Denver Flood and Fire was a pleasure to work with during a very stressful time for us. After the flood, I called them and they answered right away. That sort of responsiveness continued throughout our engagement. Joey explained everything very well and we always knew what to expect. They did what they said they would do always. They went above and beyond every step of the way. The work was well done of course too. I highly recommend calling them if you ever have the need! read more

Denver Flood & Fire were extremely helpful to me when I had water damage in my house. Joey came over less than 24hrs after it happened, on a Saturday morning no less, to take moisture readings, give a rough estimate of work that needed doing, and just generally answer any questions I had while I was freaked out as a new homeowner. We would have loved to hire them if our insurance hadn't gotten in the way. I highly recommend Joey & his team to anyone who needs help with water damage. read more

We are elderly and needed help with a flood, Joey & Deb we're wonderful. They took the time to patiently answer all of our questions and worked with our insurance company who stated they did a great job. Thank you for your patience & professionalism. read more

5 stars really? I am with the lady with one star. 24 hrs open my ass. Called and never returned my call. That is not good for the type of business they are doing read more

Joey has saved us multiple times after major water incidents. Most recently, after the contractor leading our bathroom renovation flooded multiple floors of our house, Joey moved his entire schedule around to take on a fairly complex remediation effort. He worked with us and the lead contractor, who was very resistant to taking the proper steps to deal with the damage, to make sure every wet piece of material was out of our home, and scheduled all post-remediation testing. He is reliable, communicative and trustworthy. I recommend him to everyone I know. His work cannot be beat. read more

Denver Flood & Fire have saved my home and my wallet, twice now! The first time, I had basement damage due to a sewage back up. A plumbing company told me I would need to have the entire sewer line replaced for ~$20K. Denver Flood & Fire removed the damaged flooring & paneling and performed some mitigation to make sure I would not experience any residual effects from the damage. AND, they recommended a plumbing company for me to get a second opinion from. The recommended plumbing company solved the problem without replacing the sewer line at a fraction of the cost. These guys literally saved me thousands of dollars. The second time, I was getting my home refinanced. A particularly inept appraiser thought my shower had mold. The entire refi came to a grinding halt when that appraisal came in. If I cancelled the refi, I still had to pay $500 for the appraisal. Denver Flood & Fire came in and performed a serum test to show the mortgage company that there was no mold present, so the refi could move forward. This time they saved me hundreds of dollars in having to walk away from the refi. These guys are just a wonderful company to work with and they genuinely take the time to understand the whole problem and offer you options to meet your needs and budget. In fact, during the last storm, when a friend's basement had flooded, Denver Flood & Fire was the ONLY company to even return her call. Top of my recommendation list! read more

I unfortunately had to call Denver Flood and Fire right before the holidays when my house had a multi-floor flood. They answered my call early on a Sunday morning and came to the rescue right away. We had damage from the water which we are still fixing, but Denver Flood and Fire made sure we stopped the damage and got it under control immediately so it would not get any worse. They were excellent at working with our insurance company as well. read more

Our water heater broke and it leaked under our floating floors. Denver flood and fire came the a few hours later and did an amazing job. They took the time to explain to us exactly what we need to do step by step. They were knowledgable, professional and friendly. Great service for a great price. read more

Due to water damage, we needed to have our drywall fixed. Since we had no idea what to expect, we had 3 companies come out to give us a quote. Joey of DFF was hands down the most professional and was the only one who actually took time to explain the likely scenarios of what needed to be done. It was very comforting to know these guys actually cared about what you were experiencing and understand that most people have no idea what they are dealing with. Although our situation was not extremely stressful, I can only imagine that when dealing with a catastrophic event, DFF would be able to put you at ease and take care of everything promptly and professionally. read more

Super responsive and gets the job done quickly! They even worked directly with my homeowners insurance, so that was one thing I didn't have a worry about. HUGE plus in my book! I HIGHLY recommended Joey and his team! read more

I own a flooring company in the Denver metro area. Occasionally I run into a situation where a floor is water damaged with possible mold and subfloor damage and requires a mitigation company to access. I always call Joey Hermann and Denver Flood and Fire. He is the best in the business. Joey is an expert in assessing the extent of the damage, safe removal of the damaged material, appropriate treatment to remove any dangerous or noxious aftereffects. He communicates so completely with the customer and they are kept informed all thru the process. Can't recommend them enough. read more

Joey and his guys were fantastic! We had a major mold issue in our bathroom. Joey explained the problem and gave us several remediation options. He took care of the problem in a timely manner at a very fair price. He did what he said he would and charged me exactly what he quoted. Highly recommend! read more

