As a first time patient you get a nice candle ( I know, it was a little weird but hey a nice free candle is always appreciated) a bunch of travel toothpaste, gum and other stuff. Overall I was exteremly satisfied, the only thing I can complain about is that it felt *slightly* rushed. Maybe because the office, which is in two seperate parts of the building was larger and had more staff than I have been used to. I am very happy with this ultra modern dentist and felt like they hire friendly knowledgeable people. As such, I've dealt with numerous hygienists and dentists (thank god my orthodontist has been the same!). This is mitigated by the fact that every one of the staff members I've dealt with are highly professional and deliver knowledgeable and amazing service! My dentist and hygienist were both professional and did their genuine best to reduce any pain/discomfort. I had to get one of my fillings replaced, and opted to go with a porcelain filling, which they molded on site. It was a definite state of the art experience...this was the first practice I've been to that used cerec fillings...they digital scan your teeth to determine the shape of the filling and then 5 to 10 minutes later the filling is complete and ready to be placed in your mouth....no more sending a mold out to a lab, no temporary fillings, you're in and out quickly! The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 stars is the price. It's very expensive though I guess that's the cost of going to a Collins Street dentist.

Sometimes a half-hearted generic flossing lecture from dentists is easy to ignore. But she was able to use a mini camera and x-rays during my visit to quickly and effectively illustrate some areas to keep an eye on. With those concrete visuals, my flossing regime has just gotten a lot better! At the end, she even spent extra time personally making sure that the billing for my insurance was correct. He adopts state of the art technology at his practice and has a network of respected and esteemed specialists in Melbourne which placed me in the hands of one of the best Periodontal surgeons in the state. My husband required complicated extractions and jaw surgery. Dr Paino was available outside of business hours on his personal mobile to provide support to my husband late at night when he was extremely unwell after being released from hospital. Last month my son was due to fly interstate but was unwell with an infection related to wisdom teeth. We messaged Dr Paino on a Saturday night to seek his advice and he immediately responded and provided a telehealth appointment and arranged for a script to be sent to a 24 hour chemist. This meant our son was well enough to travel a few days later. We can't thank him enough for his expertise, kindness and willingness to provide such out of scope help and support without expecting anything in return.
