I had a horrible experience with Raleigh Dental Arts. They lied and said they were in my network with my insurance and they were not. They also lied saying they submitted my claims and they never did. A year later they tell me they were having trouble with the claims and wanted their money. Every week I call to talk to the office manager Chelsie, she is either on vacation or sick. No-one will explain to me what happened to the claims. I do not recommend this Dental office. read more

I've seen Dr. A & Dr. Leedy. I've seen Meghan, Melissa, Jo & the list goes on. Each one has been wonderful. Smiling faces, positive attitudes & environment. Clean and welcoming office & laboratories. Quick & punctual appointments. Easy scheduling and even easier email communication. All of that would be what I'd expect when coming in for an appointment however the reason RDA gets 5 stars comes down to this. Transparency. Every single time. Honesty, compassion & beyond surface knowledge is what brings me back. Comfortability in my plan of care gives me confidence that RDA is serving me as a total person. Love love love the staff. The follow ups, reminders & coffee in the waiting area. & lastly - their ability to connect on a deeper level than just me signing over a check. I've been a patient at Raleigh Dental Arts for pretty close to twenty years. My family has terrible dental genetics and my teeth were not in good shape initially. But one step at a time, Dr. Agarwal and his crew got my teeth in good shape. Now at 69, I'm literally the only person in my family that still has their teeth. It all started yesterday morning at 4 AM when I couldn't sleep. I decided to get online to check my e-mail. In one of the ads from a local radio station I saw that Dr. Tarun Agarwal of Raleigh Dental Arts will host their second annual Giving Smiles Event. That is where they give as many adults as they can free dental care from 7 AM to 4 PM. I looked at the clock, and then jumped in the shower. When I got there a few minutes after 5 AM there were already a few people there. The person at the front of the line got there about 3:30 AM. They were offering either a cleaning, filling, or extraction all on a first come, first served basis. Since some of the procedures performed would ranged from $80 for a cleaning, to upwards of a $1000 for a tough extraction. All of this was performed at no charge by dozens of volunteers. When my number was called, 21, I was escorted inside, and after a brief wait it was my turn to see the hygienist. I must say the Melissa and her intern Brad were very nice and did a great job as all I wanted was a simple cleaning. While you are there sitting in the chair, you don't have to stare at an empty ceiling as they have mounted televisions on the ceiling for you to watch. Throughout the entire process all of the staff and volunteers kept a positive upbeat attitude and smiled to the entire crowd as they dealt with people. I talked with some of the people that were waiting, and everybody was thankful for the Doctor to sponsor events such as this because with or without insurance dental care can be very costly. I love my normal dentist as I have been seeing him since my childhood, but Raleigh Dental Arts is a excellent dentist worth visiting in the future. read more

As most know, being a first time mother is hard. Add in your child having a tongue tie and/or lip tie & it does not make anything easier. That being said, we saw Dr. Leedy at Raleigh Dental Arts after a family member referred his office, seeing good reviews & his website claiming to have additional training in treatment for ties. He checked my 4 week old daughter for ties and confirmed that she indeed had a lip tie that should be revised. I stated our lactation consultant said there was a posterior tongue tie & that she has difficulty latching/taking a paci. He told us that she did NOT need to have her tongue revised because she had great suction. Again, as first time parents we trusted this information and had her lip tie revised. We scheduled a 2 week follow-up in which we went back to Dr. Leedy & told him that nothing had changed and that her feedings were still bad, we had not seen ANY change, and actually fed her in front of him so he could see what we were talking about. He brushed it off and told us that he would give us a referral to a myofascial therapist. A few days later he emailed me with another dentists information. We made an appointment to see Dr. Holman & her team. Due to the holidays, her schedule, our schedule, it took time for us to get an appointment. When we visited Dr. Holman, we were told that the bodyworker in her office was not a myofascial therapist- this was strange since that is who he was referring us to. In addition to that, Dr. Holman examined my daughter and confirmed she in-fact does have a posterior tongue tie. Due to this tie not being released until she was 12 weeks old- we have run into EXTREME ISSUES. My daughters first 3 months of life have consisted of being extremely gassy & uncomfortable. Her pallet did not form correctly as her tongue has never been able to rest on the roof of her mouth. She has learned to eat incorrectly which is now requiring seeing a speech pathologist. She still cannot use a paci and bites anything including her own thumb- rather than suck. To say that I feel he did my daughter an injustice is an understatement. Please, please see anyone besides his office for treatment. read more

