I was helped my Trent, who was kind, knowledgeable, patient and helpful. There were so many choices and Trent helped me narrow it down. There was currently a Memorial Day sale, which helped a little. Beware! "Clearance" means "Used"! I purchased a mattress that was on clearance and saved some money. At no point did anyone tell us that it was going to be used...after it was delivered, luckily my wife saw a small tag on it that said it was used. When we went back to the store, they were absolutely no help. "Of course it means used". The store manager made it seems like it was our fault for not knowing. Well, maybe if you work in the mattress industry it's common knowledge... Was that information on the receipt? Nowhere to be found. They must have "forgotten" to mention that. How many people have bought used mattresses without knowing? When I buy ANYTHING else in this country, clearance means it's on sale. Buyer beware. read more

Every element of my experience with Denver Mattress in Aurora was negative. I should have known in the beginning, when Sam, one of the management team first helped me. He was showing me mattresses when another customer walked in. He excused himself, for what I believed to be a moment to greet another customer, whom he proceeded to help from start to finish. I waited a half hour to make my purchase. No one else offered to help. Despite this bad start, I wanted to complete my purchase. The order was supposed to be delivered on this coming Monday. I instructed Sam that the delivery person would need to contact the leasing office of my apartment. Sam had originally offered a Sunday delivery, but I told him that the leasing office was closed. I was informed by the warehouse that my delivery would be between 8 and 10. The leasing office does not open until 9. When I tried to fix this, I was informed that the warehouse could not change delivery times. I called Sam at the store for assistance but he could do nothing for me. When I asked to cancel the order he suggested a different day but could not guarantee the time would be any different. I told him to cancel the order but he said he couldn't refund my money because the mattress was already on the truck. Not once was he willing to do anything to complete the sale for me. I will be contacting his store manager, Liv, to complain about Sam's poor service. I suggest you not shop at this store, and if you do, don't ask for Sam. read more

We purchased a mattress about 2 weeks ago. Vince was very helpful and patient with our indecisiveness. I thought my bed was a California King. When it was delivered today, turns out our bed is a regular King. Our bedroom was torn apart and furniture moved. My husband and I drove to the store and Matthew listened to our dilemma. Fortunately there was a King set in their warehouse. The warehouse manager and Matthew, who's a sales associate, loaded up their truck and re/delivered the correct mattress and base a couple of hours later. The salespeople were great at answering questions, but scheduling the delivery process wasn't the easiest. I had to wait to get it a bit longer than I really wanted to. The purchasing experience was phenomenal. Our salesman was very knowledgeable and attentive but not at all pushy or hovering. It was like he gave us space to wander and try different beds. I visited the store four separate times, spending over 45 mins there each time. As I have bought THREE mattresses in the past year from 3 other stores in the Denver area, (and been very disappointed in the quality and service in them), I was a tough customer to please. Tim did a 'test' on my arm while I laid on different mattresses to see which mattress suited me best. This was THE clincher for the sale. Tim directed me to two mattresses. On each return visit ( I live in downtown Denver, so this was a big commitment of time & gas to keep coming back) I just put my headphones in & rested on the two contenders. Thank you, Tim, for leaving me alone! Really, this salesman just greeted me - by name- each time, asked if I had any questions, and let me nap happily. SO different from the high pressure tactics at Mattress Firm! The mattress set was delivered yesterday by 2 sweet guys who showed up right when they said they would, and they left so fast I had to run after them with a tip. I was contacted by Denver Mattress and I can't begin to say how pleased I am. The manager told me they would swap my mattress out. It isn't just the fact that they will swap my mattress. It's the fact that they want their customers to be satisfied, whether they write a review or not. In a time when prices are going up and there is no regard for the customer, the Denver Mattress company is different. They went out of their way to make sure I was satisfied and help me. It would have been so easy for these guys to get a five star review from me but their business process is fundamentally flawed. My wife and I bought a mattress with adjustable base. We didn't go cheap, with all the accessories we spent just under $12,000. Like all when you buy at the other mattress stores we have the ability to use the mattress for 90 days and swap it if we don't like it. In order to take advantage of this we have to buy a mattress protector and use it from the start. seems reasonable. Again, we didn't go cheap, we went with the best one they had. They didn't have it in the store so they said they would mail it. The bed wasn't coming for several weeks so no big deal. Today I got an automated call giving me a window for the delivery tomorrow and I realized the protector never showed up. When I called the store they quickly determined it was input incorrectly and shipped to the store instead of my house. OK, mistakes happen. They said they could ship it out from the warehouse via FedEx but I wouldn't have it for tomorrow night. I said well, when they are picking up the mattress, pick the protector up and bring it with them when they deliver the rest of the order. They said no, there wouldn't be room on the truck. I asked if they have one in the store and they said yes, and I am welcome to stop what I am doing and come pick it up. My only other option is to "just be ver careful not to get the mattress dirty while I wait for the FedEx delivery to arrive". Sooooooo, I write a big check and they promise to deliver, we both agree they screw up but the only two possible fixes are my problem! I can use the mattress at my risk or I can figure out how to go back to the store to pick up the product that they promised to deliver. Why couldn't they deliver it to me? Why can't they send a runner tonight or tomorrow morning? Why can't they pick up the product at the same warehouse while they are picking up the mattress and base? Because they would rather inconvenience me instead of inconveniencing themselves. I think if you make the mistake you fix it! Obviously Denver Mattress doesn't think that. Just recently ordered a mattress from them and gave them a 2 week runway to have it shipped up from Pueblo CO. Less than 24 hours before the scheduled delivery they called to tell me they weren't delivering because they didn't have it from the manufacturers warehouse???? Called them back and stated that the mattress was supposed to be coming up their other store and was told that was a false statement. Sorry...but if you can't follow through on your commitments I'm not interested in doing business. There are no big differences between mattress stores...only customer service. read more

