Because unlike the Terminator I am a pussy when it comes to dental pain. Ok, the review: Staff. Absolutely amazing staff. Patient, caring, informative, insistent (as they must be with patients of my ilk) and empathetic. This staff cares. Plus most of them get their own work done here which says something about the place. I hate, abysmally so, going to the dentist but this office's staff is like the lollipop you'd get as a kid following the dreaded immunization shots. Service. They get the job done. You may not like some of the stuff they are telling you that you need to get done but it's the legit deal. It's not like you take your car in to the shop and the mechanic tells you have to get your oil changed and suddenly you're told you need 4 new tires, a transmission change, a new water pump, new battery and new fuel tank. You may have some work that needs done on a tooth (or two or three or all) but they just let you know and allow you to decide when to get the stuff done. Cost. They are not network dentists for reasons that I heard but I don't quite remember because I was still in 'dental appointment' shock. They do offer CareCredit which is a service that offers financing same-as-cash as long as you pay back the amount loaned within 6 months. If you don't... be careful as the account then goes to 29.99% interest. So it'd be best not to try and get a grill like Jaws from the James Bond film "The Spy Who Loved Me". Or rapper grills. Pain. Sigh. I can get tattoos, endure scars and battle wounds, and even handle watching 'The View' without too much grimacing. But dental pain can keep me from sleeping well at night before an appointment. This office has more than a few options for helping you out in the pain department. It might be a slight (or not so slight if you're me) increase in the bill but it definitely helps. If you are as bad as me you might want to bring a hammer and give yourself an old-fashioned good night's sleep. Again it goes to the staff as they are all really great in helping you get as pain-free an exam/treatment as they can provide. Overall... you have your choice of dentists. I chose mine. Happy drilling! - sigh... now my pulse is up.

However, from the minute you walk in Dr. Davidian's office it is a positive experience, and all it took was that one visit for me to continue coming back (and without the Valium!) Everyone in that office is genuinely concerned with your health, well-being, and just who you are as a person. The dental care is beyond compare, but every time you visit Dr. Davidian's office it is like you have family taking care of you, and that's what really makes her staff and her superior healthcare providers. Thank you to Vanessa, Carrie, and Dr. D.! Even after moving to Cary, I still make the drive so that I can ensure I have the best dental service I could possibly have. 1. He abandoned me mid-crown, leaving me only a temporary, with no referrals. No apology. No good…read morebye. If you look up "covert narcissist" in a dictionary, you might see his face. So creepy. 2. After my 1st appt the receptionist said they get paid extra for getting patients to write 5-star google reviews. Now I see they have to do this bc IMO no one would give them otherwise. 3. This theme of unprofessionalism got worse. I experienced: the dentist shoving his groin and male member into my arm, even though I asked him to stop; he HANDED ME A SUCTION WAND AND TOLD ME TO DO MY OWN SUCTION in the middle of my own procedure! My 1st visit, I was "helped" by a woman who had zero dental experience and told me all about her last job, in retail. She stood there doing nothing while I had to get my own x-ray apron, had bits of things flying out of my mouth and inhaled them bc she didn't do anything, and when I asked for a simple pillow due to an injury, she handed me some dirty, uncovered thing that wasn't a normal object. No empathy. 4. I needed a crown. There are competency & quality issues here. The 1st crown was so big I kept biting my tongue. The 2nd crown chipped before it even got to stay in my mouth. It had to be sent back a 3rd time. More than I've had with any other dentist. No apology for this inconvenience. 5. In the last 3 days, I have gone back to this office 4 times. The Twice the temporary crown fell off completely, the 3rd it broke in half while I basically doing nothing. The 1st visit was 90 minutes, the other 2 were at least 40. For a temp crown!? Dr. Omad micromanages his assistants; they seem annoyed at him then they don't do what he says. 6. After my 4th failed temp crown in 3 days, he tries to weasel out of it, didn't want to see me til after the weekend. What were you eating, was it hard? We had this conversation the 1st 3 times his temp crown failed; each time it was the temp crown not anything I was doing. He can question me but I can't question him. Any sane human in my position would've been frustrated at this point, so I said my build up needs to be protected, I don't want coffee and other things getting on it. He should want that too At this point, he says that if i'm questioning his competency, I can go elsewhere. Because he's allowed to ask me dumb questions and I can't say, why does this keep happening? 7. I asked him why the double standard. He always blames things that don't exist like some imaginary "tone" that he thinks I have, apparently normal human frustration for coming to see him 4 times this week due to his bad work isn't something he can handle, but it's ok to waste my time. He interrupts me constantly while I'm talking, trying to stop me from talking. He gets facts wrong. I tell him I'm going to change the google review his assistant asked me for. He passive-aggressively says, "yeah, sure, you can do that!" like someone's just given him a gift. So here's your gift. 8. He doesn't tell me this ahead but he brings his wife and crying baby when he begrdudingly shows up to replace my 4th temporary. Doesn't introduce her but has her do suction. I know from the past she's also a dentist and the only reason she's there is to cover his arse bc he's being negligent. The whole time he is being passive-aggressive, jerking me around in the chair, doing things he knows I don't like, even though I'm reminding him. He hands me a letter as I leave w/ a fake "thank you for being my patient and now we are terminated" as if I wanted to see him. What a coward. I asked if this was a joke. All he and his wife say back in his passive-aggressive way is "ok." 9. No referrals or emergency services offered, against dental regulations. 10. He rubbed groin my arm a few times. 11. The blond young assistant/girl at front desk never says hi or bye. This is how he trains his staff.

Unfortunately, we, as a family, will not be staying as patients any longer. Once Riccobene took over, the family feel left and was replaced with giant corporate greed. We've had billing issues, a male dentist there (military dentist) told me I needed a cavity filled. Dr Robbie did current X-rays and said, absolutely not! No cavity anywhere! The office feels like a giant cattle call. No friendliness, no warmth, the revolving door of staff shows how bad it's become. On our most recent visit, there were FOUR temporary hygienists/assistants. You never see the same team. We've witnessed questionable behavior from a dentist there (male military dentist), we've seen hygienists standing around eating in the patient area. This office is no longer what it once was and we are moving on. Following Dr Sommer to Youngsville Dentistry, he's terrific and actually cares about his patients.
