Just to back-track, we first got a consult with another provider in town..(way back when at the beginning of the process), and that provider and staff never used my son's name in the appointment. They just walked in and each separately said "hello". It is not hard to look first on the paperwork and see who you are greeting for the first time, especially when you want their business. That just kind of rubbed me the wrong way. Also, the main provider was dressed like a Louis Vuitton fashion show with everything flashy and high-end (shirt, etc). I love fashion as much as the next person, but I couldn't help but get the impression that my son would be more of a tool on how to get money for that providers' clothes, than a focus on care. So, in a nutshell, when we went to Brandon Linn's office, the initial appointment was very down to earth and personal, professional and kind. Forget trying to resolve anything with their office, they just threaten you about payments and taking you to collections. Don't believe the reviews, they are paid reviews. Dr. Ohmart's practice seems to be a model for how to run a medical business. Their office is…read moreclean, bright, and nice, with ample parking and a cool kid game area to keep young patients and siblings busy if they need to wait. I say "if" because my daughter is consistently disappointed that we never "get" to wait. Dr. Ohmart's staff is friendly and efficient and while I know all medical practices suffer back-ups occasionally we have yet to wait more than a minute or two (and more often we're shown back before our appointment time if we arrive early). I was pleasantly surprised to find our initial consultations and even xrays were free of charge. In fact, Dr. Ohmart sent my daughter to her usual dentist for needed extractions and then saw her back again a few months later before presenting a treatment plan. The plan was then very carefully described and multiple payment options offered. It seems each time we return they have a new, cool incentive program for young patients to keep them excited and compliant with whatever orthodontic process they are undergoing. I don't think any parent relishes the thought of putting their kids through braces, but Dr. Ohmart's practice has certainly taken the pain out of it for us.

I picked Holt Orthodontics based on proximity to my home and reviews. The staff at Holt are 5 star through and through. I met with a tech first who photographed and X-Rayed my teeth, then with Tina, who was so personable I ended up giggling through the whole appointment. She was fun and friendly while still remaining professional, and I really enjoyed my time chatting with her. Next, Dr. Gary Holt met with me and discussed the best treatment options for me, and Tina explained the cost of each to me in a way that was easy to understand. Dr. Gary is also really laid back and friendly, and totally puts you at ease. I imagine for kids and teens that getting braces could be scary, and this doctor will definitely leave them feeling comfortable and safe. I was advised, Dr. I has a network of colleagues across the United States and if I needed a replacement retainer I could go to one of them and receive a replacement. I asked up front the coast and it was free with the treatment. Contacted the office today for a retainer replacement was advised for $200. What a jerk just to get me in and take my money.
