I've been seeing Dr. Tetrault and Dr. Maus for a few years now to treat my glaucoma. It has always been a 5 star experience from the front desk staff and pleasant waiting room to the staff that does my initial intake and testing for the appointment and then the time with the doctors for more testing and discussion of my status. Both doctors are just tremendously upbeat and I believe genuinely concerned about my eye health. They're actually fun to be around and I feel that I'm getting top expert care, treatment and advice. I've dealt with glaucoma for 40 years and due to moving a lot have had many health care systems and doctors. These two are certainly among the very best of all. Recommend them very highly. read more

Yelp removed my first review for lack of detail so I'll do it again. Denver Eye Surgeons is no longer their name. They are now Panorama Eye Care, LLC. ​However, they do not tell you this when you make an appt or check in. They sent an email to their portal with the new name, but it did not say DBA or give any indication they changed hands. I thought it was spam. Upon arriving at her appt., my elderly mother (80) forgot her ID/Ins cards. They refused to look her up in the system and told us we had to go home and come back with them. I asked to speak to the practice manager who helped us before, but a different person told us she didn't work there now. Then I learned her appt was with an optometrist not an ophthalmologist. (DES only had ophthalmologists, except in the glasses dept previously.) She has CML so she needs a dr trained in ophthalmology. It was not communicated she was scheduled with an optometrist when I made the appt on the phone. Dr. Maus was her ophthalmologist, but he's gone, too. Her Retina Specialist is leaving in August. Get the picture? Panorama Eye Care, LLC took over the practice, but it's not disclosing it to the public or previous patients. This is a deceptive practice known as bait and switch. It is illegal and I've filed a complaint with COAG. read more

I was a patient at this clinic for over 10 years. I have very bad astigmatism and eye sight. Dr. Tetrault was amazing at monitoring and treating my eyes and never once made me feel bad for having "bad eye sight". Thom was amazing at my contact exams and finding me the right fit I enjoyed the office very much. This year, they no longer accept vision insurance and I do not feel like their team was very prepared to assist their patients with this change. I have spoken to finance people multiple times to attempt get records to submit out of network to my vision insurance. The finance lady does not follow up and is rude like she can't be bothered. The new guy in the vision area could give 2 f*cks about you and is happy to tell you "just take your prescription anywhere and have it filled". He can't be bothered. I am so frustrated because I had an exam and my eyes take a long time to adjust back after having them dilated. It's a whole day event that I need transportation from. The team has provided me nothing in terms of codes or exam notes to provide to my insurance for coverage after I continue to ask, So, now, I likely have to have another exam with a new doctor/office in network to get anywhere and finally get contact lenses. Sounds like a similar theme to other long time patients. With this new set of doctors (4 prior have retired, including mine), I would avoid this practice. Eye exam went from $80 to $250. Eyeglasses (no brand name) were north of $600. They make all the excuses in the world why your costs went up. Feels like money hungry, young doctors looking to cash in on established customers. I have been a patient here for several years and have had hiccups with their billing practices. I have both a vision insurance plan and medical insurance. They can't seem to understand that my medical insurance will not cover refraction exams and when it's denied they bill me. When asked why they didn't submit the refraction exam to my vision insurance they claim that they cannot bill both my medical and my vision insurance for the same day of treatment. They also refuse to schedule an appointment before a year has passed even though my vision insurance will cover one exam a year no matter when my last appointment was. Fast forward to today: my appointment was scheduled for 10:40, I checked in at 10:30 and even though I completed the paperwork online I still had to fill out forms when I arrived. After waiting for 45 minutes, I decided to leave and will probably not return. read more

This business has serious communication issues. I have used this business for many years, however my last experience there was ridiculous. I am having some unexplained vision issues so here thinking they could help. There were no answers for me because I needed more thorough care, however this was not discussed with me. It was if I was not there as the Dr. discussed my plan with her, in front of me, but not to me. I was then told to go the the front desk. A little more was explained to me there? I felt like a Spector that obviously would not understand what was being discussed therefore I was dismissed. About a month later my husband went for a vision test, made an appointment, went to appointment, and then when checking in the receptionist told him they no longer provided this service and they had told him that? This is the only eye Doctors that I have ever gone to since 5th grade when I started wearing glasses. Now at the age of 68 when I called to schedule an appointment I was told that there is a $80.00 charge for a copy of the prescription if I didn't purchase the glasses at their office. I had cataract surgery this past summer. My vision is 10 times worse. I don't know what to do other than cry!

