I called to reschedule my son's appointment now that he will be starting school, as we are unable to attend a 9:00 a.m. appointment. I explained to Kristen that my son has to be at school by 9:00 a.m. each day or he is unable to attend for the day. She said she could reschedule us and offered a 12:00 p.m. appointment on the same day. I explained that he would also be in school at that time and requested a weekend appointment, at which point she informed me that the office is closed on weekends. I then asked if there were any appointments available before 9:00 a.m., and she stated that appointments do not begin until 9:00 a.m. She proceeded to offer several more 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. appointments, so I asked if there were any appointments available after 3:00 p.m. She then told me she could not schedule my son for a later appointment because he is under 6 years old. I simply asked what my son's age had to do with the appointment times. Instead of answering my question, she repeated the same statement, and I explained that I was genuinely confused. I asked if it had something to do with nap schedules or another toddler-related reason. I also shared that, despite every appointment lasting nearly two hours due to the wait to be seen, my son has never had any behavioral issues. She then stated, somewhat hesitantly, that children under 6 become restless in the afternoon, so they do not schedule them during that time. While I fully support businesses having policies and understand that I can choose whether or not to patronize them, refusing to schedule children under 6 for afternoon appointments while calling yourselves "Children's Dental Specialist" seems unreasonable. Limiting school-aged children and working parents to only 9:00 a.m. or 12:00 p.m. weekday appointments is neither family-friendly nor community-friendly. My son has only had two appointments at this office, and both times we waited a significant amount of time before he was seen by the dentist. I informed Kristen that I would like to cancel my son's current appointment and that we would no longer be patients at this practice. I hope the office reevaluates this policy because it creates an unnecessary barrier for school-aged children and working families seeking pediatric dental care. Policies should support the families a pediatric dental practice is meant to serve, not make it more difficult for them to access care.

The staff were so welcoming and patient with my son. They made him feel comfortable while remaining professional and detailed in their work. The day of the visit Dr. Grant and Toothling were great with my sons first dental visit. The office was beautifully decorated and is nothing like your traditional dental office. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The exam it self was fast as expected bc my son wasn't having it. But Dr. Grant was informative in explaining what we needed to do. In the end they took a Polaroid photo of us and handed us a bag of goodies for my son. To our surprise a few days after the visit we got a thank you card in the mail with the Polaroid picture they took of us. Very nice touch!

I've been going to the location on Main for a couple of years now, after finding them when I was…read morenew to the area. They've been my regular dentist ever since. I had my braces done here, and they worked out a payment plan that worked well for me, and everything went really well. When I first got my braces installed, I was seen by Dr. Banty, and later on I saw other doctors there as well, and they were all great. I still go back for my regular cleanings, and I really like that they keep up with your cleaning appointments and send reminders, which makes it easy to stay on top of everything. Appointments are also easy to schedule. They're also really great at accommodating kids. After all, they are named Sola KIDS! The Main location has a kids' area where they can play and be entertained while waiting. They also have plushies and blankets available if they need them during their procedure. I think that's a really nice touch and makes the experience more comfortable for families. After I had an accident and broke two teeth, I went back to them and they referred me to another doctor for the implant surgery. They helped me get through that part of the process and then referred me to their Western location for the next part. I'm really happy with the care I've received from them over the years, especially with how they helped me through this whole process. The Main location is friendly, welcoming, and clean, and I would definitely recommend them!

Even with an appointment I have to wait 30-45 minutes. I once had to wait 1 hour to be seen for an appointment. If I know all that I would've went else where, because I don't have time to waste and with the price of gas, money to waste! Also, it seems like they only have 1 dentist that sees all the clients, because once we had to wait for her to come see us and then she proceeded to see others down the line. So be prepared to waaaiiiiittttttt.

We love Westchester Pediatric Dentistry! We've had 5 or 6 regular visits here (cleaning and exam)…read more I had a horrible dentist experience as a kid and it made me afraid of dentists my whole life. I wanted to make sure the same didn't happen to my kid. At Westchester, they're so patient, understanding, and gentle. The first 1 or 2 times they tried the electric tooth brush/polisher but my kiddo really couldn't handle it so they switched to a regular toothbrush. They assured me he'd get used to it as he came to more visits. And he has. We just had our best visit yet. Kiddo let the hygienist do everything! He got a little freaked out by the suctiontool but she let him hold it and ease into it and he was fine. The waiting room has toys and books and I've never struggled to get an appointment at a convenient time. All their rooms are clean and bright. Great views from the 7th floor windows. Parking is easy in the lot that's inside the building, but not free (you pay $2/30 mins so it's not awful). EDIT: 6 months later and we still love Westchester Pediatric!

With a kid on the spectrum-I can't tell you how important that js. I was told by a number of pediatric dentists they wouldn't treat my son unless he was sedated-and since he has enlarged tonsils-he's not medically cleared for in office sedation (so you can see our conundrum here). Thankfully we were not turned away from Dr Deepa who allowed us to help during his procedure to hold my son's arms while she was able to perform some miracles. No other dentist would help us-but she did. Otherwise he would've been in pain waiting for a surgery center spot (which costs over $5k). You'd think our son was done with dentists offices from here on out-but he is now comfortable with Dr Deepa and doesn't even need help getting into his chairs for examinations. On some level he knows she's helped him get out of his pain. I'm thankful for the staff's ability to help handle these 'out of the box' situations and is why there is only one place for us.
