[962] This Cape May Campsite/RV Resort is near Wildwood and the beach at Cape May. The bushes before the site are high so be careful you don't pass the entrance like we almost did a few times (Ok I did once at least). The resort is clean and has a small cute movie theater, activity center (we did not use it), basketball and tennis court. There is a nice size pool and a huge lake which is dog friendly (not a fan of this rule)... The resort has nice seasonal site but the rentals are on the smaller side. The first few nights were felt squashed in with the big RV buses on all sides of us. Once they left it felt a bit roomy with the empty sites. The fire ring is made from cement and kind of sucky. The wood table was worn. The staff was very friendly. The camp store was huge with many items to choose. The ice cream shop had tasty treat and also served good food. We had our bikes so it was easy to bike around the resort especially to the lake. It was quiet in our area during quiet areas (I saw others had issues). A few stores/markets (Aldi, Giant, Starbucks) were nearby so it was easy to run for missing items. Internet was crappy even with my hotspot. I guess it's good as it forced me to relax more but I like having my own option. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back next year. read more

We came for a peaceful camping weekend but left a day early--exhausted, angry and concerned for our safety. The neighboring group blasted bass-heavy music from Friday night through Sunday morning, sometimes beginning around 8 a.m. Their music and conversations included extremely offensive, profane and racist language, even though children were present. Their site grew to approximately four cars and five tents, and their two unleashed dogs repeatedly entered our campsite and bothered our leashed dog. We complained multiple times to the office, security booth and staff, but kept getting passed around. The music would briefly go down and then start again. The same group even brought a huge speaker to the lake, making it impossible to escape the noise. On Sunday morning, Alvin from security finally got them to lower the music and put their dogs away, but they were already preparing to leave. They continued cursing and angrily discussing who had reported them. They were clearly very angry, and the situation became so concerning that I carried mace and nearly called the police. We could not relax, talk, cook or enjoy the campground. I have camped and traveled extensively and have never experienced anything this disruptive or so poorly handled. We will never return. read more

We stayed at Sun Outdoors, Seashore Campground 10/24-10/26 in Cabin V13. 10/25, I woke up with a few bites. 10/26 I woke up covered in bites. 10/27, went to urgent care, with no mention of my recent travels and they asked if I had traveled and immediately diagnosed me with bed bug bites. Upon reaching out to Seashore they dismissed me and told me in so many words "Oh well." They told me a bed bug investigation was done on 10/15 and no bed bugs were seen. After some of our own research and a call to the health department. It was discovered that on 10/15 a bed bug investigation was done by a Western sales representative, not a technician. The sales representative, unqualified, found no bed bugs on 10/15. On 10/29 an email was sent to the CMC Health Department by us; to try and get to the bottom of the situation. On 10/30, a visit from a qualified Western technician and the health department, bed bugs were found. As more information was uncovered it was found that the Western visit on 10/15 was prompted after a woman left and reported bed bug bites as well. Seashore Campground has done nothing to even try and attempt to rectify this situation. They have tried to cover this situation up with lies and avoidance. No one will return our phone calls or emails. We are now concerned the bugs have been brought into our personal home and will be facing a hefty extermination bill if this is the case. This is both negligence on Seashore and Western. Be careful before you book your stay. They aren't taking preventative measures against bed bugs. Only "dealing" with problems as they arise -- and half ass*d at that. The managers are rude and dismissive. They told me they handled this situation with the "Golden Rule" in mind -- treating others as you would like to be treated. I am not sure if constant scratching and bug bites on your face, arms and legs is in the top ten choices of how a person would like to be treated -- but if they had proper hospitality training they would have learned this in their first lesson. Shame on your Sun Outdoors, and honestly Western too. Do better. Cape May County is a small town -- what goes around comes around. read more

The campground has soft gravel for dogs. It is beautiful and large. It has a place for fishing. It can fun for golf carts and bike riding. There isn't many bugs here either. The campsite is very nice except for a few issues not have not been addressed over the many years we have been coming here. First, the WIFI is absolutely terrible! I have complained before and it never improves. 2nd, when we checked in, we were told that there currently no cable TV. We were told to stream which was terrible as I stated above. Last, there was an older gentleman that works there as a pool attendant. He told one of the guests that vaping is not allowed in the fenced area of the swimming lake in a scolding tone and told the guest that it's against the rules and that he did not make up the rules. He then ran off to find the woman in charge of the pools (her name is Marie). She came in hot on her golf cart like Bo Luke in the Dukes of Hazzard and came over to the guest and started yelling at the guest like she committed murder. Totally uncalled for!!! She has an absolutely terrible personality and should not be working in the hospitality industry. There were a few other staff members that were very rude towards guests (including us). When I'm paying over $1000 for a week here, I expect to be treated much better. We almost felt like we were bothering the staff. We have seen Marie many times over the years and never see any behavior changes. The staff could use a good training session on hospitality and appreciation that guests come here to relax and spend a lot of money here to do so, so they are employed. read more