A family member recently had cataract surgery here. 1. Ascertaining the appointment time was like a game of Whack a Mole. The patient portal gave one time; text messaging gave a second; phone messaging gave a third. As a result, patient and caregivers had a difficult time coordinating their schedules. 2. Calling to verify a correct appointment resulted in an annoyed "How should I know what the portal says?" and an equally annoyed "I can't do that; you'll have to call later." This happened more than once over 4 appointments. 3. Of 4 appointments, 1 started on time. The remainder, including the surgery, were delayed by 1-3 hours, for reasons known only to the practice. We arrived on time for a 1 PM appointment (not the surgery), and left at 5:30, long after closing. Individual staff members were attentive, and the surgery was done well. But there is nothing else to say about this experience. read more

The annual exams for eye health are great but this year the billing dept has become terrible. The doctor marked my visit as medical and it clearly was not but trying to get help with the billing code error or support documents to collaborate the charge has been impossible to obtain. I have never had this problem with any eye doctor and to be ignored and read a script has soured this office for me. I mentioned my situation to a friend, and it turns out that they too had issues with billing. They finally gave up and paid the bill. That is not right. Be sure you find out what code they charged before you check-out. I feel this would have solved my problem before it even started. read more

I've been going to Denver Eye Surgeons because their team includes top-notch MDs in ophthalmology. A few years ago, I knew cataract surgery was likely in my future, so I started doing my research early. I looked into their cataract specialists and found Dr. Eugenia White, MD, whose expertise really stood out. I made an appointment with her, and over time, built complete trust in her judgment and skill. When the time came for surgery, both Dr. White and I agreed it was time. She carefully explained the entire process to me, and I felt confident moving forward. What really impressed me was that she even called me personally to clarify one of the procedures--above and beyond service that meant a lot to me. I was a bit nervous going into the first eye surgery, but hearing Dr. White's calm, reassuring voice in the operating room put me completely at ease. Everything went perfectly. The procedure was quick, just like others had told me, and the improvement in my vision has been remarkable. I'm in the later phases of life, and I feel grateful knowing Dr. White will be my ophthalmologist moving forward. I highly recommend her. Watch out for Surprise billing practices from Denver Eye Surgeons. After paying my co-pay for an appointment, I was billed an additional $85 for an "extra" vision test. I was not told ahead of time that this vision test would be an extra charge and not covered by my insurance. I asked the manager of the billing department to call me so we could discuss the bill. That was three weeks ago and I never received a call but I did receive another past due bill. I had a brain tumor that was pressing on my optical nerves so what is not covered by my vision insurance would surely be covered under my medical insurance. They claim they won't bill both and that I have to figure it out with my insurance company. Poor customer service from billing and the wait times for the exam have always been very long. read more

I have been going there for many years with good results until recently. iI there ever was a case for hiring a qualified office manager and staff, this is it. In trying to schedule a basic eye exam, it took me nearly 3 weeks to get an appointment scheduled since every time I would call, they would tell me the computer system was down--seriously, it was for 3 weeks straight. Once I finally got an appointment, I arrived on time only to be told that their computers were still down and the doctor had already left for the day... I had to reschedule once their computers were up. Well, that only took another week. This morning, I received a call that my appointment later today is cancelled due to the doctor being sick. Don't waste your time with this place. Did I mention that the whole reason I needed to see them again was that their prescription was not as clear as my old glasses? These people canceled my surgery, and kept almost $400 of my money which they refuse to give back. The pre-op was appointment was a disaster and wasted 2 hours of my time. The day they canceled my surgery they said I'd be getting a full refund. It's been 8 months of "working" with their billing department. Now they say they will not be giving me any more of my money back. They won't give me an invoice either. They will not return my calls. read more

