He did a great job of showing us a few things, then hung back and let us narrow it down to a few choices. We went back to him with questions and he was full up on the product knowledge, protection plans, and options for custom fabrics and pillows. Went back in a couple weeks later with flooring choices to match with the couch we selected, and Tevis had been tracking our order and had an update on when it would be delivered. It was one of the best and easiest buying experience I have ever had in 70 years. The downside to all this was the delivery, I received a call from a gentleman at Walkers furniture, inquiring if I wanted my furniture delivered the next day, I readily agreed, he went on to explain that I would receive a call between 1700hrs and 2100hrs that night with a delivery time. Well that never happened, so the next day I called Walker furniture and was informed by my salesperson that in fact it was scheduled to be delivered that afternoon, they ended up delivering it early, so all turned out well. The delivery team informed me that they had been receiving complaints all morning from other customers stating they also had not received a call the night before. So, the bottom line is I personally hold people accountable for their actions and telling me they are going to do something and don't. Overall, I highly recommend Walker Furniture and their staff, especially are extremely courteous and professional salesperson she is the epitome of everything a salesperson should be so kudos to her. Now that we have moved on to the home delivery service portion, it has been nothing but a nightmare. You will pick a day for your furniture to be delivered. However, they fail to mention all the "fine print." You cannot pick the time of when your furniture can come to your home. You will get an automated call two days before to give you a three hour window in which the trucker's route is in your city. If that time doesn't work you have to pick a completely different day, get called two days before for a new three hour window, & the process continues. Basically you could get your delivery time pushed out for weeks if are unable to be flexible to THEIR schedule. The region includes Tri-Cities, Grandview, Prosser, and Yakima - why can't the route be condensed to better accommodate customers? I called the store for more assistance multiple times for options & they have no control in helping the situation. The manager never called me as I expressed my concerns very politely to an associate over the phone. The customer service once you leave the store is extremely disappointing! Even as I'm typing this, I want to cancel the order from all the headache. We will be going to visit other small business furniture stores to make moving into a new home a much more personable experience!
