This is a STRONG five star! My two year old daughter is incredibly shy and very strong willed. She doesn't like if strangers look at or talk to her, and she is very resistant to even the most charming of people. When I made the appointment here I said "I don't see a world where she's going to let you look in her mouth but we can certainly try". Boy, was I wrong! Walking in the colorful waiting room, with Despicable Me playing, immediately put my baby at ease. She watched the movie and enjoyed naming the colors of all of the chairs. When the hygienist called us back, her demeanor was so friendly and fun that my daughter thawed towards her more than she does most. She let my baby play with all of the tools we would be using which calmed her down and also made her less afraid of them once they were actually in use. When the dentist came out she was equally as friendly and informative, and had a relaxed nature that I really appreciated. My daughter let her, and the hygienist, do whatever they wanted! They were so quick and efficient, and seemed to appreciate that if they spent too much time on her my daughter would start a revolt. We were in and out in 20 minutes with nice, clean teeth! Dr.Hurd and her teaming are so amazing with my kiddos. The environment is friendly with toys and fun decor. They have stuffed animals that have a full set of teeth and the kids can practice brushing their teeth on them. The staff really gets on the kids levels when communicating with them. My children have been going to this dentist for a couple years. Every staff member is super friendly and make my children feel super comfortable. I read all the reviews I could find, and thought I was making a really good choice. I didn't want my child to be scared of the dentist so I chose a pediatric dentist (even out of network) to make sure it was the best experience possible. However, when my child got scared the staff got pushy. They threatened to have me leave to make my child do what they wanted. For the record there was no way I was leaving my child alone with people who actually thought this approach was going to work. The hygienist was annoyed and must have been new- because listening to the concerns of my child were not on the top of her list. I WILL NOT be going back with my child. So all of my efforts to make sure the first experience was a great one were worthless. If your child has never been to the dentist don't start here. My child now talks about how she cried and how scared she was and tells me she doesn't want to go back. Asking her to brush her teeth before bed is now a horrible experience because of our first trip to the dentist. If the dentist was the one actually cleaning her teeth- this may be a different story, but since you only see the dentist for a few moments we will not be returning to this office. read more

This place is absolutely amazing! My son has an enamel deficiency and has been through alot already at just 5 years old. How lucky are we to find a place that makes building a trusted relationship with him the first priority! Everyone here is great, but a big shout out to Dr. Sati and Ms. Beckie. I have been coming to see Dr. Autumn for over 10 years now and I have to drive over an hour to get to the office. She is absolutely worth it! I have been to numerous other dentists that are in my network but she far exceeds them all. If you are looking for a dentist that will teach your children about proper hygiene, make their experience fun, and make your child's needs a priority, this is the place to come. I have seen her make miracles happen. Children, including my own, that I thought it was not possible to treat, and she did. She can turn any scared child into a wonderful and comfortable dental patient with time. She makes me feel like she treats my child like her own. She always takes time to make him feel special and listens to his concerns. Not only is she phenomenal with children but she listens to my concerns as a parent and helps me to feel at ease and comfortable as well. The staff are great with kids and make the visit fun as well as educational. Dr. Autumn is nothing short of truly wonderful and just amazing at what she does . I have been in the waiting room and overheard the kindness and generosity that she has offered to other families. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Autumn Hurd. Moved to Colorado 4 1/2 years ago and I absolutely love the office. I now reside in Aurora, but do not mind making the trip to Littleton because of the great care my son receives here. The staff is pleasant. Dr. Khalsa and Dr. Paimagham are fantastic with my extremely inquisitive son, answering all of his many questions as well as explaining course of treatment with him. I appreciate this quality in them very much.. They do wonderful work and are gentle. I do agree with one of the reviews regarding the lack of privacy in discussing patient care. The staff often discusses the purpose of visits and dental health in open forum, which I find to be a problem. The examining area is very open which I like, however there should be a private space available for consultations to protect for patient privacy. Overall a wonderful dental office. read more