It's been more than a year since we last had contact from them. No reminders and no schedulers calling to set up my left eye cataract surgery. The out-of-network glasses they sold me fell apart and scratched like no other pair in the past 60 years! I use scotch tape to hold them on and they were not even an upgrade based on a three-visit eye exam! Poor communication and all about the money. I am very surprised at the amount of negative reviews for this practice. I noticed that a fair amount of them were unhappy they were out of network...it is our responsibility as consumers to verify that doctors and practices are in our network which just takes a phone call to your insurance. This will be my second visit to Dr. Noguchi, was very happy last year with all correspondence and services. He offered me 3 different treatments for my issue and I chose the eye drops that treated my inflamed chalazion. I called today with a new stye/chalazion under my other eyelid and absolutely loved the woman I spoke with regarding my issue Angela. She listened, understood I have done the warm compresses and eye drops with some but not all resolution. We discussed continuing compresses and I was able to get into Dr. Noguchi for this coming Monday. Other practices in Denver quoted months long waits as they make their money for cosmetic procedures .... read more

Kaiser is shunting most of the eye care to Denver Eye Surgeons. They have appointments going months out with no call backs...First appt. was in August but they never called for the next one. After five weeks I called back and the receptionist or appointment lady was very rude on the phone and demanded why I was calling. I said for another appointment., She blamed me for not calling sooner, and besides, they were hacked recently and their phones and computers were down. You can't even find what they hacked since the phones were down. I believe Kaiser has dumped a lot of patients on Denver Eye Surgeons and they just can't handle the influx. I am finding another service and another major health service as well, since Kaiser isn't meeting my needs. read more

Their Better Business Bureau rating is a D-. That's because when someone files a complaint they do not try and work things out. They just ignore the complaint and don't even respond! My wife went in for her annual eye exam. She wears a single contact and has for years. This year she was charged an additional $60 plus her co-pay because she wears a contact. The contact was not in during the exam and the exam had nothing to do with her contact. She complained and the doctor agreed she should not be charged. But the billing department ignored all that information and would not issue a refund. read more

It is apparent that the CEO/Panorama Eye Care is trying to make it into a cataract surgery factory. Since this practice was sold this summer (2024) about half of the staff has left and they don't have enough staff left to handle the many patients that are not aware that their Dr. has left. Now, the wait for completing a scheduled appointment is extremely long. As a result of lost staff the billing department does not answer their phone and asks for you to leave a message telling you that it might take 3 days to return a call. On the 4th day I called again and got the same message. Up until when the practice was sold I had nothing but great satisfaction with my Dr., their service and their billing department. read more

I was at the eye center just today and was greeted by Tribeca who did a medical release on me. Tribeca was intelligent, experienced, friendly and as sweet as apple pie. I loved that she talked with me about things we both saw eye to eye on. There needs to be more great women like her in the medical field. I really appreciated her. I was placed on a bed and was getting nervous. I only had 2 hours sleep and was dreading getting an IV, The last time at another doctors office it took 3 painful tries just to get a mediocre flowing IV. Along came Natalie, she lowered the bed and next thing you know she was taping down my IV. I gave her high praise for her painless insertion so that was a relief. Once in front of Dr, Kumar all I heard was for me to stop wiggling my feet and the next thing you know I'm walking out to my wife thanking the staff for their professionalism. Dr. Kumar and I met a few weeks prior and he expertly gave me options and during the course of our consult I trusted him and he really was highly professional and he took care of business..Thanks team! read more