(09/04 - 09/08/ 25) Having stayed at this campground numerous times, we were very disappointed during our last stay. The campground was as clean as always & the staff was incredibly courteous & attentive to our needs. The disappointing aspect was the lack of "real" cable. The campground did provide a cable box if you asked, but it only got local channels. It had to be connected to one TV (we have 6), or it could be connected at the pedestal, running the risk of the box shorting out if it rained (it did). We could have gotten the same number & variety of channels from the 'over the air antenna'. For the price we paid for our stay 'real' cable should have been accessible. Also, there was no mention of the lack of 'real' cable when we made our reservation. As mentioned above, the staff was exceptional, especially Lula. She made the stay bearable. At this point it is extremely doubtful that we will ever return to this campground. read more

DO BETTER SUN. This is the progress of the trash receptacle removal. We are left with transient trash resulting in flies and mice. Big empty blocks of concrete our kids could get hurt on or holes where concrete once was our kids could fall in. If you are up early to take your trash to respected area the gate is locked. It's almost like Lenny from mice of men is in charge. Now the store hours are 5pm all week and 7pm Fri and Sat how accommodating you are Sun. Keep taking and taking. My elder retired neighbors were just telling me they had a fire one quiet night after 11 having a conversation and guards pulled up and threatened them with buckets of water if they didn't put out their fire. I cannot say enough fabulous things about this Resort. We stayed for 4 months while we were waiting for our house to be built. They expended our stay at least 3 times. They couldn't have been more understanding, welcoming, and fun. We loved every minute. The laundry was clean and always working, restrooms clean, trash pickup easy, general feel of the place is just warm. This was a wonderful way to be welcomed to New Jersey. read more

We camped here for one night end of April and can say we're pleased. Staff is very friendly and helpful. They are also informative. Since it was off season, site was pretty quiet. They have tent sites with or without electric/water, rv sites and cabins. Bathrooms were clean and laundry mats are open next to each bathroom. My only complaint is tent spaces are very tiny. I stayed here with my family this past weekend. Having only ever camped sans electricity, coming here with our new pop up and having electricity was pretty great! Our site was very large (site W10) and had electricity, water and cable. We also had a fire pit, I believe every site has one as well. The grounds were very clean. The front office/store was really nice! Very well thought out store. They had just about anything a camper could need from food to hoses, firewood to souvenirs. Some cons were that the wifi signal was not good at all. I know, you're supposed to be camping, enjoying nature, but if you offer it and people are expecting to use it, it should work. Also, the heater in the pool was broken and the water was freezing so we didn't get to use the pool :( It's too bad because we were looking forward to using it but it was late September after all, and without the heater, it was just too cold. And many of the campers there are either seasonal or residents so it kind of felt like we were squatting in someone's neighborhood, if that makes any sense. We're used to camping at grounds that are solely for vacationers, and the vibe is much different here. Another thing, our trash never got picked up so we had to take care of that ourselves even though we saw the trash removal truck come through on day one. Just never saw them again. But the staff was very nice. They have a guard at the entrance who doesn't allow anyone in without a parking pass. That was nice. They also have a game room and basketball court. I am a seasonal camper and I've been here for a number of years. I love this place it's like a second home. Everyone has been more than accommodating. Until this one night when I believe it went too far. A Sun resort employee Anthony Dessesa takes my 9 year old out on a golf cart ride on a sun resort owned golf cart. All fine right... NO. I find out from my son Anthony was bouncing from tent site to tent site doing shots of red bull in exchange for food. All the while I'm out on my golf cart in search of my son for over an hour. Solid campground near Cape May. Campsite was clean, and there was running water and power. The two critiques are that we felt the campsites were too close together, so not as much privacy as we would have liked. Also, the round concrete fire pits do not allow your fire to get the oxygen it needs to grow. We expended 4 of our fire starters to figure this out. read more