. The owner, Joey, is extremely professional- his integrity is outstanding- I would hire them again in a heartbeat. I had a small condo that had hidden mold under the entire bathroom floor, tub, and parts of my kitchen. It is totally taken care of, thanks to Joey and his crew. -estimate emailed same day as call-even said what time it would be there. -very good at explaining the work that will be done- shows you exactly what issues are uncovered and what law or code it violates and how it should be properly done. Great communication. Thorough knowledge. -tries to actively save you money and extra cost and upfront about 'this might have to be done, but we're hoping to NOT to have to pull out the (tub, cabinet, subfloor etc...)' And nearly every time they do get it done without having to do those extra things. -returns calls and texts in minutes -say they will be there at 0900 and you get a text at 0820 that they are on their way. At the door on schedule, time and time again, every day. Joey himself is working on your project. -need a drywaller, plumber? He's got a big network and calls them right away. When my job got bigger than planned, we needed an asbestos test to continue: one phone call and the asbestos test was done in a matter of hours, same day, and results the next morning. His contact there does inspections for the city. Need a plumber to get past this one thing during the job? He's on the phone and I had one in the next morning. I hope this helps- I don't get a thing for the recommendation; I think it's hard to find GREAT people, and this is one of them. read more

In December we had a flood in the lower floor of our home. First I turned the water off and then I called Denver Flood and Fire immediately. They were here in 40 minutes to look at the situation. They referred me to a reliable colleague because their crews were taking care of other emergencies...making my best interest a priority over just trying to get the job. There first priority was to help me no matter what. During the whole process, they were there to help answer questions. I had questions about dealing with the insurance company and they offer suggestions. It made a terrible situation better. I would use them again in a heartbeat. read more

I know 30 other business & home owners that have referred Denver Flood & Fire to me.... Yes.. I have heard of them often and always great service & so professional. They really care. They are who I call for any emergency. Even before my insurance company because they can help you with that too. read more

After calling a few flood damage companies recommended by my insurance agent - not one of which could make it out, either at all or any earlier than two weeks out! - I hoped on Yelp and called DFF. I loved them before I even hung up the phone... the woman I spoke with (whose name escapes me as I write this - my apologies!) was very patient, understanding and helpful and within days, DFF was at my house to inspect the damage. I have nothing but good things to say about my experience - they were prompt, attentive, knowledgeable, helpful, respectful of my home and my time! I learned so much about my home and before DFF left, I also had referrals for several options we had discussed about what I might do next, I learned a ton about dealing with the insurance company (that information alone was invaluable!), I had peace of mind that the damage was minimal, and to boot, they didn't even charge me - not for their time, not for the water testing they performed, not for the "other areas in my basement that since your here, would you mind taking a look at?", not for the referrals - not a dime and I would have gladly paid for all of it. This company is in my Go To file for home repairs, without a doubt. I cannot thank them enough for their services. read more

We have used Joey and his crew for a number of our water damage issues. As the owner of a property management company, my relationship with a restoration guy is extremely important. This winter was particularly bad with frozen pipes and the flooding that occurred in the late fall. Joey handled each job with complete professionalism. They were quick to tend to the job (a must), they were thorough in the clean up (a must), and they were extremely flexible and reasonable to deal with when it came to money (pretty much a must). On the few claims that were insurance losses, they did a great job to work with the insurance companies and on the ones that were out of pocket expenses, they helped us navigate the job so that it was done in the most cost effective manner. I definitely recommend Denver Flood and Fire and trust them with all of our work. read more

I can't recommend Joey at Denver Fire & Flood enough. I had mold growing in an antique built-in furniture fixture due to a leak from my drainage pipe outside the home. At first I was worried I would have to take out the entire fixture... But Joey very carefully removed all the mold and applied a coating that makes the fixture look like normal. He was knowledgeable, patient at answering all my questions, personable and friendly, and extremely conscientious. For issues caused by water damage, I would never go anywhere else! read more

I just had Denver Flood and Fire remove some moldy drywall and treat the foundation walls behind and around it to remove any mold spores. From my initial meeting with Joey, I felt assured. He answered my questions and addressed my concerns patiently and was completely transparent about the whole process throughout. He was competent and efficient, on time, easy to get a hold of...just made the whole process very simple. And his price was very reasonable, compared to the other bids I received. Another thing I liked was that he uses a commercial-grade but non-toxic product. Other companies were looking to treat the problem with Microban, which I was uncomfortable with. read more