I have been going to Denver Eye Surgeons for at least 30 years. I had Lasik surgery, and cataract surgery performed by Dr Stahl, who was also my regular ophthalmologist. In all of them that time​ I have been very happy with my care. But I just had an appointment today at 10:30, with a new doctor, and waited for an hour before I left. While I was waiting many people were called back and left. All them having arrived after me. I'm sorry, but my time is just as important as anyone else's. Show up, they prescribed glasses that had bad RX for on it, I called them to assist and weekly they say, "schedule is not up please call again for a recheck." 3-4 weeks now I have not been able to get a recheck. I have been waiting for over 2 weeks just to get on the surgery list. Claims of short staff and computer down for the last two weeks. I have called dozens of time to all their phone numbers I don't know how they are in business if they cant schedule anyone. When I was there the staff and doctors were great. Running out of time to get my surgery done due to insurance. Other surgeons can get take care of me in a week or two. I booked with the office receptionist a cataracts consult 4 weeks out. They day of my appointment, I received a text for payment for the consult. I called because I wasn't told that there would be a charge for the consult. The receptionist answered and I asked if they charge a consult fee. She said, "Well it's not free." in a very nasty tone. I replied I wasn't told about it when I called in. She said I don't tell you because I don't know what the consult fee's are. I said," well it would have been nice to know ahead of time". She asked if I wanted to cancel just matter of fact. I did cancel since she was so rude. I said. "Yes, since I am not getting off to a good start with you. I will cancel. "Very poor treatment by her. I am going to another office in which I asked about the consult fee and they don't have one. The receptionist was very nice, friendly and professional. The Doctor's should hire a customer friendly receptionist. She is costing you patients and money. She is very rude and not friendly. Horrible person for that job. It didn't matter to her if I came for the consult or not obviously. I was referred by 2 friends who had surgery done there. It's a shame but I don't want to deal with the receptionist, and she is the first person you meet when you go to an office. There is no reason to put up with rude people. There are many eye surgeons with great reputations out there with nice and friendly receptionists!! read more

Spouse had cataract surgery 2 years ago and same thing, it was easier to drive down to get an answer than attempt to contact by phone. You can select the option for a callback which you may or may not get. Looking at other options, think the best option would be to schedule with Kaiser. read more

We came to have an issue with my sons eye checked out. They were efficient and friendly. We waited for about 10 minutes before being called back for our appointment which felt like a reasonable wait for this type of business. The staff who were involved all were kind and seemed knowledgable and competent. They explained what was happening each step and made sure my son was involved in his care. Overall I think this is a good place if you have issues that go beyond the normal annual eye exam. The doctors are prompt and they know what they are doing. It's not a trip to the spa and definitely feels like a minimal frills type place but that's okay with me. I'll take efficient knowledgable care over anything else with this type of place. It's my understanding they also do offer normal eye exams and there is even a glasses/contacts store within the same office but we didn't experience that part so have no opinion about it. read more

I have told her numerous times to bill my medical insurance and each time it's a fight. Not sure why it's a fight with her but it has been for years. We were referred by Kaiser for cataract surgery which has not been easy. If you are a Kaiser patient I would strongly recommend waiting until Kaiser can do your surgery even if its way down the road. Had great difficult with a scheduler who was very entitled and had no professional approach to your job. It was extremely hard getting our appts set. Zero coordination between the clinic and Kaiser. We were then told we could find our dates on the website we were encouraged to sign up for. typing in our identifying info we were told time and time we were not in the system. We had to work hard just to get our dates - they were not emailed. Now we receive a very difficult DocuSign document which asked most of the information we had just completed at DenverEyeSurgeons in the waiting room on our first visit. I found their office via my insurance, and it's very well run professional medical office. I have glaucoma and the doctor that has been treating me for the years I've been in the area retired - I can't think of anything in life more important your eyes and I would not be satisfied for anything less the best possible care. Both visits, I got in earlier than my appointment, never a wait, and the young staff that handles the preliminary tests and QA session are top notch, friendly and truly professional. I may end up getting another laser surgery or, medication as things progress but I have total faith that I'll get the best possible care at this office. read more

Cataract surgery Dr. Jan Stahl has no desire to answer questions about surgery or lens options. Non-medical employees are more likely to answer questions than Stahl is. This Center runs on a factory model; each employee has a different function and almost all are in a rush. Yet they didn't call me back for days; sometimes never. Waiting for surgery, I was stuffed into a small room with 8 or 10 patients for 3 hours. Everything is for the center's convenience, not the patient's. I drank no water for 16 hours. Patients are treated like numbers. I had a problem with the new lenses. Doctor said to return in 3 months if it was not better. I did not know that after 3 months, Medicare does not see it as a follow-up to the surgery. I was charged for the correcting procedure. He described the correction in one sentence, saying he'd drill holes with a laser; he never told me that it had a specific name. I was so scared. My friends advised me to get a second opinion at a different practice. I did and the kind doctor there explained in detail what the procedure is. I advise you to choose a different surgeon or a different center. I would never recommend Jan Stahl. read more
