We absolutely love Denver International Schoolhouse and truly feel like they are an extension of our family. From day one, we've had complete peace of mind knowing our child is in such a caring, nurturing environment. Our daughter has never once seemed unhappy--in fact, she asks to go to school every day so she can see Mama Carmen, her infant teacher, who we absolutely adore. She has made such a lasting impact on our family. Every single staff member we've interacted with has been amazing. The director is incredibly kind, responsive, and always keeps us updated in a timely manner. Ms. Jaime, the owner, is phenomenal and clearly pours so much into creating a high-quality environment for the children. What truly stands out is how much our daughter has learned. At just 2 years old, she speaks both Spanish and English, knows all her colors, can count to 20 in both languages, and communicates so well. We cannot recommend DIS enough. We started our first child in the P2 classroom in January 2024 (now in P3) and our second child in the P2 classroom in November 2025. The owner is wonderful, always immediately responsive to any questions and they host intermittent parent education nights (such as for options going into kindergarten). We chose DIS specifically due to the cognitive benefits of bilingualism, but it has been great in so many other ways as well. The teachers are kind and caring with very little turnover compared to other childcare establishments--both of my children love their teachers and can't wait to run in and give them hugs every day. My newly 5 year old is reading already because of the literacy work they do in school. The building is pristinely clean with many age-appropriate materials in each classroom. They also have special art classes which my children love, as well as daily time outdoors in their play area. In the 2+ years we have been there, I have always felt confident in the health and safety of my children while at school. I recommend DIS to everyone I know in this area who is considering a childcare center. read more

We've been with DIS for almost 3 years now, and our experience has been nothing short of fantastic. Our daughter started in their P2 classroom and completed her immersion program before transitioning to Kindergarten. We also enrolled our son at DIS when he was just 6 months old, and he recently celebrated his 3rd birthday. We have absolutely loved this school. Being bilingual is a gift we want to give our kids, and it's astounding how much they have learned. Both of our kids' language and comprehension abilities are far above others their age, and I give 100% credit to the school for this incredible achievement. The teachers at DIS have been extremely caring and thoughtful with our kiddos, providing a nurturing environment that fosters growth and learning. Whenever we encountered any issues, the owner and the director were quick to resolve them, demonstrating their commitment to the well-being of the children and the satisfaction of the parents. We are continuing our language journey with our kiddos and are immensely thankful to DIS for giving our kids such an amazing start to their education. We have been so happy with DIS. We have kids in both the P1 and P2 classrooms. My eldest requires additional help and the teachers were so enthusiastic about incorporating strategies to help him engage in the classroom more with his teachers and his peers. We feel so blessed to be a part of this community and unlike other centers my children have been at there has been almost no teacher turnover. I cannot recommend this daycare enough! My child requires a feeding pump and various therapies and they did not even hesitate to accept him. They take extra care with the babies and treat him as if he were their own. We were so nervous about finding a daycare for our baby and now we have seen him excel beyond our wildest dreams. I cannot begin to describe how much our family loves and appreciates DIS. We feel so lucky to have found such a safe and loving space for our son. At DIS I know our son is well cared for and he is continuing to grow and learn daily. The school is clean and the administration team is fantastic - always providing proactive and clear communcation. We love the spanish immersion aspect too, but even more than that, our son is taught manners, kindness and we know that he is meeting milestones. Our son started in the infant classroom and I can safely say that the hardest part will be saying goodbye to the sweet teachers and friends at DIS. 10/10!!! read more

Excellent school to take your children! DIS has a unique program in the area, it is a bilingual preschool, it has a variety of activities for all its classrooms, all in a dynamic, interactive and fun way. I will start by stating that the reviews below are old and inaccurate. If you are looking for a preschool that gives your child a positive start to school and learning, this is not the right school. When I went to get information from this school I was promised quality and they never lived up to the standards that they promised. Tuition for 4 days is $1260 a month which I am more than happy to pay with the expectation that my son would be receiving high quality education. I soon realized this was not the case. I had multiple incidents at this school, one where my son was sent home without underwear. Another where my son was not served his lunch. A child scratched my son, and I was told nothing until I complained that there was no report made to me about the incident. Once my son moved to the P3 classroom more problems began, my son was constantly blamed for being a bad influence on the other children and not behaving up to their standards. These claims were incredibly out of character for my son and I became suspicious of the integrity of the school. My son started to develop anxiety at the thought of going to school, I would try to pack him his favorite snacks to which he would reply "NOOO! Teacher said not snacks!!!" in a scared manner. I had no proof that my son was being mistreated so I blindly kept sending him to this school. Finally, one day I came in and my son ran to me excited that I was there to pick him up and he tried to show me what he had done that day at school. Immediately the P3 teacher began yelling at my child to not run. At this point I understood why she didn't want him to run, I didn't understand the yelling but I'm very reasonable and understand she doesn't want kids to get hurt. What she did next is what made me pull my child out of this school. She turned around and ridiculed my son in-front of the whole class using him as an example saying "See I already told him not to run twice. I don't want anyone to run like he, did that is bad". I saw the shame in my sons face, and if she was willing to do this in-front of me, I don't know how else she may have been shaming my son and making him feel like he was a "bad" child for normal child behaviors. All of my son's behavior immediately made sense. All the self shaming he was doing at home and all of the anxiety from him at the thought of going to school all made sense. She was conditioning my son into thinking he was a "bad" kid for regular child behaviors. I tried to speak to the teacher about her reaction to my son running to hug me at the end of class. She treated me with a derisive attitude, while brushing off my concerns. She tried to condescendingly convince me that I didn't know my son, and that he was "bad" and that's why he couldn't make friends. I was in shock at how little care she took for my concerns. I explained to her that in any professional setting "employees" are taken in private to discuss poor behavior or any concerns their boss may have.. this is with ADULTS. Why would she express her concerns with my child in front of the whole class? We don't shame adults in the workplace this way.. my 4 year old who is still developing emotional skills and confidence should not be shamed this way either. The next day I tried to speak with the director and I soon realized she didn't have an answer for me when she tried to justify the teacher's unprofessional behavior. I will add that for the amount of money being paid in tuition I was later informed by a previous teacher that the teachers here are underpaid. Which explains why they leave all the time and change all the time. I was left under the impression that they don't even get paid the tuition of ONE child per month. This tells me that the director/owner of this school is incredibly money hungry for the amount of activities offered at this school not enough of the money being made is being invested back into the education of the children. This was a wasted eight months and over 10k. If you want your child to have a positive start in education don't send them here. read more

DIS has been my daughter's preschool home and family since she was 18 months old. We have appreciated the environment, the wonderful staff and everything she has learned in her time there. It has been such a gift to have a place where we feel so comfortable with her care and the education she receives. Thank you DIS! read more
