I can't sing enough praise of my experience at Simple Smiles with Dr. Hoang. I was referred by a friend after a horrible experience at another Dental Office. Meeting Dr. Hoang is like meeting a friend you have known for years. She is warm, friendly and extremely thorough in her work. Every single detail was explained to me. I had such a clear understanding of what was going on and what was needed. After the initial consultation she confirmed I needed a root canal, I was able to schedule it a couple days out. The next morning I woke up with my face swollen. I reached out to Dr. Hoang and she responded right away. She got me in for the root canal within a few hours. I have severe anxiety and fear around dental work, a form of PTSD from past dentist. I was nervous walking in for my appointment, and instantly put at ease. Dr. Linda did my Root Canal. She was so gentle and kind. She did impeccable work, and was able to numb me so quickly - which has been difficult in the past. I put my headphones in as she went to work, and At some point I think I even fell asleep. The icing on the top- I don't have Dental Insurance so I was paying out of pocket. This practice saved me over $1500 from what I was quoted at the previous dental office for the same procedure. I will be telling everyone I know about how amazing this has been! Has the coolest, friendliest staff. I always feel well taken care of and in great hands. I recently had a cleaning and the hygienist (Amanda) was very charismatic, professional and set me on the right path. I also had 3 fillings and Dr. Huyen is the bomb! She always makes me feel right at home and really does such a great job. This last visit I actually caught up on some sleep while she worked her magic lol. Anyways, I recommend this team, hands down. One of the best dental offices in Denver hands down. I've never had an issue any of the times I have been seen for everything from a simple teeth cleaning or cavity fill to jawline botox and routine dental check ups / x-rays. The staff is very professional and charismatic in everything that they do. Each room also has tv's on the ceilings for clients to watch when they are getting dental work done, which is a huge plus in my books! You WANT to bring your kids and entire family here!! I took my 3 year old here for her first dental visit. Unfortunately, her first visit consisted of multiple cavities, two of which were pretty bad. I thought I would have to sedate her, because I didn't want her first visit to be traumatic. Dr. Hoang assured me it was not necessary and she was right! I later found out that Dr. Hoang has over 10 years under her belt in pediatric dentistry. Dr. Hoang and her staff was able to complete my daughter's new patient exam, cleaning and filled all 8 cavities in the same visit and it only took about 90 minutes. The best part was that my 3 year old had such a positive experience that she went to daycare the next day and bragged to her teachers that she went to the dentist and had 8 cavities. read more

After 3 visits, I will leave my honest review of this Dental Practice: The initial x-rays on the first appointment was a breeze because they have the latest technological equipment so it was very fast and easy without all the awkward rings in your mouth(old technology).The dentist and staff is very nice and the place is clean! The second appointment was absolutely terrible. Lexi, the dental hygienist was tasked with doing a deep cleaning on half of my mouth. The numbing shots were painful, along with the rough scraping she did. I've never had to have numbing shots for a deep clean in my 20+ years of seeing dentist across the nation. She only used the water and suction once through the entire hour of her scraping fast and ferociously. I had to swallow most of the nasty stuff. When she did grab the water and suction devices, she also held her sharp tools cluttered in her hands above my face and I was worried I might get poked in the eyes. She actually did drop something so that scared me even more. Afterwards, I had to keep spitting out blood for approximately an hour as my gums were still bleeding from her work. My mouth was numb for several hours and half my teeth were too sensitive to chew for another day or two. The third appointment, a week later, was a THOUSAND times better. I believe the dental hygienist was named Jenny who was tasked with deep cleaning the other half of my teeth. No shots were used, just numbing gel. I never had to spit out blood once. She always sat her tools down before grabbing the water and suction (which she did many times). She was very precise and meticulous while using her scraper tools. Overall, her work was top notch and she took good care of me. As I'm writing this several hours later, my mouth feels fine and I already ate lunch with no chewing issues! Besides the near traumatizing- first deep clean, I believe this practice deserves 5 stars. Lexi(dental hygienist) is not allowed to touch my teeth ever again though. read more

This may be one of the nicest decorated offices that accept Medicaid patients that you will find in the Denver Metro area! For that I am most grateful that fellow humans can feel dignity the minute they walk into this office. I do have two complaints, though. One time I set an appointment and due to a personal issue with an employee, Dr. Huyen Hoang refused to treat me during my appointed time due to an employee car share issue. None of the staff seemed to care about the commitment they had broken to me as their patient. They did not bother to reschedule me BEFORE I committed to being there on-time as their last appointment of the day when I am sure they knew about the possible employee issue that morning. I then had to reschedule which was very difficult due to my work schedule and distance I would have to travel. Also, one time Dr. Hoang stabbed a shot into my mouth and I hurt for two months afterwards. She must have damaged a nerve. I still question if she did this intentionally? She took no ownership or accountability of her mistake. The front desk staff wasn't even compassionate about my pain, only about protecting the doctor--of course to keep their own job. In conclusion, I would go to this clinic again, as long as I never was scheduled with Dr. Hoang. Unfortunately, there is high dentist turnover--at one time they had four (4) dentists. I personally believe Dr. Hoang may be there mostly for the money; I don't feel she is passionate about dentistry and her patients any more. I don't walk in her shoes, daily, in the tough field as a dentist tha, in general, has a very high suicide rate, yet, I would hope she might soul search and consider taking a new direction in life, even if she has to go to school again, so that patients do not have to suffer needlessly, and without compassion. Patients deserve empathy at the least. read more
