Shame on your managers! That is how you treat your guests. It's been almost a year since my first visit to DerElefant, when smbd has stolen my beautiful umbrella from the restaurant wardrobe. Every time I've been there after the incident - the managers (first it was Robert, than another ones) told me different stories: the new umbrella was on the way, the umbrella is already at manager's place and he is going to send me.. blablabla.. I've never received neither umbrella, nor a call or email from the managers - nothing. That is how the work of the managers can efforts the image of the whole place. read more

Hello my Yelpies, I've got to say. This is the best way to end my amazing vacation in Europe. My parents and I came here for the first time just pretty much wonder in. It was the best idea ever. Parking here is pretty convenient you can park right in front so don't ever need worry about finding parking. We decided to sit outside because of the gorgeous weather. They decorate the place extremely classy, I was very comfortable and yet excited. For the appetizer we order the prawns which was mouth watering delicious. It came with coating of bread which add a crisp to the shrimp, the sauce was seasoned to perfection. As for main course I order their classic burger with a fried egg with a side of French fries. The burger was definitely worth the money, the beef was the perfect thickness, bread wasn't too hard and yet has a crisp on the side. I definitely suggest everyone who goes there to try their famous burger. My parents order their seafood plate. It came with King crab, mussel, shrimp and etc. I personally didn't try it because I was overwhelmed by my gigantic burger. But they said it was also very delicious. The king crab had a side of hot butter sauce which has the wonderful bland with the crab. As for drinks I definitely suggest their lemonade with passion fruits. If you like passion fruit like me this is the drink for you. I even finished my mum's portion too because of how good it was. The only downside about this place would be their service, it took over 45 minutes for our food and over 20 minutes for dessert and waiting for our check. I do hope that they can speed up a little bit with the service because the wait time definitely makes you lose your appetite. But overall, 5 stars for food and drinks, 4 stars for service, 5 stars for environment and decoration and 5 stars for cleanliness. I wish I can come back again, but for now I'll let my parents enjoy it as much as they can. Thank you for a wonderful experience and the perfect ending to my unforgettable trip to Poland. read more

The server spoke English well and he even made a joke! But several times he needed to be flagged down because we needed something. This is a chronic problem in Poland and it makes me wonder if I should just get used to waving my arms for service. I order the angus steak. Being from Texas, I've eaten a lot of meat. The flavor was great but the steak was rare and not medium rare as I ordered. The steak comes with one side and I chose the mashed potatoes. I was disappointed with the size of the side. Maybe a 4 star rating would be better, but I expected a little more for the price. I wouldn't mind going back, but for 150pln for 2 people, I'll probably try another restaurant. read more

We wanted a nice bar for our last night in Warsaw, stumbled upon this place and couldn't believe our luck! We were shown upstairs, and given a couple of high seat at the impressive copper bar. It was a fantastic spot - great for people watching, as well as being able to see the bar staff at work, and we were nicely tucked out the way as well - we were wearing tourist walking about clothes, and I felt a bit under-dressed as Der Elefant is one classy place. But sat at the bar, I was quite happy. We merrily worked our way through the different flavoured vodkas, being attentively looked after by the bar staff, who were happy to ply us with a couple of free home-made lemon vodkas too - a nice touch. This is a very visually pleasing place. Food is delicious every time I visited which is now the 4th time. I have only been to the fish market section and probably will stay on that side for now. Service is OK but I was rather surprised that after tipping 25% there was no one at the door to say goodby. It would have been just the little extra touch to make it more memorable. read more

We went there on August 1st. The venue is very nice, especially when you sit in the patio. What was less great was the service: Friendly but confused at high level. There was enough staff, but no structure. Our food came before drinks, our food sat on the serving plate for about 10 minutes until served (so it got cold...) and after everything was served, we had to ask for the missing silverware. Empty tables next to us were not cleaned off for more than 30 minutes and half empty water glasses were emptied on the floor (prime strategy in COVID times...). Waiters were wearing face masks but completely useless as they were touching them at least once a minute. I would give the food 4 stars....nicely prepared but you can certainly eat better in Warsaw. read more

Yummi yummi! A gem in Ratusz! Trust me, it's a big restaurant, good for groups or more intimate place. Fan of seafood and grilled dishes? Go for it! Very good options in a city that doesn't has much when it comes to Mediterranean food. Octopus, calamari, all come with a taste of Mediterranean and well condimented. Sit outside of its summer, won't regret it. read more

Food was excellent, but service HORRIBLE. After the meal the waitress brought me the desert menu, we discussed it and I decided to pass. I asked her then for the check. It took 45 minutes and 2 more asks to get it. Put me in a horrible mood and as far as I am concerned ruined the evening. Beautiful restaurant with a wide selection of kitchens represented on the menu. We all had meat and the sirloin was absolutely delicious. Unfortunately the staff was unfriendly from the moment we entered the restaurant, to when we got our food (two hours later) and still when we got our jackets from the wardrobe. The long wait for the food was compensated with free desserts by the host, who was a solid class act of a man. This restaurant has the menu, quality of food and venue to afford four stars but the harrowing encounter with the staff makes me reluctant to recommend this restaurant to anyone. read more

Seafood is fresh... rare in warsaw. Place is fancy and great for entertaining groups. On the more expensive side of the spectrum... but you get what you pay for... great service, delicious food and a romantic ambiance. I had a great tartar... my first so i can't be a good judge.. but I loved it. i also had calamaries which were good and the best burger ive had since I got here from Miami. Our hotel recommended this hotel to us. We stated we were looking for something nice, but not overly fancy. He really talked it up stating it was in an old converted office building and was very trendy. He was able to get us reservations, but stated that we shouldn't be late. He was right. The restaurant was quite pretty, big, and was slammed. I didn't see a single open table when we walked in. We were sat right away and our server came over right away and took our order. We ordered two beers, a bottle of water, and bread. It took about 10 minutes for our beer to arrive, but that's all that arrived. About 15 minutes later, another server came over to hand us menus, but we already had menus. About 10 more minutes later our original server came back to take our order. I had to remind him about the water and bread. He was very apologetic and I could tell they were busy. We went ahead and ordered our appetizers and entrees together because we didn't want to wait that long again. Each course was slow to come out and we ran out of drinks and water. We were there about two hours and only were able to get two drink orders in. The food was very average, as well. Nothing blew me away...I had a fish and some onion rings. I don't want to say the servers were to blame, I think they are covering way too many tables. Smaller tables seem to be pushed to the sides as the larger tables are taken care of promptly. read more

Ver nice ambience, very average food and service. The place is well established, nice decoration (except the disgusting elephant head) but the food was nothing more than average. Salmon tartare for appetizer (not very tasteful) and tuna steak for entreé, which was overcooked. After waiting 10' for the chocolate cake I am told that they ran out of it.
