Joey has saved us multiple times after major water incidents. Most recently, after the contractor leading our bathroom renovation flooded multiple floors of our house, Joey moved his entire schedule around to take on a fairly complex remediation effort. He worked with us and the lead contractor, who was very resistant to taking the proper steps to deal with the damage, to make sure every wet piece of material was out of our home, and scheduled all post-remediation testing. Denver Flood & Fire have saved my home and my wallet, twice now! The first time, I had basement damage due to a sewage back up. A plumbing company told me I would need to have the entire sewer line replaced for ~$20K. Denver Flood & Fire removed the damaged flooring & paneling and performed some mitigation to make sure I would not experience any residual effects from the damage. AND, they recommended a plumbing company for me to get a second opinion from. The recommended plumbing company solved the problem without replacing the sewer line at a fraction of the cost. These guys literally saved me thousands of dollars. The second time, I was getting my home refinanced. A particularly inept appraiser thought my shower had mold. The entire refi came to a grinding halt when that appraisal came in. If I cancelled the refi, I still had to pay $500 for the appraisal. Denver Flood & Fire came in and performed a serum test to show the mortgage company that there was no mold present, so the refi could move forward. This time they saved me hundreds of dollars in having to walk away from the refi. These guys are just a wonderful company to work with and they genuinely take the time to understand the whole problem and offer you options to meet your needs and budget. I had a small condo that had hidden mold under the entire bathroom floor, tub, and parts of my kitchen. It is totally taken care of, thanks to Joey and his crew. -estimate emailed same day as call-even said what time it would be there. -very good at explaining the work that will be done- shows you exactly what issues are uncovered and what law or code it violates and how it should be properly done. Great communication. Thorough knowledge. -tries to actively save you money and extra cost and upfront about 'this might have to be done, but we're hoping to NOT to have to pull out the (tub, cabinet, subfloor etc...)' And nearly every time they do get it done without having to do those extra things. -returns calls and texts in minutes -say they will be there at 0900 and you get a text at 0820 that they are on their way. At the door on schedule, time and time again, every day. Joey himself is working on your project. -need a drywaller, plumber? He's got a big network and calls them right away. When my job got bigger than planned, we needed an asbestos test to continue: one phone call and the asbestos test was done in a matter of hours, same day, and results the next morning. His contact there does inspections for the city. Need a plumber to get past this one thing during the job? He's on the phone and I had one in the next morning. After calling a few flood damage companies recommended by my insurance agent - not one of which could make it out, either at all or any earlier than two weeks out! - I hoped on Yelp and called DFF. We have used Joey and his crew for a number of our water damage issues. As the owner of a property management company, my relationship with a restoration guy is extremely important. This winter was particularly bad with frozen pipes and the flooding that occurred in the late fall. Joey handled each job with complete professionalism. I can't recommend Joey at Denver Fire & Flood enough. I had mold growing in an antique built-in furniture fixture due to a leak from my drainage pipe outside the home. At first I was worried I would have to take out the entire fixture... But Joey very carefully removed all the mold and applied a coating that makes the fixture look like normal.
