Plus there was some guy selling ice cream basically right next to where you enter the business, so I grabbed some ice cream from him, and it was exactly what I needed after hauling scrap metal on a hot day all the way down to downtown Denver! read more

Probably some of the worst and most unprofessional customer service I have ever experienced. The lady that answered the phone attempted to quote #2 insulated copper more than #1 Bare. When asking for clarification on the price the lady proceeded to use foul language and hang up on me. I would go to Atlas Metal or Rocky Mountain Recycling and get your moneys worth. Been going here since they were located off of 58th and I-25. I can't ever remember a time when I had a problem. Never allowed myself to get taken advantage of as so many people seem to complain about. I take steel, tin, cast iron etc, laptops/cell phones and car batteries... PERIOD! Tried to get the owner to come close to what I get elsewhere for copper, brass etc. But he couldn't and I'm totally fine with that! Always friendly and the hours are freaking awesome. I agree the chick that runs the scale (there are a couple of them) they are always smiling, happy and helpful! You can't help but leave with a good attitude after that. Give them a raise. I recommend this place to EVERYONE I know. They don't deserve a bad review just because of a handful of ignorant people. Their attitude is way better than where I take my copper ,aluminum and brass. Has to be one of the best places, as far as convinance and working hours are concerned. My only complaint with these guys are they don't separate the different types of ferrous metals and you get paid the same for clean cast rotors as you would for scrap appliances which screws you out of quite a bit of money. They also don't pay as much for non ferrous metals as some of the other companies do. read more

I have been going here for years. I like the hours of operation, it makes it easier, I am aware they pay a bit less then other places but it is convenient, and I do this to recycle, not for the money, trying to teach my kid that natural resources will not last for ever. I give 2 stars for the number of employees that are super stars !!!!! (1) The Biker Lady that runs the scale in the trailer is extremely nice and friendly and always makes me smile, she should be in charge, she knows how to treat people. She should be given a raise. (2) The Gentleman that is tall has glasses and wears an english hat that runs the scale in the trailer is also great, friendly, and always trying to help, goes beyond the call of duty. He should be given a raise. Now for the reason they really do not deserve any stars. The short white guy that normally is in the non - ferrous side, we all have nick named him "Mr. Slow with an attitude"!!!! He is rude, He is racist, He is a thief. Beware if you do not speak very good english he will rip you off and talk to other customers about you. He likes to throw tantrums, throwing buckets around and then laughing about it because someone else has to pick it up. We waited for over an hour in line on Saturday, was only 3 people ahead of us but he decided it was more important to try and flirt with one of the female employees instead of take care of the customers. He also finds a reason not to pay for #1 anything, everything is always called dirty to him, maybe he gets a bonus for steeling from people. This Saturday also noticed after leaving I was not even paid for the bucket of #1 wire he zeroed it out, but kept the wire. Then we have his manager. Which does not want to be bothered and will not talk to the customer. Mr. Slow with an attitude and I had an argument about #1 copper verse #2 copper and the "Manager" did not even look at the material or talk to me he just agrees with Mr. Slow with an attitude. Both these employees should be fired. We have been told they cause a lot of problems and have had lots of complaints. But they are still there. I guess finding cheap uneducated labor is hard to come by. I am currently looking for another place to go to recycle. read more

This is by far best place to take your scrape metal. Had to take small non ferris metal to a man name Jeff. He help me through the entire visist to get the most for the metal I had. Very friendly and professional. This is where I recommend people to go from now on. read more

this place sucks. anybody giving this place a good review is a complete idiot or they dont know nothing about scrap prices. the guys working the non-ferrous scale are either crooks or total morons. luckily for me , i have been scrapping metal since i was a kid so they were not able to rip me off even though they tried. i took all my wire to another yard and got $200 more than what this place was paying. i hope they go out of business very soon read more

Great place to recycle your ferrous scrap metal. Great people, great HOURS. Having been to several recycling yards in the area, they by far pay the LEAST for non-ferrous so call around or be prepared when you get about 25% less than anywhere else, but the plus side is that they are open when those other yards that pay more are closed. Before I even checked around, someone that worked there actually told me they pay the least in Denver for copper and aluminum. That said I still occasionally sell them my non-ferrous if it's piled up. I am almost always happy to sell my ferrous to them. Sometimes they offer free fuel to their preferred sellers. Anyone that writes a review for this place and uses double negatives might not know what they are talking about. Anyone that doesn't call around first before just heading to any random scrapyard isn't a very good scrapper no matter how long they have been doing it, or they need the $$ for illegal substances and are peeved when they don't get a fortune for that tiny bucket of aluminum breakage. read more

I called on Monday (7/25/16) and on Friday (7/28/16) and a woman with their company quoted me at $1.30 per pound for #2 copper wire. She went on to define copper wire as "anything at least as big as Christmas light wire." She then gave me their business' address to confirm that I had the correct place and told me they open at 8 on Saturdays. I came in today (7/30/16) to exchange my copper wire and they only gave me $0.30 per pound and didn't tell me that they were giving me that price until after I had exchanged it. When I asked for my wire back they told me, "No, all sales are final." When I complained to the lady at the cashier desk she said I was lying, that they never give quotes over the phone, and that I had to take what they were offering because they wouldn't give my wire back. I feel like I've been lied to over the phone, cheated and then called a liar to my face. I could have gotten over twice what they forced me to take at other recycling places, but I didn't have that opportunity because they tricked me into bringing my wire here and then stole it from me and forced me to take next to nothing for it. This is a horrible way to run a business, and I will make sure to tell everyone that I know who would ever recycle any metal to never bring their business here. I know I will never be bringing my business back. read more
