Blue star called me and gave me a quote for $360, he explained that most businesses use the camera recalibration as an excuse to up charge and that he wouldn't be disconnecting any wires when replacing my windshield. I was a bit skeptical at first, I was worried I would have to go get my camera recalibrated. (I have a 2022 Honda Accord). It's been 2 and a half weeks since I had it replaced and I've had no issues, camera still works just as good! I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a cheaper alternative than giving your money to the dealerships. I found Tony's after looking online for the best car tint shops in the area - especially those who…read morespecialize in working on Tesla vehicles, and they were easily the top result. Tony and his wife Lisa were who we spoke with and who worked on our Model 3 (2021). Tony himself was the actual installer and to say he went "above and beyond" is an understatement. First off, they were able to get us a great deal for the top-of-the-line XPEL XR Plus tint on all glass surfaces. This meant they did all the windows, the glass roof, even the windshield itself - apparently they are able to put an almost clear layer so it doesn't impact visibility that also still manages to block out a TON of heat. Second, when they first checked over the vehicle, they found a handful of flaws I had not seen (we had just gotten the vehicle only days before deciding we wanted to get tint installed before the summer really kicked off), and showed us before ever getting started to put us at ease with how they were going to handle the vehicle and let us know up front of any issues they found. Third, when Tony got to work, he actually noted that at some point some of the paneling had been hastily re-set into place, and was not correctly re-installed... so he took it upon himself to properly correct the issue, bending fasteners that were not correctly attached into their intended positions... meaning when they gave us the car back, not only was the tint installed perfectly, but the car was technically in even better shape than when we picked it up directly from Tesla's own shop in Dallas since now all the internal panels had been fastened as designed from the factory itself! They even registered the warranty for the XPEL tint so we didn't have to worry about any sort of future coverage should any issues occur with the film itself. In the past, I've gone with other tinters and I've had issues come up years later with peeling, cracking, and tearing, but I have a feeling that this is not going to be happening with Tony's work. I don't think we'll be going anywhere else but Tony's from now on. Now we just need to get a time where we can be without the vehicle for a few more days so we can get PPF + Ceramic coating installed on the body. In summary, if you want your vehicle tint installed professionally by some hard-working honest folks who know their craft really well and care about quality - go see Tony and his wife Lisa.

As I use a sunshade, I opted for the 4 doors + back window + panoramic roof, but have the option to add the windshield later if needed. I know nothing about car tint. Jason was wonderful, and explained the differences. I ended up going with the Pinnacle. The windows are legally tinted but nice and dark. The ceramic coating officially keeps 93% of the heat and UV rays out of the car, making this a VERY COOL RIDE! The job took 3-4 hours. The wait was less than 2 weeks to get in here. The value was fantastic, and these guys did a great job! PS. I will be back for the windshield soon! I can now tell the difference, and wish I would have done it with the rest of the car!! 5 STARS!!

If I could give him ZERO STARS I would!!…read more The original job was to replace my windshield that was severely cracked. He offered two options: dealership glass and after market. I asked what the difference is and he said only the stamp in the corner. I chose the after market because he said "I'd be very happy with it." Immediately after he replaced my windshield, I got an alert saying that my forward camera needed to be recalibrated. I messaged him asking about it and he said he didn't unplug my camera, etc. and then offered no support. The dealership said it would be $300 to recalibrate which I couldn't afford at the time. Well, I finally brought my car in because I can't get my annual safety & emissions renewal without the recalibration and they said that it's not the camera, it's the windshield itself. It's not compatible with my car's cameras because of some special gel that's required in the glass that acts as a filter. Therefore, I need to replace the ENTIRE windshield again plus the recalibration which will cost $1500!! All because of this business's negligence and misguidance. I reached out and explained everything to them and they didn't even have the decency to respond. Filed a complaint with Yelp but because this business isn't a part of the Yelp Guarantee Program, there's nothing they can do. Plus I paid in cash so my bank can't assist. AVOID THIS SCAM OF A COMPANY!! Edit: of course he responds after receiving a bad review, but only to insinuate it's my fault and calling me a procrastinator? Since I can't respond to a review reply, here's what I messaged him: Oh now you respond because you got a bad review? This has nothing to do with me having to wait because I couldn't afford to get the recalibration done. Mazda quoted my $275 for the recalibration itself but it has nothing to do with the camera. Even if they attempted to recalibrate, the glass is not compatible with these cameras, which you should have known. They said without the required gel and the clarity issues with this after market glass, it wouldn't be possible without a complete replacement with Mazda glass (whether I do it with them or third party). They even showed me on the glass you replaced how the gel was done improperly. So you can take your poor customer service and terrible work ethic and enjoy my rightfully bad review!