We camped here in a pop up. I want to start off by saying this is the cleanest campground I have ever seen. Their camp store is also the best that I have ever seen in a campground. It puts most convenience stores to shame. The prices are also reasonable and the owners should rightly be proud of this. The spots also were immaculate. They were clean, there was no brush in the spots (for those spots who had dirt) and the fire rings were clean. Now for the bad. Since we camped in a pop up and the park was not full, we got a space by the seasonal part of the campground. This area was wooded and had space between the spots. Overall it was a great location, except for the noise. There were people behind us who spoke very loud, and did not shut up. They had no respect for the quiet hours at all. This noise started at 7:15 am and did not stop until after 11:30. The second night we were there, we called security and they came and the noise stopped for 5 minutes. The noise started again and we had to call security to again to get them to shut up. I have never seen this before in a campground. Another concern that I have about this campground is the closeness of the spaces that were assigned to the class A, B and C units. The spaces were paved and slightly bigger than a driveway. There were units with slideouts and I dont think that they were able to use the slideouts. That section of the park had all the charm of a Wal Mart parking lot. Would we stay here again, probably not. Room Tip: Request a spot in the seasonal section. read more

I stayed for the first time at this campground at one of their tent sites. Although my tent site did not have electricity, the utilities were modern and there was much to do on the campground alone! Not to mention Cape May beaches were only 10 minutes away. However, given that the US just passed 4 million COVID-19 cases, there was not much social distancing. The camp sites were close together and there was clearly no enforcement on wearing masks. There was even a lot of people at the pool/pond and again, no social distancing. I also did not like all the Trump propaganda that I saw - doesn't make for a safe, diverse, family-friendly campground. It looked like one Trump sign was even utilizing a stop sign, which I believe would be the property of the campground. Just a heads up to those looking for a safe, diverse trip! read more

What an incredible campground. We had so much fun. From the moment I contacted them for a reservation, Marsha at the front desk treated me with kind courteous and thoughtful assistance. We had some hiccups and she was there to help and assist immediately. Renn, an employee who works with the electrical stuff was immediate, professional and helpful and went the extra mile for us too. There are so many things to do we couldn't get them all done on our first visit so Marsha helped us book another visit. She really is amazing!! Can't wait for our next trip. Thank you guys. Stayed here the second weekend in September for my second time camping. This place is great! My review is for tent camping though they have many other options. Grounds are very clean and the staff is super friendly. Its a very large space with a lot of area to explore and walk around. The Pool was lovely, the lake when we went was closed so I didn't have the opportunity to check it out though it did look kind of dirty. The shop on the grounds is great, super well thought out and has everything you would need. They have a snack shop with 'fast food' type things to order which is nice. We stayed In the A1 area which gives a more woods feel than some of the other areas. Like I said its a large space so expect to walk a lot from the gates to your area, When they see you the staff is willing to pick you up on the carts the drive and take you in the direction which I thought was cool. Showers and bathrooms were very clean. The showers cost a quarter, that gets you about 15 minutes. They have outlets at campsites as well as around the place. They have a really nice fitness center that is air conditioned has a TV and is open 24 hours which is really cool. They also have plenty of playgrounds and a little rec center with games and such. This was a much better alternative to paying an exorbitant amount of money to stay at a cape may hotel. Despite what the information says, you can't walk to the cape may town from here, it's too far and its down interstate roads so its dangerous. It is a very short drive away though which is nice. Also, there is a great antique shop rtight outside the grounds. I highly recommend this spot. read more

We stayed at Seashore on a tent w/ electric site for one night this past weekend and I have no complaints from the campground perspective. I'd like to write a review on the jerks who stayed in the site behind us and thought 2 am was the perfect time to strum up what I can only assume was a ukulele, but that's not Seashore's fault - and when I walked to the ranger station they handled it immediately! Unfortunately they couldn't stay there forever so we had to deal with inconsiderate, loud campers until exhaustion finally gave way at 3 am and we drifted off. Seashore is a very spacious campsite with a variety of 'ways to stay' options. We thoroughly enjoyed the swim-in lake (and the DJ who played from 5-7). The beach is sort of small and there are limited loungers so bring your camp chairs! My girls wanted to try the deep end slide in the worst way...maybe next time! They loved the various playgrounds and my husband loved the very large general store where he was able to get iced tea and coffee. The bathrooms are well-located, very clean, and well-lit both inside and out. Make sure you bring your quarters for the shower - 25 cents will get you 15 minutes. We used the bathhouse on Goldfinch just past Holly and unfortunately the water pressure was just above a trickle in stall #2 - but I know I heard better pressure in the other 3 stalls! I just picked the wrong one. We would definitely visit Seashore again and hopefully make it a longer stay so we can utilize all the other wonderful amenities (pool, fishing lake, scheduled activities). The location is perfect - about 10-15 minutes from the Wildwood beachs and boardwalk (depending on traffic). read more

