explain clearly the financial options and charges before any procedure. The staff is friendly and professional. The Dentist is great and the girls are so nice and sweet. On the other hand their administration is HORRIBLE. I was forced to pay a $1000 in a span of three days mind you i was told before hand and there were notes written on my file that stated that i had to pay half when it started and the other half when it ended. My procedure had a waiting time of two weeks and guess what its been almost a month and a half and I'm still not done. They collected their money and now they don't care. read more

They make a mess of your account. You're told you have a credit balance, then when you try to make the appointment, you're told they credit is gone. The doctor is never there anyway. They office is run by the front desk and hygenists... it is EXTREMELY rare that the doctor is even there. Find another dentist. read more

They are a bunch of scammers there. Don't recommend at all. I wanted a regular dental cleaning ,and their assistant helper started making up I needed deep cleaning. She was stalling me for a few hours putting videos. Then she wanted to charge me 25 dollars for another exam afterwards and i told her no. Then she persisted with the deep cleaning treatment for every three months And then I finally asked how much to the billing lady she left me to talk to? Then she said the medical insurance covers one part but I had to pay 720 dollars per each deep cleaning treatment. Yet my medical insurance said I have coverage for two dental cleanings each year. Then I told her i wanted the regular cleaning that the insurance covers every six months and she then refused my request. They got away with charging my medicaid medical insurance for exams yet they didn't keep their promise with cleaning my teeth today. Avoid this place at all costs. They don't care about their patients. They are a bunch of rip off artists. Even that pyramid triangle that they use looks illuminati satanic. read more

BEWARE, BUSINESS BEFORE MEDICINE. I actually went to the Pembroke Pines office of Dental American Group. They were advertising a $59 deal that included a consultation, x-rays & a cleaning. This deal is falsely advertised. I went in for the x-ray, consultation & cleaning today & was told I had to make another appointment (after confirming when I initially called that I was making an appointment for the cleaning) in order to get the cleaning. I informed them that I am a student without insurance & all I was worried about was getting my cleaning & taking care of any cavities. In addition I was told the Dentist "recommended" I get a deeper cleaning (not a normal cleaning) that costs $90 extra; when I refused that cleaning they told me I could not get a normal cleaning because the Dr. (Dr. Marvina De Sousa) had "suggested" I get a deeper cleaning. I told them I did not care what the Dr. suggested, I would rather get a normal cleaning than no cleaning as I cannot afford the more expensive cleaning she was suggesting. At this point I requested that they give me copies of all the paperwork they had just added to my patient file & they told me they cold not give me a copy of the doctors notes (which is absurd & illegal). I informed them that I am aware of my patient rights & of HIPAA law & of they did not give me a copy of my file I would make a legal complaint against them. At this point they agreed to give me the copies but refused to give me the cleaning I had already paid for. This offer is a scam & they are simply looking to sell a bunch of expensive aesthetic garbage (I was told I need a custom designed mouth guard that costs $500 & an expensive electronic toothbrush they only sell at the dentist's office on top of a bunch of aesthetic work that I cannot afford at the moment). I will never return to this place. read more
