Guy does not know what he is doing. Beware. Paid over $7k for new hvac and never worked. Then ghosted me.

Ryan installed a new HVAC system at my house in 2023 (~$15k job). A year later the unit was not cooling or heating my house properly. He refused to come out and look into it and told me it was normal for my house to not heat or cool to the desired temperature. A different company came out to look into it and immediately found that a valve on the unit was leaking and had also been glued on rather than properly brazed. This cost me thousands of dollars to repair. I also lost the warranty on the unit because of the improper installation of the valve. I reported this to the BBB in an effort to resolve it and get my money back for something that Ryan was responsible for... he denied everything. I then filed a small claim in court and he did not show up to any of the hearings. Do not use this company, Ryan has no integrity and is very hard to track down if necessary. Sad for me to do this here. But I don't want other people to make the same mistake I made with them. Ryan was very responsive and nice In the beginning. They came and gave us a quick quote and did the job well - so I thought. The HVAC system heat and cold they installed didn't work properly... they were nice about coming to fix it for a few times. Then the problem continued and they gave up saying they didn't know how to fix the problem from there :( We ended up hiring other people to finish the job they started. But by the time it got fixed the system has so much rust and water damage. ALSO, they performed the work without pulling the permit... after 4 years later I'm trying to sell the house I had to ask Ryan to get the permit so I can sell this house with a proper documents. We have called, emailed, texted. NOTHING. THEY JUST IGNORED ALL. So yeah, don't hire them. There are other people that do the job much better. read more

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. Over a year ago we had them install 3 LC mini split units. After they were installed, they would break every few days. We had to constantly have someone come back out to fix. Ryan, then stopped answering our phone calls. We spoke to his father who was very very rude and hung up on us. No one in the company was helpful or found the problem. $7000 later, we just brought in another company who has to do the entire thing over!!! They are very unprofessional and unreliable. They installed 3 Mitsubishi split system heat/ac units spent $7,000 and have had issues for the past year since they installed them. I asked Ryan to have his crew come by to fix the units since the system crashed and neither the units or motherboard were responding to the remotes....he told me to get an electrician it's a power issue...so I did, the electrician said there's power and it is likely due to a leak from installation. I told him this along with stating that my units are under warranty as I called Mitsubishi to verify since Ryan was not responding after one week of reaching out. After stating this he wrote me a novel, was very rude and ended with "because I like your boyfriends father I'll come by".....reached out weeks following and NOTHING, he stopped responding and never came by to fix the problem. So now I've wasted $7,000 and have to call a different company to fix the problem they created and pay a different company. They are not so "dependable". I would not recommend this company. Response to your response: I stated that I had the electrician stop by and corrected myself stating that my uncle the electrician called his HVAC friend when my uncle was the ONLY one here....HVAc guy NEVER came by/touched the equipment so my warranty would not be an issue....something that I was never informed of prior to the recommendation of "getting a good electrician" to take a look. A lot easier to text and say "they came by" didn't think it would be an issue and once I clarified that the HVAc guy didn't touch the equipment you still didn't believe your paying customer. Also- no one came by.....your crew came over saw a car in the drive way and left? What about calling the customer like most companies do when servicing? Also- you never said you were coming out of surgery out of state...your address on google is Weymouth. Here are the pictures for evidence. Let me start by saying that Ryan and his team are very professional and he aims to please, which he did, they did an outstanding job from beginning to end and the price I got was better than the 2 estimates I got from other companies, we had a Bosch Heat Pump installed in our Condo, let me just say it is night and day from the old one, it kept the place very cool during July/August and it is now doing the same with warmth as the weather is getting cool, Ryan is a pleasure to deal with and he knows his stuff, I would recommend him in a heart beat. I called them in need. It was a hot August week and my compressor died. They came within a few hours and diagnosed the issue and determine the system I had was inadequate for my home. They made their recommendations and had my new system up in running within a few days, as we needed for the parts to arrive. Will definitely use them again. read more

This is a follow up on my early reviews and Ryan's BS comments. My credit card company gave me the money back and they will go after Dependable Air Solutions to get it from his bank. HomeAdvisor's will no longer have him on their site because of all of this. He burned that bridge. I used COASTAL HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONING to repair all the things Dependable did wrong and install a real Hyper Heat system. In addition, ​HOMANS ASSOCIATES were the distributor that Ryan tried to say made the heat pump error. They did not! In addition, ​they were very supportive and helpful to me without violating any of Ryan's rights as the person who purchased the heat pump and not the hyper heat pump. I will be adding pictures of the new install, and you can see the difference. No more exposed lines, no dangerous wires, upstairs air handler installed the correct distance away from the hyper heat compressor. The list just goes on and on. read more

Ryan and his team were fantastic from start to finish. We moved into a new house and discovered the hvac system needed to be replaced. Ryan and his team are very friendly, professional, and responsive. Our furnace was randomly shutting off and Ryan gave my wife and I several options for the best way to proceed. We ended up going with a Bosch heat pump. He did not ever pressure us but was more than willing to answer all of our questions. Over the past few weeks, we have texted him at all hours of the day, and he has always been quick to respond and offer advice, even if the end result won't be extra money in his pocket. Out of all of the contractors we have worked with since buying a new house, Ryan has been the most kind, patient, and knowledgeable. Even if something, such as mice interferes with the project, the team will do whatever it takes to get the system installed correctly.
