AMAZING experience at village dental!! Tina is a blessing and helped me get my x rays done. She held good conversation and was super professional. Marge cleaned my teeth and was very caring, Autumn was her assistant and was also super sweet and kept me calm. I got Maya as my dentist and she was patient and kind as well. I have emetophobia & everyone was sure to walk me through the whole process bc I was nervous about gagging. I haven't gotten my teeth cleaned in 3-4 years so mine were pretty rough and I was still only charged the $97, so not sure what other reviewers were talking about.. Going in I was a little nervous because of the other yelp reviews but I actually had a really good experience. To note it did take me a long time as a new patient to get set up, I was in there for 3 hours for all the exams, x rays, cleanings and walkthrough of what procedures I needed. BEWARE: BAIT AND SWITCH! Their ad says free exam/x-rays + $97 for cleaning, see image. There are no disclaimers stating that it might be more. They told me I needed a "mod cleaning" which is $289. I told them that online it says $97. She said they would charge me that next time. I really wanted the cleaning and didn't want to go through another exam/x-ray, so I agreed. After getting the cleaning I was a bit surprised at how basic it was. There was nothing special about it, in fact it was less thorough than previous cleanings I've had. At this point, I had been there for 3 hours and still hadn't even seen the dentist yet. I ended up walking out. I went there for regular cleaning, it took them over an hour to take painful x-rays, then they told me they can't do my regular cleaning and have to do a "deep cleaning" I asked them if insurance would cover it? They said it should, but nothing is guaranteed! I'm transferring all of our files to another dentist and will never go back to this place, ever again! I was a new patient to WF village Dental two days ago, went in right off expressing my anxiety with dentist could not had expressed it enough I was in tears. I had 2 teeth to be extracted one was a old root canal the other was a old filling that came out. My apartment was at 10 that morning I got there around 9:45 didn't walk out till after 3:35. I was in the chair from 1015 till after 3pm.. the dr got out of her chair in the middle of my extraction to go do a procedure on another patient!@#$$... when I asked where did she go after 10 minutes of being gone to the girl beside me she said she went to help another patient..... I said really ! She said in return there's other appointments........ You know that icky feeling you have after leaving a slimy car dealership, time share presentation, or a sales pitch from someone clearly looking to oversell you? Sums this place up perfectly. On one end, all the staff is incredibly friendly and they use high-end technology. However, their kind customer service and nice facilities do not mask or excuse what is clearly a thinly veiled sales pitch to upsell you on dental services you don't need. After 2-hours of x-rays, a PowerPoint presentation (literally), and short visit from the doctor, I was taken to a "treatment plan" room and told that I needed to replace old fillings with crowns to the tune of $4,000+. Mind you, no cavities were found and I've had regular 6-months visits for years with no such recommendations. And they didn't even clean my teeth! They also heavily marketed their sedation services throughout the entire visit. While I fully respect the need for sedation for some patients, I'm convinced their aggressive marketing strategy is really designed to boost their margins. There was a sign on the wall that said 80% of their patients use sedation services. On one hand that probably makes patients feel comfortable with accepting the offer but then it also makes you question -- do 8 out of 10 people really need a form of sedation for basic cleanings? Or is it really an innocent, subtle way to upsell patients? We recently moved to the area and I was looking to make a shorter commute for dental needs. This visit confirmed that dental services are not commodities. I'd rather drive 45-minutes to my old dentist who I trust. Maybe Village Dental works well for the many who have left positive reviews. Or perhaps it's just another marketing tactic to drive a high quantity of five star reviews to hide the reality of their borderline scam artist tactics. Highly do NOT recommend this place. Save your money and your time. As someone who finally chose to take care of business and face my fears this was one of the worst experiences i've ever had. I chose the sedation option for my root canal treatment and was clearly upset before the procedure. Although the dental assistant for my visit was very kind I never once was introduced to the doctor who was doing my procedure before or after sedation. Called multiple times after my procedure in pain and got turned down for a post-op check and told to just keep "following my instructions". Ended up figuring out an antibiotic was needed after the procedure and was not clearly communicated to one of my family members after. read more

This location's customer service practices are a joke. I highly do NOT recommend the Wake Forest location!! I received a phone call from the woman who works the front desk at the Wake Forest location, bullying me into an appointment. She called to let me know that my appointment would have to be moved due to no longer offering cleanings on Fridays. (Village Dental-Wake Forest location implemented this policy AFTER my cleaning appointment was already booked for a Friday.) After I told her to cancel the appointment because I would need to look at my schedule and would call back to rebook, she then threatened to charge me a cancellation fee! Mind you, the reason for having to move the appointment in the first place was THEIR issue, NOT mine. I was not the one who required the rebooking; they did as they changed their practices. She said if I didn't reschedule, then I would be issued a fee for canceling. I tried explaining to her multiple times that this is not my problem and I am not responsible for a cancellation fee. Regardless of what I said, she demanded that I reschedule, or I would have to pay the cancellation fee. That said, don't let this stop you from seeing the Village Dental practice in OTHER locations. The Olde Raleigh location is PHENOMENAL! I can't speak for the other locations as I have only been to these two, but I will never be back to the Wake Forest location. Bullying me into an appointment and threatening me with cancellation fees for something you (Village Dental - Wake Forest) did is not a good look. Update #1 (Later, the same day as the incident [August 17, 2023]): The office manager called and apologized on behalf of the lady who bullied me. She said that they would do more training with that individual and that it is not their practice to charge a fee for needing to move an appointment due to an issue caused by them (Village Dental), which in turn causes an inconvenience to the client (aka me). Update #2 (Five days after the incident [August 23, 2023]): I get a reminder text for an upcoming appointment. The office manager I spoke with last week assured me this appointment was canceled. Clearly, it had not been if I was getting reminder texts. I had to call this location to get that appointment canceled yet again. This office is a hot mess!!! HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND - STAY AS FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE!! Serious training needs to happen here, all around. I do not know how they are open or functioning. read more

