It also seems he missed a broken tooth, because he recommended a get it filled also, but when the compound broke off and I went in to get it replaced, he said the tooth was actually broken in half and needed additional work. I have since started seeing a new dentist, who found the weak fillings and replaced them for me, and I've had no problems so far.

They took two types of x-rays, instead of one, when the insurance covers only one of those types of x-rays every 5 years. I ended up having to pay for their mistake. My $1700/tooth veneer fell off within a week and they spent the whole session making fun of me. They offered the $49 new patient cleaning but it's actually $225 and only after a week of them messing up the appointment. The hygienist broke off a retainer bracket and wouldn't go get the dentist to glue it back on. Then she told the receptionist it was just because "I was too tired...?" I've had it. Yall ask for a review every time so here it is. UPDATE: the below reply is indicative of my experience, as I'm clearly not happy and they can't even understand that. They're assuming a lot arrogantly. Dr. Cortez is very thorough and meticulous when it comes to his work. Whether it's a chipped tooth, teeth whitening, or working in collaboration with other dental specialists for a root canal or orthodontics, he knows his stuff. Dr. Cortez has even corrected work from my old dentist, such as when a filling wasn't set properly, became loose, or messed with my bite. It's a family owned business, and all of the staff are personable. Plus, I appreciate that I receive a text message and a phone call to remind me of an upcoming appointment. P.S. Dr. Cortez and his wife (Carrie) can also give you awesome travel tips if you plan to visit one of their favorite spots: NYC or NOLA.
