I never see the same hygienists in the office and I've never had the same hygienist working with me more than once. I don't like that. It seems like a revolving door. Im always on time for my appointments, but frequently left waiting 10-15 minutes. I called with a potential dental emergency and was just completely ignored. I called and left a voicemail on a Friday, describing symptoms and pain, hoping to get a call back Monday morning. That call never came, so I called Monday afternoon, again describing my symptoms and my concern. I was told I would be called right back. 2 hours later, 3:00pm I called again, asked to send a picture and was told the same thing. 2 hours later, is now 5:00pm and they close at 6:00pm. So I called again and my call was ignored. 5:30pm I call again and was ignored. Tuesday morning they open at 8:00am, and I have waited until 10:30am. Nobody has contacted me. I call and my call was ignored. Nobody at a dentist office seemed interested in a potential dental emergency. I had to go to another dentist, go through the new patient intake and I was told I have an infection and that it is an emergency. This office has violated my trust and I have no confidence in them. I'm very disappointed and hurt. Physically and emotionally. It's not worth feeling abused and literally being neglected.

In outdoor lighting it was even more noticeable and honestly embarrassing. We agreed to have him redo them and also veneer the two side teeth. During the process, while he was grinding the side teeth, he actually knicked a small chunk out of one of my existing veneers. On top of that, the lab kept producing veneers that looked completely unnatural and did not match my teeth at all. At this point I lost trust in the entire process and decided to go somewhere else. I did not even receive a refund for the damaged veneer, and they refused to offer any type of partial refund even though the work was never completed and the original issue was never corrected. He also did a very poor job explaining the process and I still do not understand why he did not properly block the gray the first time when that was the entire reason I went there. I strongly advise avoiding this office for veneers. Dr. Henes is not a professional cosmetic dentist and the work left my teeth looking worse than when I started.

I had dental work done at this place, specifically a crown and a root canal. My tooth still hurts and bleeds easily, and I'm in a every day pain and Im not able to eat for that side. I went couple weeks ago so they can check and correct the problem, and their response was that they wouldn't do anything because nothing looked wrong. They left me dealing with the pain and irritation; their only solution was to alter the neighboring tooth just to close the gap caused by the crown. In my view, it was completely unprofessional, and they made me feel like I didn't matter to them. Plus I pay out of pocket and they say sorry go somewhere else and fix it because the doctor that did my route canal no longer works there so no body is responsible, Im not rich and I have to deal with bad work in my mouth.

We met at a continuing ed course in Southern California (yes, those thrilling weekend getaways where we learn about root canals and try to stay awake after lunch). For a year, we treated a guy in his 30s who'd lost more than a few teeth. And during that time, I realized something: Scott is that guy. The one who's calm under pressure, insanely smart, and actually listens--to both patients and colleagues. He's the kind of dentist who somehow explains complex stuff without sounding like a robot or a YouTube tutorial. Oh--and he used to teach at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine. I'm not saying the course instructor was bad, but let's just say Scott was the one dropping the real gems. Look, Scott's not the bargain-bin option. And thank goodness--because you don't want a discount pilot or a budget surgeon, right? Same goes for teeth.