Please save yourself the tears. Though everyone at this dentistry is very kind my experience here was a nightmare. The X-ray process was so painful my eyes watered the entire time. I move a lot for work, have been to several new dentists and have never experienced a painful X-ray until coming here. I was then told I needed multiple crowns. As a 28 year old who never misses a cleaning I was very shocked. I decided to get a second opinion and searched for a new dentist. I was disappointed to hear Village Dental wanted $40 to share my records but was no longer surprised by anything from this place. My new dentist said I don't need a single crown (& don't believe in charging to share records). They gave me a treatment plan with a filling and overlay saving me over $2,500. I was the first one to review this place. But now, I'm a bit hesitant on the review I left below. (Also seeing other reviews for Village Dental's in Raleigh has me feeling 100% on this review since others have dealt with the same sham) Their pricing was awesome. $59 for a cleaning and X-rays. Who could go wrong? But during my cleaning I was told that I had decay present and three teeth to "watch out" for cavities. One tooth was even said to have a cavity and I needed work done soon. The dentist even asked if she could perform the procedure right then and there since "it would be quick" and she had time. I declined. A few days later, I forwarded my x-rays taken at Village Dental to the dentistry I go to for procedures. They're about 3.5 hours away so I only go when there is signs of a cavity or pain in my gums. I send over the x-rays and within an hour get a call from my dentist. His words? "I see zero signs of decay anywhere..." "Nothing. Zero." I even have it in an email. $59 was an appropriate price for a cleaning. And the staff was exceptionally kind. But to tell me I have to have all of this dental work done and it has to be pronto, etc., to find out that there isn't even a single sign of decay anywhere... kinda leaves me shocked. Dentists are like mechanics. The normal person doesn't know the ins and outs of their mouth, let alone the engine of a car. So you trust a specialist to be honest about what's going on and what issues there may be. To be told you have a problem when there isn't one at all isn't right to do to someone. Just glad I didn't let anyone operate on my mouth without getting that second opinion. read more

Dr. Nadella has been my dentist for years. Before I found her, I spent 40+ years having to have nitrous numbing and still almost in tears... And that it was just for cleanings! Dr. Nadella has a very soothing presence. After seeing her for six months, I didn't need anything for cleaning. I lost a great deal of fear, due to her bedside manner and gentle touch She has always erred on the side of caution with me. If she sees something that could become a problem later on she tells me and makes sure to document. I think this is extremely important! It's always my choice of whether or not I want to have work performed. But it's knowing that these things should absolutely be looked at after every cleaning that I find invaluable. Dr. Nadella has done several implants for me and I'm due for several more. She has always proposed alternate treatments that are less expensive than implants. This means a lot to me and should mean a great deal to any patient I have also opted for sedation to have teeth pulled and bone grafts and she has always used a light touch with the sedation. The fact that sedation is included is incredibly important for someone like me. I can't recommend her highly enough! The staff, Shannon especially, was so nice and so welcoming! I can't tell you what it means to not dread going to the dentist means to me and the impact that it has had on my life. Thank you Dr. Nadella and staff... I could not ask for better! read more

This was my second visit and I have to say I am very afraid of going to the dentist but they really go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and safe. Elizabeth helped me both times and she definitely made both of my experiences enjoyable. Kendall did an excellent job getting me scheduled to fit my work needs. I was a little nervous for my extraction but Elizabeth played me music and cracked a few jokes and I was ready to go. Well it was time for me to get dentures. I went to the Wake Fotest office to meet the staff and put a action plan in place. First the staff is over the top great ,nice , and caring. Then I meet Dr. Nadella who is amazing. She new I was a nervous reck and in pain. I feel like Dr. Nadella made her staff and the denture supplier all go the extra mile to help me with the short time frame I asked for do to my job. Dr Nadellas 15 years of experience sure did shine. I could tell each time I meet with Dr Nadella that she truly cared about me. Started having tooth pain over the weekend. Not only did someone answer my appointment request with minutes, but they gave me their next appointment to get me in as fast as possible. Shannon hated that it couldn't be sooner, but did give me options to try and help me with the pain until then. I could tell how much she cared before even meeting her. Dr. Nadella is amazing and takes her time to show you what's wrong and let's you take things at a pace that is comfortable for you. So glad there's a Village Dental closer to me now! read more

0 stars was not available. It was the first time my wife and I had gone to village dental. My wife tripped on wires lying on the ground walking into the room. The dental assistant did not pick her teeth but instead used the brush which randomly shut off then back on. Watching the dental assistant smack the brush over and over wasn't the worst part though. While watching the embarrassment I overheard someone say in the room over that they have ammonia to wake up patients in case they passed out. She then whispered "it's expired". Then the dentist came in and told my wife she needed 4 fillings replaced. My wife has never had a filling before. Once we finished the appointment we were told that insurance would cover the bill and we were all good to go. Months later we got a bill in the mail that had nothing but the amount due on it. Once I called they apologized saying there was a "credentialing issue" with the dentist that day. Please do not go here. I promise there are better dentists available. Have had a fear of going to the dentist due to previous experiences. I took my chances and I am so glad i did. Going to this practice has been amazing. From the minute I made the appointment to a recent extraction, the quality of care has been amazing. The office is clean and inviting and I truly felt at ease. No matter who you interact with, everyone listens as they truly want what is best for you.
