Well after reading reviews I was skeptical to going to dental dreams but I'm glad I did because my experience was very different from these folks. I also suffer from anxiety and I was ok. The staff 2 wonderful young ladies took my X-rays and these are not easy due to discomfort positions on gums and these young ladies were so patient with me and we got it done I have nothing but praise for these young ladies doing their job with professionalism And Dr Becker and her team were kind patient with me I feel really bad for these folks and their bad experience at this establishment but for me I had nothing but kindness And for that I need to thank Dr Becker and her team. read more

Truly horrible experience. Went in for just a routine cleaning and ended up being scheduled for a filling, extraction, crown and deep cleaning. Showed up for the fill and the dentist had gone home sick. During the extraction the dental assistant grabbed the wrong tools and spent a majority or the time flirting with the dentist. The dentist went to numb my tooth and put the needle into the side of my tongue. On the second attempt he shot the novocaine into my eye. When I returned for my deep cleaning I waited a half hour before even being checked in and another half an hour out back without even being seen or checked on. To the point where I finally walked out after being asked to to reimbursed as asking for my chart to be shredded. I highly do not recommend this facility. read more

I was picked on about my weight because of a drink I carried in there the doctor noticed my drink and asked me if I drink that a lot i had said yes and she went on to say " no wonder your so tiny you don't eat or drink much" I never mentioned a thing about what I eat or anything so for her to assume and say something foul like that is unprofessional read more

Had a horrrrrible experience!!! The dentist himself was not friendly or caring I have the worst anxiety n told them so day in chair 30mins to have them make me take ex rays again ...... took some three weeks ago at my dentist office that had been emailed to them he just didn't wanna look at them......... I've been in pain for months n he put something on my tooth that made me stand up in tears like I legit started crying for 10+ mins I'm such a baby when it comes to the dentist n I have really bad anxiety (had anxiety attack while waiting) I would not tell anyone to go here Btw it's been over n hour since I left crying in pain n I'm still in pain took ibuprofen already n nothing read more

My daughter whom is 6 months pregnant has been to this office in New Bedford 3 times to have the same restoration restored because it keeps falling out. This is totally unacceptable. Now, the nerve of the tooth is aggravated and I'm hoping it doesn't require a future root canal and crown. To top things off the assistant dropped an etchant solution on her face. Etchant is an acid based solution placed in the tooth prior to priming and bonding. This etchant has burned her face and we have photos. This office has proven to be unprofessional, incompetent and completely unacceptable. read more

If it was possible to leave a negative star review, I would . Every time I have been here I feel like nothing is actually accomplished. I came in for an extraction just to wait in the lobby in excruciating pain for over an hour past my wait time just to have a "dentist" poke and prod me for 2 minutes then tell me that they can't do anything right now and refer me to another dentist after assuring me that the refereed office took my insurance... which they did not. But they made sure to book me for a cleaning in 6 months ( I don't remember even agreeing to a cleaning or any appointment) before shipping me off to suffer at home and figure this out Ended up having to lose a day of work (and pay a friend to drive me because it's considered Oral Surgery and they won't let you sign in without a driver there) to go to Brockton to see a dentist with time in their schedule. Anyway...I'm getting off topic. It's now 6 months later and I just went in for my cleaning (I'm not one to cancel appointments 2 days before, which is when I received a call to confirm) and it was all the same bullshit as before. I assumed there would be a hygienist that was going to take the time to clean my teeth correctly, I was sadly mistaken. The dentist performed my cleaning in about 2 minutes. The whole time I just thought that he was doing a little preliminary work before really getting in there, NOPE!!! He did not check for pocket depth, clean off any calculus, check for any cavities, polish, etc.. All that he did was run a waterpik over my teeth a few times then tell me to come back in a few weeks for a restoration. I can still clearly see spots that he didn't even bother to touch. I think that I do a better job at home with my little Oral-B waterpik. This place is a joke. They just get you in the door to bill your insurance then refer you to someone else for actual dentistry. I can only imagine what they actually bill my insurance for after my copay. I didn't think that it was possible for my mouth to feel dirtier after getting a cleaning but this is one area where Dental Dreams outshines the competition! FML read more

I first came here a couple of years ago because I was referred to Dr. Kim which did a very nice job. But because of my fear of dentist I stopped going. Now 3 weeks ago I went because I needed a cleaning. I was having some sensitivity to hot and cold to which they did take my x-rays. Noticed I had a few cavities and wanted to work on them right away which I couldn't do. Made another appt which is where I messed up because I made it with Dr Phang. Big mistake. He's way to aggressive when I went home and took my mask off I noticed a little cut on my face. The took with in the back so it was kind of hard to reach but man my mouth was being stretched open to the most extreme. It was horrible. So the following week I made my appt with Dr Kim instead for my own safety. I told him about my pain after seeing the previous doctor to which they took another set of x-rays. And guess what my tooth is damaged and needs a root canal to which I can't afford. It's been 3 weeks since seeing dr phang and I currently still have horrible pain which I now feel in my cheekbone. Please if you do go there because you can't find anywhere else only visit Dr Kim. read more

This is a corporation that serves Mass Health and other government-sponsored dental plans. The service is horrendous- completely indifferent "dentists" who are there just to bill the government for "services" that are hack jobs. Dental Dreams doesn't have Dental Hygenists- the Doctors do the so-called cleanings---again to pad the books. Do not go here. It is not service, just a corporate machine at work, with no regard for Patient Health. read more

I visited Dental Dreams for the first time for a cleaning and check up. I arrived early and waited for a short while, but not longer than I have at any other place. I was concerned because I had spinal X-rays 2 hours before, and figured more x rays may not be a good idea. They thought it was fine and they would know better than me I guess, so I let them take more. That already gave me some anxiety though and no one likes the dentist, so I was already doubtful of their decision making. I should say the woman who checked me in and the x Ray tech were nice. The dentist came in and didn't greet me, which I found a bit rude, but she continued having a conversation with another staff member. She then began looking in my mouth and was telling her coworker who was also in the room, and who also didn't introduce themselves, that I had one cavity. I then asked if I had to have it filled today and she said no. I discussed that I have TMJ because that makes my dental experiences even worse, and she seemed to perk up enough to try to talk me into a mouth guard that would set me back hundreds of dollars. She went on way too long trying to convince me that what the experts in Boston said couldn't possibly be right and was way too insistent on the very expensive guard. I can't afford it, which I repeatedly said, or I would already have one. They have a heavy low income clientele so one would think they would be aware enough that cost may be a problem for many patients. Admittedly, I was pretty annoyed with the experience at this point. She took out a tool and it was very loud. Exceptionally loud. I have been to a few dentists and never heard anything like this except when having a cavity filled. It really got my anxiety going even more, so I moved her hand away and told her. She went and got me ear plugs, which I was surprised about, but that didn't help. I wish they would have been a bit more knowledgable about anxious patients. I ended up leaving before even one tooth was finished. As I was leaving the room and after apologizing to the dentist, she said it's probably a good idea if I go elsewhere for my teeth. Edited to add that I requested a copy of my X-rays from them so I could go to another dentist. On the phone they said it would be no problem and to just come in. I went in and they said a release had to be filled out and that it would take two weeks. I couldn't believe it would take so long but couldn't do anything but agree. About two weeks later, I received a very sloppily addressed envelope, without a return address. Copied paper of X-rays were included. I'm very glad I decided to not return. When visiting the new dentist, they said I should have never been given dental X-rays after receiving spinal X-rays and a call to my doctor confirmed that.
