I have been a patient at this location for over 10 years. They are always on time with their appointments. The hygienists do an amazing job. They never try to upsell you on work that is not needed. They are very professional and do a great job on their dental work. In addition, they also have a great plan if you don't have insurance where you can pay out of pocket at a very reasonable annual amount to get your basic dental work done. I have had the worst dental experience with this office. I went in for a cleaning and was advised that I needed treatment on multiple tea. The treatment was fillings as I did my feelings the doctor Dug, so deep down into my tooth he said I need a root canal I paid and completed A root canal and two fillings, I suffered from severe pain since that very moment and I have not had any help with this dental office. I went in to get a referral and was cussed out by Dr. Wendy and made to feel like a complete idiot because she didn't know why I was there and never spoke to her office manager or read her clinical note for that day. I will be contacting the state dental Board.my insurance because they filed and maxed out my dental insurance for the year and didn't treat any of my My three teeth properly. I have already contacted the Attorney General and reported them to the states consumers protection office. And I will be following up with my attorney for malpractice for the poor work that they completed the significant injury and permanent damage that they've caused me with financial loss if I have been not able to work or speak in my working job for months. I've been in severe pain for several months. I've been to multiple appointments where they've tried to adjust my bite because they didn't do it originally after the fillings. this has been the worst experience of my life! read more

DentFirst Dental Care - when i spoke up in google the called me a liar and discharged me as a patient. like i would have ever went back - Orthodontists Near Me - Lithonia, Georgia

Here it is I scheduled an appointment for my children in July. I was told they didn't have any appointments available until September here it is the day of my children's appointment and they are told they were taken off the schedule to be seen. This was supposed to be their new patient appointment and honestly first impressions are lasting impressions seriously. I asked why and I was told because the office didn't receive a confirmation. They are telling me they called me and didn't hear back from me. I asked Ms. Breanna could she tell me when they called, why didn't they leave a voicemail, and when was my children's appointments canceled? She couldn't tell me anything. There was NOTHING in the system stating they left a voicemail or when my children's appointment was removed. These people couldn't give me any information and now I'm being told my children will have to wait for their next available appointment which could be months from now! They couldn't even give me new appointments! I'm being told they will have to call me back. This is unprofessional and unacceptable. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was told none were available to speak with me but will call me back. I'm now waiting to hear from a Ms. Angie or a Ms. Taquila to discuss this huge inconvenience and why this happened and how we can avoid this happening again. I like to thank Ms. Breanna who I spoke with on the phone for delivering awesome customer service and explaining to me this issue. Make it right DentFirst!! read more

I'm am writing to express my disgust in customer service at Dent First Lithonia GA. My husband scheduled a new patient appointment for 1/27/21 only to have the appointment canceled on 1/25/21 by the office stating "hygienist is unavailable". No consideration and total disregard. Next available in MAY 2021! Needless to say we canceled our appointment and will take our business elsewhere. Whomever is responsible needs reprimand and training. FYI office manager notified, still no consideration. SMH! read more

I love this place! We've been coming here for more than 10 years. One year we picked a plan they didn't take by mistake. It was not a good dental year. We made sure we picked correctly the next year! We would switch between Traci and Faith for cleanings. Faith recently moved to a different location. They are both great! Very personable but professional also. My son got his braces there. That may have been the only time we had to work at getting appointments. The orthodontist is not there daily, which I understand, but it was sometimes difficult trying to get our schedule to match. Even with that they really worked with us. The front desk is awesome...they will spend as much time with you as needed if you have questions on your bill. Generally the wait time is less that 10 minutes. The office and restroom is clean. I highly recommend them. read more

After checking in, I waited for 35 minutes at the Lithonia office before deciding to leave. I've been a patient of DentFirst (Perimeter location) since 2012, and it was always a positive experience (Tracy Hubbard is great). I assumed the Lithonia experience would be similar. The Lithonia reception team is friendly and attentive, but the dental staff apparently operate on a different time zone. Apparently, the Perimeter crowd deserves better treatment than the Lithonia crowd. read more

I brought my 3 kids here for exams and cleanings. Everyone from the receptionist to the hygienists and in between, were awesome. Carlos, the hygienist, left quite an impression with my girls. They left the dentist office still laughing at his jokes. My son ended up needing a follow up for a couple cavaties. I was given an estimate, which was very reasonable. Before my visit to the office, I was told they were in network. I looked at my insurance statement and guess what they were not in network. Now I have a bill for work that should have been covered . From my understanding the dentist that came in after my cleaning was done was not in network. Make sure the dentist you ask for is in network so you will not end up with a bill. read more

This review is for both the Lithonia and Jonesboro locations, since I regularly use each and there's significant crossover between the two. This place is really a mixed bag. On the plus side, it's pretty easy to get an appointment, and they always have time and space for emergencies. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful; I feel like they actually care about me as a human being and not just a number. They're also willing to work with you on payment options, and give you a clear estimate before starting any work. So why one star? A couple of reasons. The actual quality of the dental care varies greatly. I've had really excellent, first-rate experiences with doctors who take their time and explain everything. But I've also had a couple less than stellar experiences. The worst was when I got a filling. After the novacaine injection, my heart started racing and I felt dizzy. I told the doctor, but he did not seem concerned. He disappeared out of the room immediately after the filling, leaving me to google what was going wrong. Not exactly A+ dentistry there. They also tend to be chaotic and disorganized with scheduling and billing. On one occasion, a doctor called me to cancel my appointment not once, but twice, on the day of the appointment. And then they charged ME for the missed appointment! I was once overcharged for an appointment. Rather than refunding the money, they applied it as a credit to my account. So guess what happened when I got charged for the appointment the doctor canceled? Bingo. They took the money. Two months after my most recent visit, I've just received a bill for services I already paid for. Hugely disappointing. Dent1st could have had a customer for life, but their disorganization and the unpredictable quality of care means I won't be going back. read more

Laugh now Cry Later.... Literally. About 1 year ago I visited the Lithonia office. I was a first time and last time patient. I was given an estimate for services. Two different young ladies checked my insurance before I received services. (Im thinking Normal, better safe than sorry). I received a x-ray. I needed work done , so I was scheduled an appointment a month out for the procedure. I was given an estimate on what my insurance company would pay On the day of one of the two young ladies checked me in and ran my insurance again. The procedure went great. On the way out I had to pay my co-pay. I asked the young lady was there a problem because I've never had any one ask for my insurance over and over. She told everything was fine, if there was a problem to call me . No call ..assuming , but Everything wasn't. If I would have waited 2 weeks I would not have been stuck with a $1000 bill. After a year thus is the first call I received about billing. They called me for a cleaning last year that I cancelled. My advice to you is to CALL YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY to make sure they are covering your procedure. Dentfirst has my incorrect email address where they supposedly sent me information. If I could afford $1000 procedure. .I wouldn't need Insurance. Great thing about it is they want $100 a month to keep it from going to collections. I got the first "corporate call" today in 1 year. Sounds like "interest" to me. read more

I would have to say, as I'm sure most of us would, that being at the dentist is my least favorite place to be. But the staff at DentFirst at the Stone Crest location made my visit(s) a lot less stressful...nothing but smiles and professionalism! The receptionists, the hygienists, and dentists all seem to be genuinely pleasant, which I've found to be a rarity these days and especially in the medical field. I am glad you had a better experience Sari, I was not asked at any time if I was ok, I was pretty much ignored and talked over during this process, it left me numb three months later. I wish I had the same experience you did because I was looking forward to a great experience because the staff seems nice, but the doctor is terrible and very arrogant. read more