I don't like the staff coming out to the waiting room and speaking about mine or any other child's personal business in front of everyone else in the waiting room. The staff member was questioning me in front of several other families about a surgery that my son was supposed to have prior to the visit. Some privacy afforded to me during the conversation would have gone a very long way. HIPAA????? I finally had to ask the dental assistant to take me into a back room to discuss my sons personal business. She seemed put out. While I'm happy that they were not burning candles and incense on the day I was there. (like they usually do... And it gives me an asthma attack) The care of my child was fine perhaps, it was just all over so quickly, I wonder if they did anything. They were not successful in finding us a reasonably close oral surgeon for my son who needs his wisdom teeth removed. I don't feel they went the extra mile to find me someone else to send my son to so I had my son's orthodontist refer us somewhere else. Just not impressed at all. Won't be back. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! Dr. Autumn Hurd hides behind a staff of cheerleader assistants and a front desk staff that is trained to smile and wave as you leave. You will be led to believe your child needs half the work they are going to get, as you are politely told to wait in the front, "the children are less anxious this way". Unfortunately, they will do twice the amount of work with out any consultation, besides the consent form you signed in the beginning, and you will be expected of course not only to pay the remainder that day, but a few extra hundred that your insurance doesn't cover for the "specialty" services that Dr. Autumn Hurd does. The "specialty" service, is your child being half numb, a couple hours of tears, and the memory of 4 dental assistants and Dr. Autumn coming at them with every drill, sharp tool, and restraints they can put your child in without you being there to watch them do this. When my child needed to be seen during Christmas break, because one of her temporary filings came out, Dr. Autumn was of course on vacation. The on call service she had filling in for her was also on "vacation". DO NOT GO HERE. THE WORST PROFESSIONAL SERVICE I AND MY CHILD HAVE EVER ENDURED! read more

We recently moved to Littleton and brought my three year old with two broken front teeth to dentistry for Children. It is such a friendly, welcoming environment. Everything is colorful and open. The staff really understand kids at different developmental stages and levels. They also provided treatment to older kids and a child with disabilities, and I could tell that everyone got individual treatment. The staff make everything silly to help get the kids excited about teeth cleanings. Our first visit, Becky cleaned my daughters teeth and showed her all the tools beforehand, even let her play with them, so she would be comfortable. Then they giggled together for the entire cleaning, it was so much fun to watch. Dr. Autumn took xrays and gave me some realistic options for my daughters age. The last place we went to in Vermont made me feel like we didn't have any options so it was lovely and refreshing to feel heard. Our second visit Dr. Sati talked me through everything and put in two lovely fillings, while keeping my kid smiling and giggling. Best experience ever. read more

So overpriced! Cleanings not covered under any insurance! I went here because they have cute little kids stuff, but it was not worth it. For a cleaning under insurance (which is free at a normal dentists office), they charged me $100 per child! They said since they are specialists (have stickers, and talk in cute voices), they have to charge far more than what insurance will cover. It takes them far LESS time to clean my kids teeth than an adult! They also like to send bills after you have paid in the office, claiming they "forgot charges". They also charged me $55 for fluoride toothpaste to be used during the visit, which conveniently isn't covered by insurance. I found a great regular dentist which has stickers, toys, patience with kids etc, and insurance covers ALL of it. If you like $100 stickers, then go to this dentist. If not, go somewhere else. read more

Customer service lacks here!! I had multiple issues and ended up going back to my child's former dentist despite it being further away! I was told I was going to get an estimate on the work needed for my child-never was sent to me. I was told I was going to get a release form to have xrays sent to my child's former dentist-received two weeks after our other appointment with the former dentist, after the receptionist said she would send it right over since I told her I had made the appointment already! After all the talk of release of records request, no estimate sent over, still called me to confirm her appointment?!? Why?! Very difficult to get a hold of a person over there too-not much staff at front desk answering phones, was sent to voicemail multiple times! Would not recommend based on poor customer service! read more

great office for those parents with LOW EXPECTATIONS. the front office had our insurance info in advance and we came in early (as requested) with paperwork already completed, and they were STILL late getting us in for our appointment... even though we were absolutely the only patient there! the place was totally empty, so that was kind of a joke. oh, did i mention that i had to take my child out of school to be there on time??? yep. they were unapologetic and full of excuses when i pointed out that they were late for my appointment even though I had come in 15 minutes early, the receptionist thought she'd be clever and ask if i was on a time schedule... uh, hello?! are you?! SKIP THIS PLACE, which is totally overrated and go somewhere where your time and patronage are valued. it's definitely not here. read more

We drive all the way across town to take our daughters here and have no intention of stopping. We started when our oldest was 1and that was 5 years ago. We have three little girls that have started their first appointments at age 1 and go every 6 months. At first I think it's more about getting them used to the visit and what happens at the dentist. The staff definitely understands this and is kind and patient with our girls. They know how to work with kids to get them to cooperate and ease the fears some might have. We haven't met a staff member that we didn't love, especially Dr Hurd and Amy. We met a new Dr at our visit today and she was amazing. We would recommend them to anyone without hesitation. As for any reviews mentioning that their child is now afraid and doesn't want to brush, our experiences could not be more opposite. I credit the awesome experiences we've had there for why my kids enjoy brushing their teeth and are proud at every visit. Thank you Dentistry for Children! :) read more