We had to find a place to stay since our hotel was absolutely discgusting and when we told Seashore (our friends were staying there) they found a cabin for us to rent. They were so helpful. The cabin was updated, clean and super cozy. We were with other families and we enjoyed our time there, especially at night, outdoors. No bugs since the ground was gravel. Reserved four nights here over Memorial Day weekend and left a day early. Overall it's not such a bad place, but you should know what to expect. We had different expectations. Firstly, quiet hours were not enforced. Several groups were very loud. Some people actually live on the campgrounds. We were not in an RV or a trailer... just a tent, so it didn't make us feel like we were actually camping. They have U-shaped concrete blocks (too heavy to move) to contain a campfire. Note that even the largest grill rack they sell at their store (24") is too small to fit the span of these blocks, as the opening is greater than 24". Bathrooms seem to be well kept, and showers are coin-op. I would think that the average shower would last $0.50 worth. Laundry facilities were a blessing as we experienced long and heavy rains and we needed to wash and dry some of our stuff. Staff seemed to be very friendly. Location is in biking distance of the beach and Cape May, although you should be experienced on roads with automobile traffic to do this. Much of the route south has a dedicated bike lane. As I said... this is not such a bad place, but this is not the kind of place we would like to go camping in the future. read more

First off, The pool is fantastic!! The sites are way too close together. The person in front of your camper hooks up to sewer right at your picnic table and I heard all kinds of people complaining that they could hear surrounding campers talking and their tvs. The one playground has a real health issue with huge amounts of bird droppings on the slide. The park has a lot of swampy waters around the perimeter and the mosquitos are a nightmare. The staff is pleasant and friendly and there is a nice store and produce in the front of the campground. read more

This was our second visit to this location. Sun RV that owns this site has becoming challenging to deal with. We had to call 8 time to finally get through to the 800 # to check availability. All other times we held to speak with an agent for a long period then got a recording that they were too busy to take our call and please leave a message. We did and our message was never returned. The last visit was in the fall and it was awesome. This visit we were surprised at the activity. Neighbors with loud music. Kids running around the roads unsupervised on bikes. Long lines at the camp store and office. Golf carts all over the place with teen age drivers all hours of the nite. Friday night was the worst. It was "HonkyTonk" at best. People blowing car horns, loud music, loud cars circling, loud golf carts until wee hours of the night. Not The Cape May experience we expected based on our visit the prior year. Sites are REALLY close in some areas. Internet was not good at all. When speaking with staff about Sun RV they never said anything bad but you could tell they hear complaints often. read more

Positives: The grounds are well kept with frequent recycling and garbage pickup and attractive landscaping. The bath houses are clean and for a quarter you can have a long hot shower in a private stall. The reception center includes a well-stocked store and a snack shop for quick food and ice cream. There is a great heated pool with a kiddie section as well as an artificial lake and beach. These both close early in the evening (6:45pm and 7pm) so schedule your swims with that in mind. There are also kiddie playgrounds, miniature golf, a game room, tennis and basketball courts and a pavilion for hosting music or flea market or bingo - whatever. Plus, there are movies, free internet and lots of activities planned to keep everyone occupied. Did I mention, it is close to Cape May? Negatives: It can be very crowded on a weekend in the summer - some of the campsites are really crowded together allowing very little privacy. The fire pit in our campsite was not usable as it was too close to the road and to cars on either side to allow chairs around it. It was in the point of our pie-shaped site. I did notice that most other sites had better situated fire-pits but the sites could not be described as "roomy". This is definitely not wilderness camping and there are swarms of golf carts "cruising" the main drag in the evenings. Since they are electric, you have difficulty hearing them approach so you need to be alert when walking or biking around. During our stay, there was also a lot of noise after the supposed quiet hour with no apparent attempt to enforce quiet hours. That is a big negative for a family campground. read more

Vacationed during the "off season" as first time RVers and pleasantly surprised at the politeness of staff. Personal escort to RV site. Very clean grounds. Fire pit at site, along with gravel spots. Huge trees, a fishing pond, swimming lake. Secured entry. Random security checks throughout night. Daily trash pick up. Well stock convenience store with food, souvenirs, RV supplies, knick knacks and what nots. People respected quiet hours. Every staff member was easy going, knowledgeable, professional and I honestly believe they love what they do. About a 10 minute drive to the town of Cape May.
