Upon reaching out to Seashore they dismissed me and told me in so many words "Oh well." They told me a bed bug investigation was done on 10/15 and no bed bugs were seen. After some of our own research and a call to the health department. It was discovered that on 10/15 a bed bug investigation was done by a Western sales representative, not a technician. The sales representative, unqualified, found no bed bugs on 10/15. On 10/29 an email was sent to the CMC Health Department by us; to try and get to the bottom of the situation. On 10/30, a visit from a qualified Western technician and the health department, bed bugs were found. As more information was uncovered it was found that the Western visit on 10/15 was prompted after a woman left and reported bed bug bites as well. Seashore Campground has done nothing to even try and attempt to rectify this situation. They have tried to cover this situation up with lies and avoidance. No one will return our phone calls or emails. We are now concerned the bugs have been brought into our personal home and will be facing a hefty extermination bill if this is the case. This is both negligence on Seashore and Western. Be careful before you book your stay. They aren't taking preventative measures against bed bugs. Only "dealing" with problems as they arise -- and half ass*d at that. The managers are rude and dismissive. They told me they handled this situation with the "Golden Rule" in mind -- treating others as you would like to be treated. I am not sure if constant scratching and bug bites on your face, arms and legs is in the top ten choices of how a person would like to be treated -- but if they had proper hospitality training they would have learned this in their first lesson. Shame on your Sun Outdoors, and honestly Western too. Do better. Cape May County is a small town -- what goes around comes around.

The campground has soft gravel for dogs. It is beautiful and large. It has a place for fishing. It can fun for golf carts and bike riding. There isn't many bugs here either. You won't find anything as nice this close to the beach. there must be seasonal campers here that act like they own it. I was walking past a seasonal site s4 and their german shepherds almost came thru the screen room causing me to fall, and the owner clearly had no control over the dogs, and didn't care. I'd stay here again, but there needs to be more control over campers with aggressive dogs. The people next to them came to my aid, with their dog in control. I never got a chance to thank them.

So, probably since the 1970s. That is about 40 years! We have always felt happy about our time here, and it was a convenient place to stay close to the beach. We went from tent camping, to pop-up trailer, to a 32 foot trailer, which was an exciting leap for our family. The reason why I write this now is I still get mad as I drive past their location. The way it works is that if you own a seasonal trailer you make a deposit in winter. My parents did that. In 2020, of course no one knew what was going on. My parents as usual had asked if they could delay payment when they were collecting early that year until we could find out what the beach was doing. They were told no. So, we made the deposit. In June -July most of the beaches were basically closed down or minimal options to go on the beach or anything. We asked them if we could wait to still see what the beaches were going to do when we needed to make the full season payment. They basically told us "PAY UP OR GET OUT!" For years of loyalty, this is quite sickening. They gave my parents a week to get their trailer off the property and so we ended up having to sell it for a cheap amount because we didn't have anything to trailer it, and they wouldn't let us leave it on their property. They were unwilling and in my opinion extremely selfish to refund any or even part of our deposit. And what makes matters worse, if they weren't even willing to do that, they didn't even kindly offer as an alternative to comp a certain amount of stays there till it made up for the deposit. All, I can say is that I feel after this that they treat their customers like dirt because of their GREED. "Earth provides enough to satisfy every man's needs, but not every man's greed." ― Mahatma Gandhi

Employees drive wayyy too fast on golf carts but yet they STRICTLY enforce the 5mph speed limit to their guests. Play grounds are out dated and falling apart. Nice campground but unfortunately aggressive towards EV owners…read more I've stayed here for roughly a month total in the last year or so and was warned early on that they believe charging EVs (even just trickle charging from 15 amp receptacles) will damage their electrical system. While this is an obviousfallacy especially for overnight charging when electrical demand is lower. It seemed the campground was attempting to be accommodating by installing an EV charger at the gate and more recently another at the main pool. This is apparently more of a price gouging move than a genuine attempt at supporting EV owners. The rate they charge is more than triple the prevailing electricity rate. It's even more expensive than the Superchargers a mile or so away at the courthouse. The reason I use the word aggressive to describe this EV politics is because despite not having a single mention of it in their extensive rules they diligently police the property to the point of entering peoples sites to check if EVs are plugged in then taking pictures of them, to come back and confront you later about it. When I'm spending thousands of dollars to stay at a campground on vacation I don't appreciate being lectured over a few bucks worth of electricity nor having my site entered and my privacy invaded to check enforcement of a rule that isn't even listed as a rule except possibly under the section that says they can add more rules at anytime. (Yes they literally have a rule that says that.) The campground facilities are generally nice but there's a lot of nice campgrounds in the area especially at this premium price point. If your an EV owner feel free to enjoy the site just be aware of the aggressive policies and privacy invasion that will come with staying at this location. Campgrounds understandably need to pick their battles and apparently this one has chosen to fight against EVs, police their charging and gouge them on electricity rates.

If you lucky enough to stay out of his way the place can be nice and the office staff in particular are quite friendly and helpful. If however you have an issue come up and Tod gets involved you'd in for a bad day. we will improve restriction on what HE will and will not allow you to do. Going as far as to chain my golf cart to a tree because he had a complaint of bad driving (no accidents, drinking etc nor anything he saw first hand just something he "heard"). Playground is nice and cute as is the activity center but I feel it's under utilized and wish they did more activities there. Lake Laurie is nice and there's even a cute little golf cart trail around it. Tod will however come after you is he discovers you drove down the wrong path but it's otherwise a nice little path. I with the beach were better maintained though. Despite being very strict in some areas they don't do anything about smokers on the beach which is pretty annoying especially as my kids are digging up trash and cigarette butts etc. It would be nice if the sand was raked clean and ideally have more sand brought in since dirt is starting to get mixed in with the existing sand down closer to the water. If they could get rid of Tod and get some better more acomidating management in here and exercise a little more care this could become really nice unfortunately it seams they like Tod and will let him continue to ruin the place for now. You're better off finding a nicer campground in the area there are plenty.

Although we left a day early on Friday August 9th 2024, because of the hurricane remnants that may cause a rainstorm. Anyways, the bathrooms by the pool were clean. The pool was also very nice as we went to it twice this vacation. Although it was a little green, not completely, but more like light aqua green. Maybe they need chemical or something?Very nice though. This trip, we also went to the lake, and it is very much improved. There are lounge chairs, sand was clean, and it seemed alot better than the prior times that i have been here. They also have activities on the weekend including friday- like a magic show, a food truck, and art activities. Glad to see this campground improve. We stay here because it is an easy 5-10 minute ride to wildwood, and the surrounding cape may area, and we fit as we have a big long 5th wheel. Wifi was easy to connect to, However had trouble connecting to the roku tv, and sometimes the wifi would go in and out, thus making the tv freeze, and the channels freeze- (both via cable channels and the roku channels) Although, was able to find the channels after the connection was lost. Anyways, overall enjoyed our stay here.