This is a very professional practice - Dr. Levy has just amazing bedside manner and is very thorough in explaining things and isn't pushy about procedures but gives you all the options. Raleigh Dental Arts is AMAZING! And this is coming from someone who absolutely loathes going to the dentist. I was referred to Raleigh Dental Arts by my boss so I figured I would try somewhere new. And I'm glad I did! The front desk staff, Madison and Tatyonna, were very accommodating with my schedule, what my insurance covered, and answering all questions and concerns that I had. Jesse was my dental hygienist when I came in a couple weeks later to get my cleaning done. She is absolutely fantastic and I highly recommend her. She went above and beyond her duties. She's great to talk to on a personal level and made recommendations when I suggested things I might want done. I saw Whitney and Dr. Leedy for the cavities that I needed to get filled. Whitney is the absolute sweetest and reassured me that everything was going to go smoothly. Dr. Leedy is outstanding and very informative and professional. Every single day since December 27, 2016, I have regretted the day I sat in Dr. Kayshyap's chair and got fillings in my two front teeth. This was my first time having work done by him, although I have been a patient of Raleigh Dental Arts since 2014, but I was previously a patient of Dr. Leech. After Dr.Leech left this office I was just kind of handed over to Dr. Kayshyap. When I looked in the mirror after he was finished I wanted to breakdown and cry. Additionally, he did a little more than we had initially discussed. Although, I believe he thought he was helping, but these are my teeth and he should have asked me first. He did call me later that evening to check on me, not sure if he does this with all of his patients or if he knew my new cosmetic fillings were terrible. Most people would rather go to a Yanni + John Tesh superjam then spend a minute under the drill at the dentists office. I myself was one those people until I stumbled upon this place. After reading some choice reviews online, I decided to make an appointment to take care of some much neglected teeth. My experiences have been fantastic. The staff is super friendly. They actually explain the whole process from plan to payment. No big surprises and just some fantastic work. Dr. Tarun Agarwal definitely chose the right name for his practice. He is a true artist. I had an unsightly cavity that no longer exists and looks like it never existed thanks to his talents. They are also state of the art. I love going into any business where they have taken the time to update their infrastructure to keep up with the times. There is a lab upstairs, so crowns and such can actually be created on site. Very cool. I was also able to catch up with Sportscenter on the ceiling mounted television while getting my work done. Who could ask for more? Dr. A also spends most of his weekends traveling and teaching state of the art processes to other dentists through out the country. I guess you can tell by now that I have found my dentist in Raleigh. If you make an appointment, tell them Erik Swanson sent you. read more

This is the place where everybody knows your name. My family has been going to see Dr. A and his staff at Raleigh Dental Arts for decades. After a less than stellar experience with a different dentist soon after we were married, my wife had some work done at Dental Arts. She immediately decided this would be our dentist. Since then, we have moved 3 times and Dr. A has moved locations once. There is a lot of dentists closer to us today....but we will make the drive. My wife would not even consider anyone else. She has had crowns, root canals, etc. They are full service and can do whatever you need done. I have been fortunate and, aside from 1 crown and a couple of replacement fillings, have only needed cleanings over the years. What I like is that the people who do the cleanings appear to be careful not to make it a painful experience. Now I opened this review by saying this is the place where everybody knows my name. This is a true statement. When I walk in, it does not matter who I run into. They have always been friendly. And whoever I speak to knows me by my first name. They remember the conversations from past visits and really get to know you as a person. If you are looking for a dentist, I really cannot imagine a better choice. read more

I am a first time patient, went in for cleaning/xrays....was very impressed with the staff, very professional and pleasant. The dental Hygienist (sorry bad at remembering names) seemed extremely knowledgeable and thorough and was very personable. The dentist seemed the same though have to admit I haven't had any work done yet but he seemed competent and honest about a broken crown i had that he said could wait to be replaced if no issues with it, when he could have lied and and said I needed a new one and I never would have known the difference. The office manager thoroughly explained any charges should I opt to have work done and gave me a breakdown in writing. They even offered a payment plan with no interest for 6 months!! I chose Raleigh Dental Arts because they had so many glowing reviews. My experience however was anything but. I saw Dr. Sunil Kashyap. Dr. Kashyap saw multiple patients during my appointment. Normally, this is fine and does not cause delays. However, this time I laid in the chair for 15-20 minutes for four different intervals during my filling. That is FOUR times I laid there for at least 15 minutes waiting on Dr. Kashyap with a big device in my mouth holding it open. To say that is uncomfortable is an understatement. Not only was it uncomfortable but the device they used to suck up saliva was pressed against my cheek the whole time (I could not tell at the time as I distracted by the discomfort my jaw was experiencing). This was not discovered until I motioned needing to go to the bathroom (the device was still jammed into my mouth during all these long waits). They finally took the device out of my mouth and discovered it had created a GIANT blood blister on the side of my cheek. This lasted weeks as it was very swollen and made it hard to eat. I understand having to wait in a dentist but at least take the device out of the patients mouth so they are not in pain and make sure it is positioned properly and not just sucking on the patients cheek. Dr. Kashyap did not seem to care about the wait or discomfort I experienced and did not even follow up and speak with me after he completed the filling. He was out of that room before I even had a chance to sit up. All in all, it was an awful experience and I will not be returning. read more
