The Delivery of the Queen Mattress was done the following day on Monday May 12th 2014. In the transaction, they agreed to take the OLD Queen Mattress from our house, and everything was a breeze. While I am happy with the product, I was extremely dissatisfied with the customer service I recieved here, which was shocking, due to the positive reviews I had read beforehand. I ordered the mattress and was told it would make it here in three days and that they would call me to set up a delivery time. No one called, I had to call THEM to set it up. Delivery day comes around and I've waited around all day, it's 30m before the delivery window closes, so I give Sean (the owner) a call. He calls me back telling me he has no idea where my mattress is or when it will arrive, in other words, it's been "lost"? Why wouldn't I have heard about this earlier? So, I'm still calm at this point, although irritated because I've been the one having to hound about the mattress and...now it's lost. It takes over a week for our mattress to get to the store...10 days actually. I've been sleeping on a blow up mattress this entire time. AGAIN, I have to keep calling Sean to figure out what is going on with the location of the mattress. He finally offers to bring me a queen mattress version of the mattress I had ordered, because I was about to cancel my order. Then, one of his guys tries to get me to sign a document stating that I am recieving the KING I ordered...not happening. So my mattress arrives (apparently) and I only find out because I have, once again, had to reach out to him. He wants to deliver it at his convenience, without much warning, "how about in 30 minutes?" How about no. This whole time the only information I recieved about my mattress and its whereabouts were by having to find out on my own. The whole time the owner was so non chalant about the whole thing, had no sense of urgency, was unapologetic, and to make things even worse, he offered to refund my delivery fee...and then BIG surprise, I had to REMIND him. When you own a business the most important aspect of your job is providing customer service. This was absolutely horrendous. Take your money some place else, it's not worth the risk.

I purchased a Nectar mattress from Denver city furniture in late March and was given a delivery…read morewindow of Thursday, April 2 through Sunday, April 5. As such I took Thursday, April 2 off from work to make sure that I was available to receive my order in person once I was notified of the actual day of delivery which they never did. That Thursday I contacted Denver City Furniture to find out the status of the delivery of the mattress to my new location where I was moving. They contacted the shipper, presumably FedEx and they were notified that the mattress had been dropped off on Wednesday, April 1. This means that I took a day of PTO for no reason and my mattress was sitting outside possibly available for porch pirates and I was none the wiser. In attempting to get compensated for the monetary equivalent to my loss of a PTO day, I was given a $100 credit to the store which basically covers one goddamn pillow. Despite my frequent pleas for compensation that at the very least matched the monetary equivalent to my lost day of personal time off, I was stonewalled. This is a slap in the face and the message being sent is that my time my frustration and their lack of ability to effectively communicate logistics is only worth less than half of a day pay for me that I am now out. Suffice to say Ashley furniture, and Denver city furniture will not be getting any additional business from me. To be fair, Mark, the sales guy was a peach. Unfortunately though they'll never get my business again and I will be reporting Ashley furniture to the Better Business Bureau because they suck balls. Of course I contacted Ashley corporate and they were zero help and told me I needed to contact city furniture for any help with this. So in predictable form, one entity is pointing fingers at another entity, saying they need to take care of it. Meaning it's a vortex of lousy service.

The delivery fee is a big outrageous and maybe should be zoned for distance. A few month out and we are happy with our decision. AFW can fit a budget. I've purchased furniture from them over the years that was great and some that was not so great. I just recommend you make several trips and make sure you arent impulse buying. Measure!!! Doors, floor space. Don't go by eye, your in a space with no walls and high ceilings. Things look way smaller in the showroom. Nothing worse than buying something you love and it just doesnt fit in your space or through the door!
