I had contacted Duct Man in the evening and Lance got back to me the following morning. He was actually able to come the very same day. I had contacted him because I was getting an odor that I thought may have been coming from my dryer vent hose. It hadn't been cleaned in a couple of years and I was concerned that there was some kind of critter in there or a dryer sheet that might have become scorched. Lance and his partner arrived right on time, actually, earlier than expected, which was great. They inspected the front and the back of my house for any signs of animal entry. Fortunately, they didn't see any. Lance had pulled out the dryer and discovered that the dryer vent hose was ripped. He was able to repair it and replaced the plastic dryer vent coupling wit h a metal one. Lance's partner then inspected the dryer vent hose to see if there were any obstructions and then proceeded to completely clean all of the two year accumulation of lint. They were very professional, thorough, courteous, friendly and very reasonably priced. I did not think that it was possible that I could be so happy about having a super-clean dryer vent, ....BUT I AM! Lance from Duct Man did an amazing job cleaning my dryer vent. Our dryer vent was very difficult to clean because of the way the dryer vent was routed. Also, the fact that the vent hadn't been cleaned in a very long time made the job even more challenging. Even though the job was difficult, Lance was able to skillfully remove all of the debris and lint that was clogged in the vent. Went on Angis and they sent Duct Man. We were getting estimates at the time. Their estimate was $1300.00. When I told the gentleman that we were getting other quotes, he immediatley dropped the price $500.00. I told them we were not going to commit at that time. After he left we received a call from Duct Man saying that we can pay $800.00 if we paid cash. We did not accept and had Stanley Steemer do it for $530.00. They did a wonderful job. When I received my credit card statement there was the charge from Stanley Steemer and a charge to Angi for $529.16 which I disputed. Obviously, Duct Man told Angi that they did the job. read more

These guys are incredibly professional. They did some work on my dryer vent, and I had mentioned to them in passing that I like to close the driveway gate because I have a dog. After they finished the job and left, I found that they had closed the gate for me. Small gestures like that go a long way. I also needed them to sign a form afterwards for Mass Save and was worried I wouldn't be able to reach them since they already got paid for the job. He did a great job cleaning the vent, but not only that, he also discovered that the builders had put in an improper vent (major fire hazard). We had suspected this might be the case, as our dryer never worked properly. He changed the bad vent out for us and put something appropriate in, and now our dryer actually works as intended. I was happy to find someone with such positive reviews. From the initial contact I knew Lance was a top notch professional. He promptly returned my call and was able to give me an estimate. We are in the process of renovating our home and cleaning the ducts was the last step before we moved in. We were having the final coat of polyurethane on our floors of the house and Lance was quick to say that we should wait before having him over. He was concerned about the floors still be tacky the day after the final coat of poly. Let me tell you that impressed me! Any other contractor would have just come through run around with their hoses and run the risk of damaging a floor. We waited a week and Lance and Aaron came through today and wow! We recently moved into a new condo, and were excited to finally have laundry in our unit. Imagine our dismay when we noticed during the first dryer load that the red light was indicating that the vent needed to be cleaned. A hand waved under the outside vent confirmed that the air flow was sub-par. I called Duct Man and Lance was able to schedule an appointment with us the next week. He and his co-worker did an extremely efficient and thorough job, and also provided me with a helpful explanation of how best to ward this off in the future (without the need to revamp the entire duct system). This is a late review but I wanted to thank Duct Man for doing such a great job. Our dryer was taking double the time to dry. Lance and his assistant did an excellent job removing lint that was deep inside the unit with a compressor. The lint was burnt and could have been a fire hazard. When I bought my new condo I didn't even realize that cleaning a dryer vent was something that needed to be done at all, let alone every 1-2 years. A neighbor in our association pointed out ours was quite clogged, so I went on the hunt. DIY? Call in the professionals? With our dryer on the second floor, it didn't seem like a super straightforward job, so we opted for the professional route. Duct Man was definitely the most consistently high-rated team that also had the most transparent pricing, they answered all of my advance questions by phone, and then since we got more than one unit in the condo to be on board, they reduced the price from $175 to $125 each. Lance and his partner (Aaron?) were outstanding. They showed up on time, and called about an hour before to confirm their arrival. I thought I needed to get a new vent from them (which would've cost me more money), but they shared that my setup was fine and there was no reason to pay more. They caught some problems with our neighbor's set up (too small a vent, advised to fix - they weren't doing the repairs, just diagnostic), helped shorten the duct setup in mine and a neighbor's units so that it was less likely to trap lint (and in my case gave us more useable square footage, since we could push the W/D farther back). Also, not their specialty, but they helped me figure out how to clean my washer screen, too. Further, they showed me how to pop the cage off from our window so we wouldn't need a ladder, and explained how to do maintenance with a bristle brush so it wouldn't clog so quickly. All told, these guys were awesome and I'd hire them back in a heartbeat. Recommend!! read more