When I went into the Parker and Quincy store, I had asked for an eight-inch thick mattress, and he told me they didn't have one in the store. He told me all he had was a ten-inch mattress and that it was at their Warehouse 14 miles away. I decided to get the ten-inch one and drive to their Warehouse. When I got there, they did not have my mattress. I asked if they had an eight-inch one, and they said, "Yes, but it is at the Parker and Quincy store. I had to return to the Parker and Quincy store to get the mattress I had originally asked for!!!!! All so he could get a higher sales quota!!! I ended up purchasing my mattress from Denver Mattress because of customer service, price and location. The fellow that assisted me was gracious and knowledgeable. I also didn't find him to use high pressure sales tactics, which is great because that's a sure fire way to get me out of your store and spending money elsewhere. I've only had the mattress about a month, but it's wonderful. I also received a follow up call to ensure that I was satisfied. I also decided to spend the extra $130 or so for two pillows, pillow covers and a fitted sheet cover. Expensive, but the pillows are totally worth it. And I'd like to keep the mattress in good condition which their special pillow top should help with. I would do business with them again. I didn't give them five stars because selection could have been better, but I understand they only have so much room. read more

I normally do not do reviews, but I feel I must do a review of Denver Mattress in Aurora off Parker Rd. and Quincy. I worked with Drew Mittelsteadt and Steve Owens the Assistant Manager. Drew was excellent and showed me a tremendous Doctors Choice bed that was very reasonable and it came with a 15 year warranty! You even get 14 days to try it out and if not fully satisfied you can return it or exchange for another bed - this is really unheard of in the mattress industry. I also needed the bed and box springs that same day due to my wife having a friend come to stay with us for a week, Steve Owens not only searched in his computer system to find me the box spring for my mattress but he actually gave me a much better quality queen box spring that was about $150 more than the one I purchased, it was pouring rain that evening and Steve in his very professional attire with a tie and everything late at night around 7:40 pm he went to the back to grab me the box spring mattress and in the pouring down rain helped loaded it on top of my car and tie it down! This is stellar customer service at it very finest in my opinion and both employees should be considered tremendous employees and assets to Denver Mattress! I will always shop at this store location for all my bed and furniture needs! You can tell the management team at this location does a fabulous job training and hiring the best staff that really do care about the customers and their needs! A rarity in this day and age! OMG, I'll never buy another mattress anywhere else. We bought the knock off tempur pedic about 5 years ago and 1 year ago it developed a slight sag on one side. It just wasn't bouncing back after a nights sleep. It came with a15 year warranty but you know we figured it would be some BS when we got to actually addressing it. We called and they said "take pictures" and come down. So we did. We talk to the first salesman who approaches, he sits us down, brings up our account, we tell him the exact issue, he says you need photos, I say "I got you, here ya go". He looks at them and says "you spent $1500, so go ahead and pick any mattress you want that is that price or less and we'll straight swap it out". I couldn't believe it. We got a great Simmons orthopedic spring bed in extra firm coming on Wednesday. Didn't cost us one cent! This was a great experience and I give them a lot of credit for making it easy. Wonderful selection, prices to fit any budget, knowledgeable salesman. Ask for Drew! He was great, no pressure, listened to what we liked and disliked about prior mattresses and gave good recommendations. The "innards" of mattresses have changed a lot in the last 12 years, and he explained things well (pocketed coils, foam, gel, etc.). Lots of comfy mattresses to choose from, and we narrowed it down to two. But then we went back and forth between a king bed with an adjustable base or a split king with adjustable bases (that's 2 xl twins put together). We finally went with the best of both worlds... the split king because later on if you want, you can join the bases and synchronize them to make a regular sized king bed. The split king is awesome! Each side has its own controls for reclining, zero gravity, massage, foot elevation (gotta have that for an upcoming ankle tendon surgery-- boohoo). And the new mattresses we chose are wonderful. Great lumbar support, not hot even on these 99 degree summer days. We chose the beautyrest black Katarina luxury firm. It says it's firm, but it's more like a soft, comfy firm due to the cushioning on the top layers. The other mattress we considered was the Natasha. Very nice, but we thought it might be a bit too soft, and it cost more. Drew recommended the lower priced one since we liked a bit firmer feel, and he was right. Very comfy! Btw... We tried 3 other stores first, and all were uncomfortably high pressure with higher prices and not near as good a selection. If you need a new bed, Denver Mattress is a friendly place to shop. Excellent products, and nice people to do business with. read more
