The day before my appointment, I paid $59 for a consultation because I was experiencing dental pain. I was told to return the next day to continue with the treatment. Unfortunately, I arrived 12 minutes late to my appointment and the staff refused to see me. Even after explaining that I was in pain and that I had already paid for the consultation the day before, they canceled my appointment and told me I would have to wait another full week to be seen. Because of the pain I am experiencing, I cannot wait another entire week for treatment. I now have to seek care at an emergency dental clinic to address this problem. Unfortunately, this also means I lost the $59 I paid for the consultation, since I was ultimately unable to receive treatment at this office. I understand that clinics have schedules to follow, but refusing to see a patient in pain over a 12-minute delay felt extremely inconsiderate and unprofessional, especially after I had already paid and was asked to return the next day. I expected more understanding and compassion from a healthcare provider. Sadly, this experience made me feel like patients are treated more like appointments on a schedule than people who may actually be suffering.

During my treatment I mentioned a pain on my gums and the staff were always quick to get you out the door. 2. Every time I went for my Invisalign appointment the doctor would say it's complete despite an open bite being present. I felt that I had to put my foot down one too many times to continue the treatment. 3. I was overfilled frequently and ended up getting reimbursement checks in multiple occasions. 4. When i finished my treatment the retainers I was given had a hairline crack. During my next appointment I brought that up and that doctor said I would need to pay $200. I pleaded my case and he essentially told me to F off and to go to another doctor. His staff was stayed very quiet so I can imagine this type of outburst is normal. 5. Last but most concerning, during two occasions the doctor cut my Invisalign aligners with scissors so that I was left with a small piece that only covered 4 teeth. His rationale was that it would allow the open bite to close on its own, going against my wishes to switch to braces. This left jagged edges that cut into my lips. More importantly and dangerously, it left me in a situation where the pieces came off during my sleep almost shocking me. I need to reach out to Invisalign to confirm if this was an approved procedure. Not only did the doctor do it once, but twice during my treatment.

For starters the entire staff are absolutely pleasant to work with. They will work with you and his schedule and I find it very convenient that he works out of two offices in Miami Dade county. As for the doctor himself... what can I say. He is down to earth, isn't one of those doctors who want to appear smarter than everyone else in the room; very personable, kind, and most of all friendly. He makes you feel at ease... at least he does for me. I usually forget I'm at the dentist. Just as point of reference, I have been going to the dentist from a very early age this was something my mother always instilled in me. Every 6 months go get your cleanings done. I'm currently 41 years old and never missed a 6 month appointment. So yes I've been to lots of appointments and to lots of different dentists.
